Lily just couldn't sleep. She was now in her fifth year at Hogwarts and after everything that had happened over the summer, she really couldn't sleep. Like at all. So instead she decided to roam Hogwarts. She'd been roaming the halls so far for a week because she just couldn't get the sleep she needed. Especially concerned with worry about her family.
Soon, she found herself in the Duelling Club, which was a part of Hogwarts she'd been haunting quite a lot of recently. She wandered it, pulling her sweater around her further since there was a cold draft in the room. She liked being alone outside, it felt really nice. She heard a noise and she turned so fast it was amazing. Standing there was a small boy, she'd say a first year for sure. Which surprised her because the recent first years have listened to the rules. One being your supposed to stay in the common room at night. And ten o' clock at night was definitely past those hours. She raised an eyebrow at him and slowly walked towards the boy. "Who are you and why are you here? You should be in your common room?" She crossed her arms and waited for the answer, her hair falling over her shoulder.

─────Lucian was turning and tossing in his new bed. He was away for the first time and it seemed to get to him. He got up from laying down on the bed. He couldn't sleep any longer. And he thought there was no point in trying to pretend to sleep. He was awake as if it was morning. He knew he had classes in the morning and might get in trouble but he was determined to sneak out of the dorm room.
Without another thought, but quietly the young first year started to sneak out to the Duelling club. He didn't know what was calling him there but it seemed like a place the young boy ended up deciding to go. He made a small noise and turned to face a girl who was older than him. It was ten o'clock and if he was sneaking out wasn't the girl doing the same thing? He stood there, frozen with his wand in his hand. "Flipendo" He cast a spell on her without warning.
Lucian Casts Flipendo on Lily
Wisdom Roll: 17
17 > 9 → Success
Acc vs Eva
23 >15 → Hit
Damage: 100+5x15 = 175
Lily loses 175 HP.
The spell hit the girl. He smirked as he looked at her and said "I am Lucian. Sneaking out. Isn't that what you are doing?" He looked at her. He was not sure casting a spell at her was the right call or not.

Lily had turned around when she heard a noise, just to get hit by a Flipendo and thrown backwards. To say Lily was not happy was a bit of an understatement. Okay, scratch that. A lot of an understatement. Lily slowly got up, rubbing her elbows that she landed on and gave the young boy a death stare. She was debating whether to throw a spell of her own or give the boy a chance to run as far away as his little legs could carry him. Lily decided she'd try the latter first and if that didn't work, she would either A. throw a spell his way or 2. transform into her foxy form and show him just how sharp her claws could be. She slowly advances, her voice dropping to a low, menacing voice. "You just made a big mistake, Luci. I suggest you start running...or things may get a bit ugly." Lily's green eyes were narrowed, a fire burning in them if Lucian was truly brave enough to be that close to her. But if he was smart, he would be treating her like a momma bear, walking backwards slowly, before turning and fleeing. Though if Lily was honest, she knew the boy was a Gryffindor. Which means this was definitely not the last time she'll see him.

As scared as Lucian was of the girl he attacked. He was more scared now that he had thrown a spell at her. He looked at her and didn't deter from where he was standing. He was a Gryffindor and not a coward. So he was thinking of what to do next. The girl was scaring him, and he had his wand in his hand. A tool that was really useful for these times. He was looking at her as she slowly advances closer. Her voice dropping low and menacing. "Incendio" He cast the fire spell. He was not sure why he was casting spell after spell on her. When she had done absolutely nothing to initiate this.

"I am not the kind of person who runs away, Miss. I am a Gryffindor. I am not a coward." He said to her. He didn't care what was about to happen. He was sure as hell he wanted to stay there. "May I know your name?" He said. He was not sure if it was the right thing to do after casting two spells on her. He looked at her with determination. He was not going to move from the space he was standing or more like frozen in. He was staring at her.

Lily was truly, everlastingly pissed now. Not only did the boy not run away, he preceeded on setting her on fire. And Lily definitely did not deserve this! After all, she had just been minding her own business when she got thrown backwards, then placed on fire. With another glare at Lucian, while stamping her clothes out, Lily transformed to her animagus form, a fox with extra sharp claws and a nasty bite. She slowly walked around him, slowly, enough to have him wary and keeping his eyes on her. This wasn't her first time transforming as a fox, and she knew it definitely wasn't the last. She enjoyed feeling of the muscles rippling under her fur, or the way her tail flicks when she's studying someone. Like right now, she was studying Lucian like he was a piece of meat that looked delicious. Her lip curled to show her canine, and she pounced on the boy, making him fall backwards. Lily's claws came out as she presse her paws into his shoulder, and growled into his face, a growl that pretty much screamed her anger. If anyone would walk into this, they would see a medium sized fox towering over a young boy that looked to be a first year.

