Marigold had always liked the scent resembling damp earthen ground and herbs like the ones settled in the walls of the Potions classroom. It was a... curious sort of class, to say the least. The sight of shelves filled with vials containing different kind of liquids among other ingredients and equipment, it almost felt like she was attending a cooking class... but less edible foods and more of an indescribable drinks. Yet it isn't as easy as cooking does. It demands patience and precision. The timing of adding ingredients and stirring should be observed completely because one mistake can either make the potion work or get turned into something that is definitely not what it should be over the flame.

And if she's gonna be honest, it was a vibe that she likes most.

There's just something soothing and comforting when one get rewarded due to careful hand than reckless ones. And despite second-guessing whether she was doing things wrong or right, she just continued until the class ended.

The hall of the dungeons was immediately filled with sea of students as she quietly followed the flow upstairs, searching her satchel for her tucked schedule that she still hadn't had the liberty of memorizing. From the murky vibe of Potions... her next, and last class for the day is Astronomy... in Astronomy Tower.

Slow realization had her wincing almost immediately as she realized that she actually have to climb many floors up— ones that she doesn't even know about how it really works with all that changing... all just to go to her last class that happened to be in one of the castle's towers located high up from where she is. Pausing right in the middle of the corridor buzzing with energy and chattering not just from the other students, but also with those... unbelievably moving and talking paintings, she just let out a small sigh. She can clearly remember the climb up to the Ravenclaw's common room and it was a tiring walk, especially after a scrumptious dinner. And now, she had to repeat such actions... only this time, without a guide she's following around the moving staircases or maze-like hallways.

Her sigh deepened, but instead of complaining, she just fixed her satchel in her shoulder and decided to start walking, knowing that complaining won't help in bringing her up to her class. And she doesn't want to get late, too. Walking around a bustling corridor proved challenging, but she managed to at least slip off or side-step others... or so she thought.

She felt her breath hitch when she felt her shoulder hit a wall—or a person, rather. It wasn't intentional, yet she can't help but to get startled. The last thing she'd want to happen is for her to get into a trouble. "I-I'm sorry—" she paused when she recognized who it was almost immediately. "Wait. Y-You're... Taryn, right?"

Potions class, Taryn decided, was not one of her favourite subjects. She did not enjoy having the strange liquid of her potion splashing onto her face and robes, just because her flame was a little too high. Or the colour of her potion changing to pitch black, just because she had crushed her snake fangs into a rough powder, when it was actually supposed to be a fine powder. Yes, the recipe did specify it had to be fine powder, but did it really have to affect the potion that much?
All in all, the lesson left Taryn feeling disgruntled and dissatisfied. She helped clean up the workstation with a scowl on her face, and as soon as they were allowed to leave, she heaved her satchel over her shoulder and rushed out of the classroom.
She stamped down the corridor, ready to return to the Hufflepuff common room and head straight to bed. Then she stopped dead in her tracks.
She just remembered. She still had another subject today. Astrology, or Astronomy, or whatever. She rummaged through her satchel for her schedule.
Just as she fished it out from underneath her schoolbooks—all crumpled now—someone bumped into her shoulder, hard.
Taryn was prepared to snap angrily at the other person—even though it had just as much been her fault for standing still in the middle of the corridor—when she recognised the girl.

‘Marigold!’ she said, her irritation disappearing into thin air.
She sincerely hoped she hadn't looked too grumpy when she turned to face Marigold just now. She fumbled with her schedule, trying to straighten the parchment.

‘Do you have any lessons left for today?’ she asked. ‘I have Astronomy… I think?’ She checked her schedule. ‘Yes, in the Astronomy Tower. What about you?’ She looked back up at Marigold. ‘Perhaps we could walk together? I haven't been in the towers yet.’
