Image compression is too high
Hi,
In pretty much every background there is very noticeable blockiness in the image because the webp image compression is set very high. On some it is more noticeable than others. The same goes for uploaded images and avatars, the images get absolutely crushed by the compression. Surfaces get completely smoothed out and where colors should be even, you can see blocks and blobs and smears, like a bad mpeg compression.
I understand that saving disk space and network transfer speeds are a legitimate concern, but it feels like right now the balance is skewed toward heavy compression.
I am on a 2560x1440 screen so these things may be more noticeable to me due to the background images being larger, but still...
In general it might actually be better to use avif rather than webp, but that's another topic.