Interacting with: @Lily Isobel McCoire & @Lucian WrightDate: September, 2026— 22.00Words: 458────────────────────────Max was up late. He was usually an early riser, but since what happened during the summer and especially after returning to school he found it much harder to fall asleep. He could of course have made the responsible choice and tossed and turned in his bed until he passed out from exhaustion if not for pure boredom, but he felt much more like moving. He had found that after having been appointed prefect no one really questioned him anymore. No matter where he was or the time he found himself there he usually got away with it. He was not on patrol tonight, but as he walked the corridors he was drawn to the duelling club. Probably just a force of habit.
As he closed in though, he heard voices and paused. No one was really supposed to be here this late and the voices didn’t really sound like teachers. He kicked his feet into motion and swung open the door. He was confused by the sight that met him more than anything else. McCoire was on fire? Be blinked from her to the first year he couldn’t remember the name of and back again. A thought about helping to put out the flames began to form, but the fifth year seemed to have it well in hand.
What happened next led him from confused to baffled and shocked as Lily transformed and pounced on the boy. Granted she did circle him a bit first, but Max had more than enough with just comprehending the scene before him. He stood as if frozen for a moment before he rushed forwards. «HEY!» A bit of anger even entered his voice as he yelled for their attention. He didn’t wait for any of them to notice and acknowledge him. When he was close enough he grabbed the fox by the scruff of its neck and pulled it off before gesturing between them. «What the heck McCoire?! I get that first years are annoying and all, but maiming them is about two steps too far!» His voice remained loud, but filled with confusion more than anything else.
He turned on his heel to look over the first year. His name was definitely something to do with ‘Right’, but he didn’t much feel like saying that word aloud. Not really giving either of them much of a chance to talk he started another tirade. And you…» He had intended to ask why he was out of bed at this hour. Instead the situation suddenly seemed to click into place. He pointed a finger at Lily while continuing to stare Lucian down. «Did you set her on fire?» His tone changed. The confusion and upset replaced with anger spoken through gritted teeth.

Lucian had been scared to the point that he cast yet another spell on Lily who had done nothing to him. He watched as the older girl stamp out the fire that he had cast on her. He saw her turn into a Fox. Gosh! Now he was done for. No one knew where he was. Who would come to help him out in this case. He watched her closely as she circled around him. This terrified the young boy more. Before he could call out for help, she had pounced on him making him fall back. He felt her claws digging into his shoulders and he heard her growl. He screamed in pain and tears started flowing out of his eyes. He was more frightened now than he had been before. "Help" He said meekly.
He turned to look at an older boy who walked in and pulled her away from him. His shoulders had started to bleed. He was glad someone had come to his rescue. But this someone was also older. If he had learned anything from the whole experience it was not to throw spells on older students. He fell down on the ground and sobbed softly as the wound on his shoulders hurt him like hell.
He looked up at the older boy when he was addressed. "I have a name you know. Yes, I did." He said admitting what he had done. Not only had he harmed her for no reason but had been harmed by her for casting spells on her. "Save me from her. She dug her claws in my shoulders." He said.

Lily's sharp senses noticed Max join but she was too angry to get off the boy. Until Max pulls her off by her throat. She growled but transformed back to her human self. She crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at this guy she barely knew. Actually she didn't know him at all, but somehow he knew who she was. Well technically everyone had heard about the McCoire family, especially her brother Colin. She grimaced as Max reprimanded her, saying that maiming was a step too far. @"I wasn't going to main him! Just cause a few scars! And it was in self defense! I was minding my own business, when this idiot decided to throw the Knockback Jinx at me, then set me on fire!!"Lily blew off at Max, then glared in disgust at the boy sobbing on the floor. He was truly making her want to kill him, but she resisted. Until he mentioned that she had dug her claws into him. @"Puh lease. Be lucky it wasn't worse! You set me on fire!"The balls of this man. Not even man! Boy. She turned on her heel and stormed a little bit away but still close enough to cast a spell if she wanted to...which actually now that she thought of it...Lily raised her wand. @"Time for a taste of your own medicine."And with that she cast her own incendio.
