It had been five month. Five weird months for Cash. When the new school year rolled in at the beginning of September, it felt surreal to have the green eyes back at Hogwarts again. They had been away from the magical Scottish Highland castle for a year due to their mental health issues. Their mother had suggested Cash be homeschooled and finish their last year of education from the comfort of the Ironwoods Manorin Oxford.

But the Slytherins refused what their mother requested from them. Cash told their mother that Cash missed the feeling of being surrounded by friends. Missed the feeling of being near or stepping into the Quidditch Pitch again. Their mother had looked at them warily. A look of concern, which was rarely shown on their mother's face, was plainly etched on the matriarch figure's face that day.

After a lot of coaxing and reassuring from the former Prefect of Slytherin toward their mother, with a heavy sigh, their mother nodded her head and said, 'take it easy on yourself, okay, dear? in Spanish. The sixth year nodded their head with a small gratitude smile on their lips.

And so, when the tradition of the Great Feast in the Great Hall to welcome the new batch of First year, Cash opted to sit at the end of the Slytherin table near the big wooden door of the Great Hall. Cash let out a sigh. It was supposed to be this year, Cash graduate with tier peers. But they are being held back for a year.

Their green eyes scanned the room and spotted their once-closed friend, Opeila Winters, and their lovable frienemies, Hanako Tone. They didn't interact with or wave to their fellow Slytherins. Cash just mind their own business. Like they usually do. But it was five months ago. Now, Cash was seated on one of those comfy armchairs in the Small Hall.

The crackling sound of the Small Hall's fireplace softly filled the room. On their lap, Cash's beloved dark blue acoustic electric guitar rested. Aero, the Emerald Gazer snake, curled lazily around their ankles. Bind Cash's feet together, but not too constrictively. Just enough pressure without hurting his master.

"This feels weird, you know. Being back here again,"Cash spoke lowly to the snake in Parsel. Aero lifted his body a bit and looked at Cash with his yellow eyes and nodded his head in agreement. "I'm supposed to graduate with them, you know?"They continued. Aero blinked his eyes and looked at Cash intently. As if the Emerald Gazer listened to them with rapt attention. A soft sigh escaped from their lips.

The soft roaring of the fireplace still filled the room as Cash plucked their guitarstrings singing a soft Spanish pop ballad that they once heard when Cash picked up cups of coffee for their mother and themselves from the local coffee shop in downtown Oxford.

OOC Note
Just because Cash has a snake as a pet, does not mean you could assume that they are Parsel unless Cash told you. The only ones that know Cash is indeed a Parsel are A.S.P kids.
