A Letter Home
It was the day after the sorting and Rain finally had the chance to write to his parents. He hoped the school owl who would take his letter would be able to get to his home quick and return with a prompt reply. He really wanted his parents to quickly send the books he was requesting. Rain couldn’t let his new friend down.

Dear Mama and Pa,
I’ve finally been sorted. I think you’ll be quite surprised to hear where I’ve ended up. Gryffindor!! I’m not sure what the hat was thinking and I’m not entirely convinced yet but I’ll make the most of it. Sorry I won’t be in the same House as the rest of the family, Mama. You always told me it wouldn’t matter so I won’t worry too much.
Anyways, tell Storme and Oceanus that I love them and that when I come back for a break I’ll have lots of stories to tell them.
Speaking of stories to tell, I think I’ve made a new friend on the train. His name’s Morgan and he’s a Muggleborn. Can you believe it? He doesn’t know much of the Magical world, he didn’t even know Merlin and Morgan le Fay were real. We talked and I told him I would write you and ask if you could send some magical books so we could do an exchange where he asks his parents for some Muggle books for me. Doesn’t that sound so fun? I’m really excited. My first friend at Hogwarts.
I think you should send Tales of Beedle the Bard, a magical creatures tome, and a history text, please make it an interesting one, with lots of pictures.
