Lily found herself once again hanging out in the Dueling club for yet another duel. At this point, she should just pack a mattress, some food, and a pillow, and move in here. Since most of her time was spent right here. Lily settled herself in a chair and cast her eye over the amount of students in here. Today she was moderating a four person duel, which was the third ever for her, but she was more then up to the challenge. On one team was a second year Slytherin, who was also a Half Giant. Remy Break. Lily had never interacted with him before.. His teammate was a fourth year Gryffindor that Lily was unsure if she had ever seen before. Siobhan McCarty. Going against them were two other second year Ravenclaws, Natasha Jones and Josh Ericson. Both teams had a total of 1200 Hp and were pretty close to stats, so all in all Lily could happily say they were pretty evenly matched. Lily settled in her seat and called out to the competitors. "No cheating, be nice to each other, and may the best team win!" And with that Lily took out her popcorn and a pumpkin juice and waited for the proverbial fireworks to light up the stage, almost literally.

Remy entered the duelling club and grumbled. He was practically FORCED to show up! By no one in particular, he innately wanted to pummel any and all of his opponents, even the moderator, but it was the name of the game to stand there and take the brunt of the assaulting attacks. Oh, Remy was so going down. Everyone in this school hated him.
Well good. He hated them too. Disgusting little dwarves. He cracked his knuckles until he felt like they could crack like fiery firecrackers on the fourth of July.
Remy stared at the loser who uttered the one word he understood, 'cheating'. Remy didn't cheat. Remy did what was right. Remy gave people black eyes and took their fallen teeth out of generosity, never to get an advantage. That was a loser thing! This faux moderator was making things up! She was crazy!
With the dramatic misery of someone being forced to eat veggies, Remy yanked out his wand and pointed at Lily. "oo a his es stupid le steck." (Look at this stupid little stick) He growled.
He wanted to punch her. To give her the treatment of pumpkins with a trebuchet. Finally he huffed again before he took his rightful spot and prepared himself to cast whatever he was supposed to have learned in class. He admittedly slept, very loudly, during classes, so what he could cast was based on poor recollection.

________________________________________Once again Josh found himself in the duelling club, to take part in another duel. Obviously the thrill of the first one was not enough for him, and getting back in the game so quickly made this evident. The moderator, Lily Isobel McCoire, was a fifth year Gryffindor who Josh was already familiar with. She moderated the first ever duel he participated in, at least there was a familiar face as moderator. He was also familiar with his teammate, Natasha Jones. While he had never spoke to her before, she was in Ravenclaw like him and was in his year. She also happened to be on the Ravenclaw duelling team, something he was hoping would be an advantage for them. It was unfortunate that they were going against a fourth year Gryffindor, Siobhan McCarty who was on Gryffindor's duelling team. To summarise, she had more experience, knew more spells, and was older than him. Not an ideal situation, right? Well, as if the odds were against them already, they were also going against Remy Break, a Slytherin in his year. It wasn't hard to notice him, he was almost double Josh's height, and he looked like he could crush Josh with just one hand. "No cheating, be nice to each other, and may the best team win!" He raised his wand at his opponents, right now he wasn't liking his and Natasha's odds.

────────────────────────────────The amount of duels that she had gotten herself into this year was reaching a staggering number. But Siobhan greatly enjoyed getting to duel with others and learning about how they worked both on and off the piste. In all honesty, it provided her a bit of an advantage later on as, when she was forced to duel against them again- she would be able to know what they had cast and how successfully.
When you were blind, you weren't given much to see about your opponents. For Siobhan, if she could learn anything then it meant that she could gain somewhat of an understanding of her game. When she played games now, she never had the skills to have the win without help. But still despite her disability, her official duelling team had done quite well for themselves even if Siobhan had been the one taken out first. It wasn't ever fair but she understood why.
Break the weakest link in the chain, loosen the grip on the wolf.
Siobhan's partner for this duel, she learned, was loud. And big. Compared to where Siobhan stood at her own height, she could hear that hi voice came from higer above her head. His movements sounded loud too- the brandishing of his huffing breath sent a weird sensation down the back of Siobhan's neck. Nervousness she didn't feel before her duels now, as a fourth year.
This was weird. But she was here now.Mentioning:

WC: 303Natasha walked into the duelling room confidently, her eyes sweeping the room as she searched for her partner, opponents, and moderator. Spotting them on the far side of the room, she made her way over, taking her time to study each of them.
The moderator, Lily Isobel McCoire, was a fifth-year Gryffindor Natasha had seen around the Great Hall a few times. They had never spoken, but Lily always seemed friendly enough. Natasha didn't really know enough about the girl to form much more of an opinion on her.
Her partner, Josh Ericson, was someone she'd never really talked to either. They were both in the same year and house, though, so she'd seen him in the common room, Great Hall, and classes quite often. She didn't know whether he was good at duelling, but she knew he had duelled before, so at least he wouldn't be going into this completely blind.
The first of her opponents was difficult to miss. At seven feet tall and part giant, Remy Break towered over everyone in the room. At first glance, he seemed like the sort who relied more on strength than strategy. Still, Natasha reminded herself not to underestimate him. He looked distinctly unhappy to be there, though, and she couldn't help wondering why.
Finally, there was Siobhan McCarty. She was a blind fourth-year Gryffindor who had been on the duelling team for almost a year. Unlike the rest of them, she had a good amount of experience on her side, and Natasha had no doubt that she would be the tougher opponent. Whatever advantages Natasha and Josh might have, she wasn't going to underestimate Siobhan.
Natasha got into her stance as Lily spoke the words that would kickstart the duel.
"No cheating, be nice to each other, and may the best team win!"

