It was nighttime; nighttime is usually when I can focus the most. The sunlight... gosh, did I hate the sun. It burnt my skin until I couldn't recognize it at one point. I should stop thinking about that now. I push the door of the astronomy classroom, hoping there is an empty place and a bean bag all by myself. Alas, one near a window, perfect. 'I really hope no one, absolutely no one, sits with me.' The teacher, Professor McCorie, was welcoming all the students. A very "curious" Hufflepuff was questioning the teacher, but of course I didn't care; I didn't want to care. I looked outside the window. The scene was... peaceful. The stars reminded me of who I am... A Blair. I should be proud of that, but it seems like a title rather than something of me; that's not me; 'I must not say that' I finally say, coming back to my senses. I slightly lean down, waiting for others to come, and guess what? I came 15 minutes early, apparently; people don't like coming early I made sure that didn't get the most of me
Five minutes later, the door opened; it was a Hufflepuff. He was pretty tall and had short black hair. I looked closer, trying to recognize who it was. It was Morgan, Morgan Faughn. 'Not the muggleborn'

"Per Astra Veritas"
For once since classes had begun, the dark-haired Hufflepuff was pretty sure that he was finally going to at least be somewhat early or at least on time for one of his classes. The castle had constantly felt like a maze to him and he had been doing his best to make a mental map of where all his classes where which he believed would eventually help him but he hadn't been doing great thus far. Astronomy, however, was in the evening, which meant that the halls weren't quite as chaotic as usual which meant he could actually find the Astronomy tower and classroom.
Trying to fix his dark hair that always found itself rather askew whenever he rushed to his classes, he opened the door to the classroom. He actually quite liked the Astronomy classroom, the patterns, cushions, and various knick-knacks that made the room seem busy but cozy that almost reminded him of his sisters' room that was always decorated with Mari's various projects.
Looking around, he was hoping there was still a seat near a window open as, while he was a little early, a few other students had already found seats around. His green eyes scanning the room he had the sudden realization that there was one person looking directly at him, a person who happened to be sitting by one of the windows. A girl, another Hufflepuff that he knew was another first year like him. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he tried to remember her name, wracking his brain he was pretty her name was Mavis... something, he had never been great at remembering names. It wasn't that she didn't stand out, of course, she definitely had a presence but Morgan just had a tendency to keep his head down and focus on his classes and whatever he was reading that day so, for better or worse, he didn't always remember his classmates.
Still not entirely sure why she would be looking at him, he found himself walking towards her. Perhaps she had a question, perhaps he had somehow offended her, he really wasn't sure and couldn't tell and the closer he got the more he began to slightly worry that he was about to make a fool of himself but it was too late now as he was pretty much right in front of her now.
"Hello, um... Mavis, right? Is there something you needed," he asked, titling his head ever so slightly as he looked at the girl in front of him. His voice was it's usual kind of dull tone that possibly made him sound slightly more antagonistic than he would ever mean to be, just one of the unfortunate aspects of how he often came across to most people.

His eyebrows furrowed, and he was looking directly at me. Morgan Faughn. I don't really care about Muggleborns like him, but I put on an expedition trying to remember people's names of at least my least favorite house, Hufflepuff, so that's how I recognised him. I must have stared at him a lot cause he looked at me as if I personally assainated is cat or something. I focus on the people around me rather than classes. Let's say Morgan is the type of person who would focus on classes as if his life depended on it. Whenever I passed by him, he would just put his head down and leave, and it is not that I cared. Unlike him, I put my head way up and walk as if I own this place, and it is stupid, yet it makes me feel like myself.
He approached me, which was nothing like him "strange", and then did the head tilting thing, which highlighted his green eyes. He was nervous, I could tell, and after what felt like an eternity, he spoke, "Hello, um... Mavis, right? Is there something you needed?" he said. I looked at the door, trying to see who was coming, and I might have been staring a bit too long, and because of that, he thinks I need something from him? Ok... "Nothing that I knew," I say blankly. I'm pretty sure I sounded a bit mean there. To cover it up, "Are you gonna sit here or going to keep on standing? The class is starting." I said without even looking at him.

