The most anticipated ride

Odette was in the 9¾ peron with her parents…dressed in a black cashemere sweater and a black plaid skirt…she was wearing white flats with a black flower on top of them. Her hair in a tight braid, only a few strands loose in a neat way… she was hugging her mother for a last time, her mom rambling about stuff odette had been hearing for the past week:”don’t forget to write a letter every night and don’t try to handle anything yourself, I know your professors, if something happens I’ll be there in a blink of an eye. Don’t ever skip lessons, do you hear me odette?!”. Meanwhile his father was checking his watch every minute, late for work odette supposed…she gave her mom one last hug and his father an half hearted smile and walked towards the train. She hopped on the train, her luggage handled by the staff…she wiped her tears with her O.C. Embroidered handkerchief…going to Hogwarts was what she anticipated most all her life, yes…but leaving her family, her mother…she took a few deep breaths and collected herself… now, she needs to find a compartment… she searched a few compartments, all seemed occupied. She eventually found an empty one and plopped down on of the velvet seats, watching as the train moved smoothly in the more rural areas of London. She knew about Hogwarts, probably more than her peers, she thought. Most of her family was sorted into ravenclaw, except a few ones in Slytherin… if she had to be honest, she didn’t really care which house she got sorted into. Well, except hupplepuff… she didn’t hold a grudge or anything but, she just knew she wasn’t a hupplepuff. Nope definitely not…she eventually drifted off into a sleep, only woke up when the canteen lady knocked on the window of the compartment…she blushed and stood up, back straight…she bought a chocolate frog and some pumpkin juice…she wasn’t really a fan of sweets, she only bought the chocolate frog for its card and well-for some reason she didn’t want to refuse the canteen lady…Odette was both glad and a bit disappointed that no one joined her in the compartment. She wasn’t exactly a social butterfly but she wouldn’t say no to company either…for now, she wanted to think it was better this way, all alone with her thoughts…there would be so much time to find friends in Hogwarts after all, right? The roaming engine of the train stopped, they had arrived to Hogwarts…Odette stood up, once again back straight…she closed her eyes and exhaled, smiled as she opened the door of the compartment…