The first round was very interesting and had Lily on the edge of her seat. Remy had body blocked Sio but had failed in his accuracy. He seemed to be blocking only her arm so far. Because Josh’s spell hit Sio perfectly! An Incendio Duo! So now Siobhan was on fire! And most likely pissed. Natasha tried to cast Petrificus Totalus at Sio but she didn’t manage the spell. Somehow it just…fizzled out. But in that time frame if Natasha trying to cast something, Siobhan shot off her own spell at her. Another Incendio Duo! Natasha was surely concentrating on her spell work cause she didn’t evade the spell to well. Now she was on fire! Both women were on fire while both guys had no spells cast at them. Lily kept her eyes on the half giant to see if maybe he would cast a spell next round. You never know. But personally Lily hoped he kept trying to body block Sio. It was truly fun to watch the giant…fail for lack of better word. Though she felt sorry for Siobhan having to get hit by spells. That was never fun at all. Especially if it was a fire spell.

________________________________________Josh managed to get through the first round without any injuries, in fact he wasn't even targeted much to his relief. He successfully managed to cast Incendio Duo, which hit his target precisely. Siobhan caught aflame and he felt very proud of his aim. Still, he couldn't help but feel some remorse. After all he was still very new to duelling, he wasn't accustomed to harming people, so naturally his conscious was still adapting to him participating in duels. Natasha tried to cast Petrificus Totalus at her target, but ultimately the spell did not work. At least we're not doing too bad, he thought to himself. Honestly speaking, his opponents intimidated him so hitting one of them with a spell immensely boosted his morale. Unfortunately they were not completely off the hook. Natasha was hit with Incendio Duo as well, and she immediately caught aflame. It was moments like this that reminded Josh that although duelling was his favorite sport, the rounds could be brutal. It only made him dread what his opponents planned to do to to them in the future rounds. His spirit was not completely defeated though, he did well this round, he would do even better the next. Hopefully...

WC: 240"Petrificus totalus," Natasha yelled, aiming at Siobhan. She was hoping the more experienced of their two opponents would be taken down first, which would make it easier for her and Josh to win.
Apparently, Josh had been thinking on similar lines, as he directed his Incendio Duo towards Siobhan as well.
Natasha groaned as her spell missed Siobhan by an inch, but cheered inwardly as the older girl caught aflame, courtesy of Josh, obviously. Unfortunately, her celebration was cut short as she, too, was hit by an Incendio Duo.
Wincing with surprise at the sudden heat and burning sensation, Natasha staggered, flailing slightly as she balanced herself.
Cursing inwardly at herself for getting distracted, she schooled her expression before turning to look at her opponents as if she had not a care in the world.
"I think I pull off the 'on fire' look better, don't you think?" she asked, winking towards Josh
Someone who knew Natasha better would realize that she was simply masking the pain, but no one in this group knew her well enough for that.
"Remy," she called, smirking up at the giant, "planning on casting any spells?"
Not wanting to seem too rude, even though she personally thought that trash talk was simply NECESSARY for dueling, she smiled up at the giant, just a tad unconvincingly.
Then, in a flash, she righted her stance, mentally going through the wand movement, and cast her next spell.

────────────────────────────────The sting of fire burst against her arm as someone’s spell hit her arm. She hissed loudly as she tried to pat it out with her other hand. At this rate she was going to lose all her school robes and have to go to classes without that piece of her uniform. It would only land her in detention if they kept getting destroyed but she didn’t possess any extra funds to replace them. Thank the stars she knew how to mend things magically now, but even so- it was still quite the inconvenience.
Remy- Sio’s partner for this activity- had tried to block her but to no avail as her arm had caught on fire. While the flames burned the skin, she winced as she held it away from her. Instinct directed she pull it close to nurse the wound but the fire hadn’t completely quelled itself and the last thing she needed was her hair falling victim to the spell as well.
Never the mind- she just needed to keep up with the others. Everything would be fine. She took a step back to regroup herself as the burn began to itch.Mentioning:

Remy lunged! Remy the man!
Remy missed. Remy not the man.
Remy missed. Remy not the man.
He assumed it was a great idea to jump in front of Siobhan to take the brunt of the pain from her, so that Remy could go...
R E M Y SMASHHHHH!
And pick them up by their ankles and send them colliding with the floor like a pillow suffering from a pillow fight.
He had thrown himself out in front of her like a living wall, with his arms out and shoulders squared. Turns out, he was way off. Perhaps, since he was a super mega giant, he couldn't accurately tell the location of dwarves, or maybe he was just so delusionally tall that they shot through his legs and he truly did stand guard in front of Siobhan.
Whatever the case may be, he didn't defend her. Not as well as his 0 wisdom self would've expected. Actually, if Siobhan wasn't on fire, he would've assumed that he did a great job taking the brunt of it.
Remy pointed at the blind dwarf's arm that was served enflambe. "Remy block arm. Arm safe." He shot a dirty look at Natasha.
If truth be told, he couldn't even remember what he said ten seconds ago, why were they expecting him to cast a spell? How did those go anyways? Flippidgitiyirino or something like that for the snail sneezing repairing charm?