"Oh um, alright then. Sorry, I just wasn't sure why you were looking at me," he replied, adjusting his bag slightly on his shoulder. So he had misinterpreted, she probably really had just been looking over to see who was coming into the class and of course he had probably misinterpreted that. He supposed he should sit down, and he was already over here so he might as well sit in one of the nearby seats, even if he was really regretting walking over here.
"I'll uh... just sit here yep, right, sorry again" he mumbled slightly, moving to sit down in one of the cushioned seats nearby. Yeah, good social interaction there Faughn, definitely not failing at all to not sound awkward, he thought sarcastically to himself, sighing quietly as he began searching through his bag for his books and journal for class. There was at least one seat between them now and he somewhat hoped that someone else would come over and act as a sort of barrier but as more and more students began to file in, he had a sinking suspicion he wasn't going to be that lucky.
It wasn't exactly that he disliked Mavis, or even thought she was being rude as the very little he did know about her was that she was just always sort of blunt, and in this situation he wasn't even really sure she was necessarily being mean he had just misunderstood. He understood, he supposed, after all he knew he often came across as rather blunt or cold to people when he wasn't just failing at most social interactions. At this moment, he just felt awkward because he had directly initiated a social interaction when, he should have known better and should have just ignored it all and found a seat somewhere in the corner. Finally, he managed to find his journal with his class notes and carefully pulled it from his bag so he could go over some of his notes. He hoped maybe going through his notes would, at the very least, distract his mind for a moment.

He sat not so far away. He scrambled between his words;"Oh um, alright then. Sorry, I just wasn't sure why you were looking at me." "I'll uh... just sit here yep, right, sorry again" I should have figured he was trying to talk to me. I did something which would ruin my figure and make me look nothing like myself, "Hey, nice journal there." I take it from him, snatch it in the process, but still he needs to get quicker reflexes, right? And I look inside. Damn, the constellations were accurate. It reminded me of the huge journal back at home, the one dedicated to astronomy, and it also looked like a small copy of mine, which I always use in the common room. I give it back reluctantly, "I don't want to destroy a piece of astronomy even accidentally; it is my bloodline"
The more I think about it, the more I realize I had to look at Morgan. He seems like a nice guy. Besides, I have to prove my mother wrong. She thinks I can't make friends?? "Look at this mother" I say internally. I finally face Morgan, "Damn, this is hard" I finally got the courage and spoke "Hey, Morgan, my bad earlier. Do you need any help in Astronomy? I could tutor you." Woah, I have never said that to anyone ever, and I'm not even kidding. There are only 15 minutes left for the class to end now, and his reply is taking an eternity.

Morgan's Astronomy journal was ripped from his hands by Mavis, leaving the green-eyed boy slightly wide eyed and confused as he watched her look through the pages. He knew he should say something but he had been caught so off-guard at her sudden interest in his journal that his words weren't wording.
Eventually, Mavis did hand him back his journal and he took it back from her and closed it, setting it back in his bag so that she couldn't get it again. He was at least somewhat relieved she hadn't ripped out pages or messed it up somehow as he had had classmates in the past who would when they grabbed his notebooks from him, usually as a way to tease him for being a "class pet" simply just for taking a lot of notes and, perhaps being a bit too focused when it came to class.
The grey-eyed girl turned to look at him and the words that left her mouth once again confused him. "...What?," the word left Morgan's mouth almost instinctively, his eyebrows knitting together slightly in confusion, he really hadn't expected Mavis to ask if he needed help or ever offer to tutor him.
Composing himself and getting his thoughts together, he eventually continued, "I mean... it's fine, I don't know if I need a tutor really but um... I suppose if you wanted to maybe study together sometime... we could." He thought through his words carefully, still observing the girl in front of him, still trying to figure out why she had even offered to assist him. He didn't mean to be but he felt slightly skeptical of her, even if maybe he was hoping that she actually was just trying to be nice to him.
