In general soft, gentle reminders are a part of community culture. There is nothing wrong with saying "this is what we do here" and to be helpful. But if someone is truly lost, the mentor program serves as an additional resource for them. You would be doing them a disservice by omitting the information if it would be beneficial. I am a huge proponent of autonomy and letting a person decide their best path.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.
