A fear that unites

I was completely exhausted. The full moon was fast approaching, and I really didn't want to experience my first full moon without my mom. I felt very uneasy, so as I walked down the halls, I muttered to myself.

"Damn full moon. It's exhausting, but oh well, I'm not the only one who feels this way."

Instinctively, I touched my scar with my fingertips. This scar reminded me of that fateful day when the werewolf attacked, appearing out of nowhere. It had been quite a tiring and harrowing battle. But Mom felt terrible that I had become a werewolf.
I stopped by a window to look out and think about everything that had happened in such a short time. My move from Japan, arriving in England, and my Japanese accent taking over. The Hogwarts letter, the werewolf attack, well, you get the picture. A ton of things had happened in far too little time. I needed to take a breather, but the approaching full moon wasn't helping me relax. It was actually stressing me out.

To calm myself, I held my Black Rose pendant in my right hand. A gift for my first Christmas, and since that day…it's never left my side.

─────Lucian was trying to get to his next class. He was eager to learn about magic as he had grown in a family that didn't have magic. So everything here mesmerized the young boy. He looked around and ran to the next class. With his books and notebooks in his hand, he was getting late for the class and didn't see whom he bumped into. His things fell on the ground. He bent down to pick them up. "I am so sorry. I was in a rush. I hope I didn't hurt you." He babbled. He was scared that he might have hurt the other person. Why couldn't he take care where he walking.

Once he picked his stuff up. He looked at the other person. He stretched his hand out for the other person to take. "Do you need a hand?" He asked softly. He was not going to let his clumsiness get in the way of him being kind. He smiled softly, an unsure one- whether the other person was okay or not. "I am Lucian." He introduced to himself to her. He had gotten all his books and notebooks in one hand. He looked at the other person waiting for a response.

As I was looking out the window, I heard footsteps approaching quickly. Thanks to my nature, I had three highly developed senses: hearing, smell, and sight, especially at night. The footsteps were getting closer, but I wasn't worried. I was near the window; no one was going to bump into me, and the classroom wasn't far. I still had plenty of time. But I didn't know how right I was. The person running down the hallway bumped into me, and I fell to the floor with a low groan of pain. The young boy apologized immediately, gathered his things, and offered me his hand to help me up. While I was still on the ground, I mumbled in Japanese.

"窓から何かが見えていたんだよね?
I was seeing things from the window, weren't I?"

I accepted his offer of help anyway, trying to hide my annoyance. I told him in my deep, drawling voice.

"It's not serious, but in the future, don't run in the hallways..."

As I let go of his hand, having regained my footing, I felt a slight tingling of pain in my scar, on my face and also on my back. When the werewolf attacked us, I was injured in several places. My face, arm, and thigh were bitten and scratched, and my back had several visible scratches. I also had two large scars on my stomach, from my first full moons. Anyway, now it was the one on my back that was hurting. I didn't know why; I had fallen on my bottom, not my back. I groaned in pain; all these scars were really no fun. Because of them, I no longer wear certain outfits because I absolutely don't want to show them. Unfortunately, the Hogwarts uniform consists of skirts and a long robe over them. So I wear my skirt in a way that my scar is never visible, and then I put my robe over it. I hoped that the young boy hadn't seen my scars when I fell.
