@Breana Oliveire
Thomas' expression darkened further as Breana laughed mockingly in his face. Regardless of the reason for the sudden display of derision, his pride was stung. Already upset before it all, it wasn't easy to resist the second wave of indignation that crossed his consciousness. It bubbled in his chest and threatened to halt his breathing. It had been a long time since Tommy had felt so upset. Maybe it was the crowd of people surrounding the pair, or maybe it was the threat of detention, or maybe it was Breana's overly amused tone, but it stirred something in the boy he didn't entirely know what to do with. Was it hot in the corridors, or was his face just flushed?
Still, the boy remained silent. Breana's words passed over him quickly, and seemingly for once throughout the exchange, he listened to every word. Thomas' eyes narrowed as she continued; he didn't understand people, he didn't understand why people got so upset over things he did. The boy glared daggers right back into his peer's gaze, meeting hers without difficulty. However, his body language relaxed for a moment as she exhaled, it seemed that Thomas had weathered the worst of it. He was barely able to bite back his scathing retort, thinking that it might've been the mature thing to do. The crimson still remained in his features, an indication that his heart rate still hadn't slowed.
The mortification on his face dropped, his glare sharpening on Breana with a fury that hadn't been seen in quite some time. It paled in comparison to his anger before. The boy struggled to acquire his wand, his precarious footing and constant dancing made the action difficult. Once retrieved, he carefully bit back the scathing retort he was about to say, keeping his intonation precise as he cast his rebuttal. Tommy had to focus on the spell, not on his feelings.
"STÉ-lee-us!" he shouted, his wand swinging down and outward towards Breana. Thomas' footing was unsteady for a moment, but his wand swing was true.

As the spell struck, Thomas felt himself jolt back a bit. He'd certainly been taken by surprise, having expected Breana to back down, and now his legs spasmed uncontrollably. To the untrained observer, Tommy might've been doing some sort of jaunty dance, but the pained expression on his face was an indication that such a jive was far from voluntary. If he'd been red in the face before, he was practically a tomato at this stage, embarrassment clear as day. The boy was humiliated, in front of an audience no less. It was all he could do to keep his pride intact as a few of the onlookers let out a laugh."Tarantallegra!"

As Breana struck Thomas with the classic dancing spell, she watched with a mischievous grin as it slowly took effect. It started with a few taps on his feet, then slowly the boy started doing a classic little jig. It may be a simple little spell but it did give the boy a big blow to his ego. The little Ravenclaw let out a hearty and loud laugh, which in turn made the others observing the scene join in on humiliating the lad, the roars of their laughs echoing through the corridors. It was cathartic for her, finally releasing the anger that she had all cooped up in that tiny body of hers. She clutched unto her stomach, practically in tears as she continued relishing in the success of her spell. Unfortunately, it took her a while to realize that the boy regained some footing and shot her with a spell of his own.Rolling for Evasion

She wasn't quick enough to dodge the blow, and with a quick hit Breana was blasted by the spell. She staggered, tense as she waited for the spell to take effect. For a moment, she thought that she was in the clear. Breana stood proudly, thinking that the boy messed up the spell in one way or another. Then, she sneezed. And another. And another. She quickly put two and two together that Thomas threw her with a sneezing hex.
Her sneezes were like squeaks of a mouse, or yips of a chihuahua. Practically the least threatening thing one would hear. She looked around, seeing some students starting to mimic the sounds of her sneeze, mocking and laughing at her instead. Her eyes narrowed back at Thomas, still sneezing. What else can she do, she wondered. Her spell stash is a bit bare, but maybe...
With a wave of her wand, Breana prayed to Merlin that her idea would work. She waited to see if her sneezes have a pattern. Slowly but surely, she figured it out. Every two sneezes, she'd have a pause long enough for her to utter the spell. With that in mind, she waited for the opportune moment, and "Verdimillious!" She cried, hoping that the green sparks will blind the lad long enough for her to hit him with a second spell.
Action: Attempting to cast Verdimillious at Thomas.

Craziness. Of course, it would have to be craziness. Could Jack expect anything less from this dang school? How could anybody not expect a ton of underage, hormone infested children and teenagers not to freak out at some point and throw a spell or two? Only an idiot would believe that things could go well for one thing. However, Murphy's law is a real petty thing. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Jack was having a rather unpleasant day. Consequently, Jack was in a rather unpleasant mood. An unforgiving mood. While walking out of his charms class, the young prefect had to stop. A small crowd was starting to form around two... bookish looking students. Ravenclaws. How odd? The shouted words of "Tarantallegra!" and "STÉ-lee-us!" and "Verdimillious!" Following the final spell, Jack could only see a flash of green light explode into the hallway. Damn it all. Time to start being a prefect, Jack supposed.
As soon as the boy blinked away the bright flash from his eyes, Jack began storming forward towards the epicenter of the semi-crowded group. The boy wore a circular button on his Hufflepuff robes, and in a swirling vortex, the pin sprouted words in its center. It read, 'Ohhh, You done messed up.' Oh, the fun of owning a vicious badge. Pulling his new badge from his robes, Jack pushed his way towards the two. " Ey! What are you two idiots doing! Stop this stupidness! Jack was much better with actions than words. Stepping forward, the boy took hold of the girl's(Breana) wand arm, forcing it to point directly at the floor. With his other hand, Jack shoved the prefect shield directly into her face. Jack couldn't think of anything else to do, but he felt it would get the point across. "For Ravenclaws, you two are doing something incredibly dumb." He put on his best scowl, which was further pressed on by his frustrations from class. Turning to the boy, "Sit down! Before I make you." Jack nearly shouted. The thin veil of authority in his voice was showing, but the annoyance, which was bordering on anger, started to melt the facade. Jack probably wasn't the best one to deal with this situation, but by golly, he was the one that had to.

