WC:220: Sorry its so short!It was the start of any normal day for Emiline. She got up, brushed her hair, got dressed, and went to the great hall for breakfast. Then she had lessons then the great hall for lunch. Then back a third time for dinner. For some reason it was louder in the great hall than normal. But as it's Hogwarts, Emiline thought nothing of it and pulled out her book to read while eating. A rather bad habit she had picked up over the years of being at this school.
A few minutes after sitting down and like only two mouthfuls of her dinner. She hears a gasp then....

Mashed potato lands on her hands and book. "What the hell?!" Her head snaps towards the direction it came from and saw a girl standing there holding a spoon still with some mashed potato on, the culprit.
Emiline gives that girl a look and then grabs seven napkins and starts dabbing her book trying to remove the potato without ruining the pages. "It's fine. It's fine.... Just an accident, probably.... surely?" She mutters under her breath. The book pages don't seem to be getting rid of the mashed potato so emiline tips the whole book upside down, holds it by the cover and shakes, as if trying to find a lost bookmark.

🅻𝔦𝔩𝔶 had been enjoying her time, throwing food all over. She didn't care who saw her, because this time she was just focusing on laughing and having fun. This was the first time since December that she had this much fun, and she wasn't going to miss the opportunity. She was throwing the food at people whom she knew even a little bit, perhaps having talked someday or maybe they might have met in the common room. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Then it all happened in a second. Someone had bumped into her, and instead of hitting her target, Lily accidentally hit a Hufflepuff girl. "Oh shit," she cursed herself in her mind but the damage was already done now. All she could do was watch as the girl tried to remove the mashed potatoes from her book first with napkins, then by shaking it upside-down. he scene would have been pretty funny, except she was the sole cause of it. She went towards the girl, her ears red with embarrassment. "I am so, so, so sorry that I accidentally hit you," she began with a sheepish smile. "I was actually aiming for someone else, but I guess I lost my target." After a minute, she asked tentatively. "Is there anything I can do to fix it?" |
