Hello darkness my old friend.
It was predictable but still frustrating to Cassius as he felt the blindfolding spell take effect once again. He was noticing a pattern at this point but could not fault his opponents for sticking with it. If the strategy worked, why change it? He would do the same. At least, he would if he could see anything. Regardless, this was a temporary setback. It was still early in the duel and they were not out of this yet. After all, they were Ravenclaws and the other houses wished they could be as cool and successful as the eagles.

• In Duelling: This bleeding effect is limited to 4 rounds. If hit by another dark spell in the meantime, the bleeding effect is replaced with the new one.
• On a critical success with a "dark" spell, a second target (only if defined by the caster before this has been rolled) can be targeted, if no secondary target is declared then nothing happens.
• -10% damage done with non-dark spells.

Man, even when things were looking okay, it's not fun when no one reacts to anything. Despite hitting his target, there was little satisfaction. Maybe Jack was feeling it too since he missed. Turns out even a standing, dazed bird - can still evade an incoming hit. " No need to feel the need to make things fair just cuz they aren't striking back twice in a row" he teases.
Mahl apparently was being a true Slytherin and taking advantage of the birds dazed stated, he let out a loud low whistle seeing the ventus split - and hitting both the birds. "Not bad at all. Share a little bit of spotlight with your seniors too Mahlioz don't take all the glory just yet". Gosh how he loooovveedd not having a headache n' feeling like he's 2 minutes away from hurling.
He turned to the ravens with a look of mock disappointment. " Aw.. c'mon you two can't be that butt hurt about the merlin thing are you? Everyone was thinking of it" he shrugs.

Of the spells that were fired off, the Windy Spell and the Blindfolding Spell managed to hit, but Jack's Knockback Jinx unfortunately missed. It seemed Edward managed to be a bit too quick for him, but at least Mahlioz managed to hit both Edward and Cassius with Ventus.
"Shut up," Jack answered Hanako playfully when his teammate said there was no need to make things fair just because the other team didn't seem to have tried to fight back for the last round or two. But, as Hanako pointed out, Mahlioz thankfully seemed to make up for her upperclassmens' shortcomings.
"Pretty quiet, aren't you birds," the redhead commented to Edward and Cassius, though he doubted either one of them would engage in his attempt at conversation. It was a shame; if they weren't going to put up much of a fight, the least they could do was talk. Say something. Then again, maybe he just enjoyed talking a bit too much as someone who had been known as 'Chatter Fox'. And, at least, the eagles hadn't thrown in the towel yet. That was the least Jack could ask for because it meant they were still keen on at least trying to win.

"Let's go!!" Mahlioz had to exclaim when her ventus split without her even meaning for it to do so and hit both of their opponents. Turns out all those spell spreads were beginning to really make a difference. She hoped her excitement wouldn't anger the ravens - they really seemed a little distracted, perhaps because the game was really not going in their favour. Mahlioz knew how that felt - she didn't want to make it any worse on them.
Hanako, on the other hand, felt no such restrictions. On top of that, his obscuro hit exactly where it needed to - Cassius, the biggest threat, was blindfolded. The fourth year beamed back at Hanako when he complimented them. "We've still got a couple rounds, you'll have moment. Maybe you'll even succeed at casting a confringo! I believe in you," they teased playfully. It would be a good way to go out with a bang, if anything. What would Ara say if she knew Mahlioz was going to miss the old man...