A wicked grin of his own appeared on Thomas' face as Breana started sneezing uncontrollably. It was one of his favorite hexes, and he believed it to share many qualities with himself. Most notably: both he and the spell were great at serving the purpose of a mild inconvenience. Sure, it wouldn't greatly impede Breana's ability to cast another spell, something he would soon find out. Despite the embarrassment that had been awash his features previously, he couldn't help but feel satisfied that he was dishing out a bit of karma.

Green sparks covered his vision, eliciting a startled "AH!" to escape his lips before he was suddenly unable to see. It wasn't the manliest reaction to being blinded, sure, but Thomas was taken by surprise after all. Once again he felt anger begin to bubble in his chest, although not half as potent as the rage he felt when he was so embarrassed prior. Just as he raised his wand to cast a spell, however, he paused as a new voice rang out."Verdimillious!"
"And who are you to say what's stupid and what's not?" Thomas retorted, still wiping his eyes as he hadn't seen Jack's Prefect badge just yet. In fact, the only impression of the boy that he'd gotten so far was that he was loud and shouty, and apparently was the utmost authority on idiocy. Well, Tommy was about to show him what it meant to be stupid: namely, intervening in business that did not concern themselves."Ey! What are you two idiots doing! Stop this stupidness!"
"Back off," Thomas threatened, still blinking the spots out of his view. It was clear that the boy was angered by this stranger's intervention, though when his vision cleared his facial expression dropped significantly. He opened his mouth as if to say something, paused for an absurdly long amount of time as he collected his thoughts, and responded, quietly, "Oh, um... Hi..." The young wizard was dumbfounded; Thomas hadn't been expecting to elicit the authority of a Prefect with the two's impromptu duel. At least it wasn't a professor... Right?"Sit down! Before I make you."

A malicious grin curled up on Breana's face as the Green Sparks spell worked its charm. With a cracked yelp, the boy was easily blinded by the sparkling light. For a moment, the little Ravenclaw remembered her mother, and how she would tell Breana of her glory days as a Slytherin. How she would always try to fend for herself, even against her own house. Maybe there is some of that cunning blood coursing through her veins. That feeling was fun while it lasted, but a loud shout echoed through the crowd, breaking away Breana's victory high and grounded her back into reality.
Before she could react, a random boy quickly stopped her from further spell casting, almost pinning down her arm. "Wh-- OW! Hey!!" She was about to go off on the boy interrupting the duel when she noticed the infamous Prefect badge practically inches from her face. "Oh, for fudge sake..." She thought. First the fight now she'll get trouble in it. Well, at least this month's letter to her parents won't be a boring one. Then she felt her nose get itchy. Oh no, the spell hasn't fully worn out yet. Breana tried to hold it in, but it only made it worse as she let out a loud booming "ACHOO!" covering the previously prefect badge with her own snot.
Breana's face was drained of color as she saw the mucus-covered badge. She looked up at the prefect with a sheepish look, chuckling nervously. "H-hehe... whoops." Well, that's one way to make a first impression.

Snot. Snot is the most disgusting thing that could have been thrown all over his badge. A sudden ghostly and solemn overcame the prefect. Anybody who has strict parents knows that silent anger is the worst type of anger. A slight twitch out of the edge of his right eye was the only tell that the lad hadn't gone comatose. Jack was going to make them dig their own graves. "Detention. You two have detention." The grip on Breana's wrist tightened as he began to drag the girl towards her dueling partner. As he walked, the boy calmly wiped the snot off on the Ravenclaw's school robes. He was not having any of this chaos.
"We are going to have a great time in your detention." His voice was devoid of any shouting, but in its stead, calm and seething cold anger. The sudden shift from irrational anger to cold ire was a quick one. Still not releasing the girl's wrist, He dragged her along behind him as he took hold of Thomas by the back of his collar. Jack had luckily been too preoccupied actually to respond to Thomas's jeers. However, thankfully the Ravenclaw's astute nature allowed to figure out quite quickly that Jack wasn't one to be messed around with. He had already decided the perfect punishment for the pair. "Aren't you two excited?" The prefect held a look in his eyes that might have made it seem that he was most likely missing a marble or two.Jack exits thread with the two Ravenclaws (Unless otherwise stopped)

In spite of the utmost seriousness of the atmosphere, Thomas was unable to stifle the laugh that burst out when Breana sneezed on the Prefect badge being oh so proudly displayed. He had never been the best with timing his reactions after all, and authority figures getting put into positively awkward positions was something he found rather amusing. Seeing Jack's reaction only made him want to double over, but he managed to silence himself after a cackle or two escaped his lips. In his head, Tommy lectured himself about the gravity of the situation, but a snicker or two still managed to sneak out. The Ravenclaw boy found Jack's reaction to be positively hysterical, the peak of comedy in fact, even despite his clear authority over the two.
Face falling at the mention of detention, Thomas opened his mouth to retort something before snapping it shut. His instinct was to reply snarkily, but his better judgment was slowly regaining control over his responses as his anger towards Breana died down. As the Prefect grabbed his collar, he let out a rather hurried, "Hey, don't I have rights or somethin'?! Aren't you meant to read me them, like in all the cop shows?!" Offhandedly, he wondered if he was entitled to a lawyer in such a scenario, given the excessive force used to force him into compliance.
Looking into Jack's gaze defiantly, Thomas didn't waver, even in spite of the crazed look in the Prefect's eyes. He had grown considerably since his first arrival at Hogwarts, and now the boy would be hard-pressed to back down after being confronted by authority. Still, the boy stopped resisting, and he allowed himself to be dragged to whatever detention the Prefect had in mind.
