Draven had worn a path into the ground. He'd paced back and forth until the little patches of grass growing around the fire had flattened out. His anxiety was warranted, for once. August 1st had arrived far quicker than he'd anticipated. He'd found himself scrambling to make preparations, buying things at the last minute. He couldn't afford much- a couple new bedsheets, the odd kitchen utensil. Food- enough food for four people (he hoped) for at least a week.

Draven checked his watch. 0600.

Arranging the furniture had been an adventure. Egged on by a spider (whose cheering could have been a bit more genuine), Draven had spent the afternoon pushing and pulling, setting up the two bedrooms. He wasn't proud of the boneless collapse that had come afterward.

But that was then, and this was now. And 'now' consisted of Draven looking anxiously up at the sky. The decision had been impulsive, the result of an odd feeling of dread welling up in his chest. He didn't like the idea of being alone all summer- not for a fourth year in a row.

Draven checked his watch. 0603.

Inviting Ari was easy. The boy wasn't hard to find if you knew where to look. He'd caught him at a bad time- on his way into the potions classroom, with the professor looming beside the door. Draven had followed Ari to his seat, giving a rushed explanation. Nods were exchanged. The other boy received a torn piece of parchment with an address hastily scrawled atop. He was an easy man to rope into plans. Draven had been in and out within a minute.

With Ara and Mahl, it had gone a bit differently. Deliberate planning had taken place, with a nicely written card and a carefully worded speech. He'd approached her on his last day as a duellist, after the announcement had been made. Bring anyone you'd like, he'd told her. He had an idea of who she'd invite.

He'd been right. He tried not to gloat too much internally.

Draven checked his watch. 0611.

He wasn't sure how the guests would arrive or when. August 1st, he'd said. A kilometer north of Hogsmeade, and 170 meters to the right side of the road. Which was enough directions to get them to his campsite, but it left him wandering around all day, awaiting any sign of life. He'd gone and pissed off Deimos with his relentless movement. But there was nothing left to clean. Nothing left to prepare. Everything was lined up and organized, as it should have been.

A large circle of stones with a fresh pile of wood was arranged on the side of the camp. Around it, cheap plastic lawn chairs formed a wobbly half-moon. The majesto tent was not much further off, resting underneath a large oak tree. Mint green cloth stood out against fluffy foliage, its pastel flaps moving about in the wind. A babbling creek whispered playfully a little ways away, competing for attention with early songbirds and jackalopes. Life thrummed and buzzed all around him. The forest was a living thing, enveloping the camp, promising safety and peace.

Draven checked his watch and groaned. 0613.

Took her quite a while to haul all her things to a whole kilometer away from Hogsmeade. A simple levitation charm worked though it only worked for one of her many trunks. Good thing Ara wasn't built like a stick twink and can actually haul her things with little strain—unlike some duelists. Not that she arrived late—she woke up early to get her things out of the castle by 5:30—but she was right at the dot, arriving at the campsite at 6:15.

Draven was a weird boy that was too tall though was a pleasant acquaintance-bordering-friend of Ara's. He was cool enough to talk to and hang out with after a certain duel win in the dorms along with a certain underclassman. Pity that both of the boys decided to depart from the team. Perhaps they were too attached to each other to duel without the other. Ara can never be too sure of course. She didn't give them a speech of anything about it, not like she was their mother to force them to stay. Though a part of her wanted more older years on the team especially regarding the fact that there was only them and Mahlioz left as the eldest as the two old men have moved on to the afterlife (adulthood).

Speaking of Mahlioz, they were going to be camping with them as well.

Of course, Ara couldn't have a peaceful clear early summer morning to herself for the devil himself—Minho—was being an pompus prick as usual. He was almost the sole reason why she took a bit too long to haul her stuff out of the Hoggy's castle in the first place. The noodle of fur kept on whining in his cage so of course the girl let him out for a bit. Didn't last for long though. Minho quickly proved to be incompetent at taking care of his own life when he raced towards the nearest body of water. Luckily, Ara caught up to him in time and put him back but GADDAM.

Back on course, the viper wore a black leather vest by itself as a top. It wasn't particularly hot (it was the Scottish Highlands, never hot) but it was very sunny these days. She paired the black leather with some more black leather in her belt and wrist cuffs along with a muggle military pattern with her pants. Shoes were her regular platforms to feel taller. Minho on the other hand wore his favorite frog bonnet to show off to the very jealous humans. You got that king.

Ara got to the campsite with all her things eventually. She saw Draven and waved. "Long time no see, dear Princess Mirador." A grin was on her face at the thought of the nickname.

Despite Draven not being on the site anymore, I still am posting for the reason that this is what Ara is gonna be up for the the entire summer and I'd want to make it canon on site and not just in people's heads (namely mine).
