Afternoon :Time
With one hand holding her book and the other supporting the silver mackerel tabby against her chest, Elara made her way across the grounds. Lumi shifted in her arms, ears twitching at every little sound around them. She seemed far more interested in the birds than in staying still. "You know, you could walk too," Elara said quietly, looking down at her. Lumi simply blinked at her. A small smile crossed Elara's face before she continued walking.

When they reached the lake, Elara took a moment to look around before choosing a spot beneath a tree. It was quiet enough for reading, but not so far away that it felt completely empty. She placed her book down first, then carefully let Lumi onto the grass. Her cat stretched lazily, looking much more awake than she had a few seconds ago. Elara watched as Lumi wandered in a slow circle around the tree. She paused to sniff at the grass, watched a dragonfly hover for a second, then became fascinated by a dry leaf rolling along the ground. Elara reached over to stroke the top of her head. "Stay close, alright?" Lumi answered with a soft meow that sounded almost like a promise.

After making sure her cat was comfortable, Elara finally opened her book. She had only planned to read for a little while, but that rarely happened. Once she became interested in a story, she tended to forget about everything else around her. The pages passed quietly. She didn't notice when Lumi stopped making small noises nearby. She didn't notice when her cat wandered a little further away. Not until she reached down without looking. Her fingers searched for soft fur. Instead, she touched the grass. Elara paused. Her eyes moved down to the empty space beside her. "Lumi?" No answer.

She looked around the tree, expecting to see a silver tail or a pair of curious eyes watching her. Nothing. Closing her book, Elara stood up and brushed a few bits of grass from her clothes. "Lumi?" she called again, slightly louder this time. Her cat liked exploring, but she usually came back when called. At least, she usually did. Elara walked a few steps away from where she had been sitting, checking behind the tree and around the nearby patches of grass. Still nothing. She frowned slightly, looking around the lakeside. Where did you go this time?

The Great Lake in late September was a massive W, only. It completely blocked the loud NPC energy buzzing in the Gryffindor common room. Bartholomew was just vibing max with the giant squid. Literally the perfect afternoon to escape all that unnecessary chosen-one drama, bro.

This skinny eleven-year-old fellow was sitting cross-legged on the warm grass, hunching over his acoustic guitar. He was casually strumming the strings, letting the rhythm mix with the lake water splashing. It was pure background music to settle the mind, honestly giving major main character energy without doing any extra overacting. Total W vibes only!

Pearl was proper vibing next to him. The spotted Egyptian Mau just chilled on his thigh, purring to the guitar like an absolute boss. Since reaching Hogwarts, this was their daily routine only. Total W energy, literally ignoring all that dark magic drama for pure peace!

Suddenly only, Pearl’s ears twitched like anything. She stared at the grass, and out trotted a silver tabby cat, having a crazy positive aura. This new cat wasn't even scared; she was totally checking out the wooden instrument and Pearl with major curiosity. Seeing this, Bartholomew instantly muted his guitar strings, trying not to kill the vibe or spook the furry visitor. After all, you cannot be acting sus when a new magical bestie drops in unannounced!

"Bro, whose cat are you only?" Bartholomew whispered. Pearl just trilled back, totally vibing. She wasn’t acting sus at all, staying maximum chill because the bond with her wizard owner was literally built different, I swear.

Before the silver tabby could pull a full-on sus stunt, Bartholomew caught a stressed voice on the breeze. "Lumi?"

He looked up and spotted a girl holding a book, searching around a tree. Figuring out her situation took literally zero effort. He gave Pearl a gentle nudge—who was completely vibing and not bothered at all—and called out to her.

"Hey!" Bartholomew waved lazily, keeping his voice soft to not spook the silver cat. "If you think your highly curious cat is lost, you are totally delulu! She is right here only, acting like the main character and just chilling with us."

The moment she heard the boy call out, Elara turned toward the voice. With her book tucked against her side, she didn't take long to spot the familiar silver mackerel tabby sitting a few feet away. "There you are." She let out a quiet sigh before walking over. So that was where Lumi had disappeared to. As she got closer, the reason became obvious. A guitar rested across the boy's lap, and Lumi was sitting nearby as if she'd decided that was the most interesting thing by the lake. Another cat stayed close beside him, watching everything with far more dignity than Lumi seemed capable of.

Elara stopped a short distance away. "Thank you," she said with a small smile. "I was starting to worry." Lumi looked over when she heard her name. For a second, Elara thought the cat might come back. Instead, Lumi wandered closer to the guitar again. "...Of course." She shook her head, trying not to laugh. "I'm sorry if she's been bothering you." Her cat circled around the guitar case, sniffed at one corner, then sat down again as though she'd been invited. "So much for staying close." There wasn't much point in picking her up now. Knowing Lumi, she'd probably wriggle free the first chance she got.

She shifted the book beneath one arm before crouching beside Lumi, resting a hand on her back. Lumi accepted the attention for all of three seconds before looking back at the guitar. That earned another quiet smile. "You've made a new friend already?" she murmured, watching Lumi for another second. Only then did she look back at him properly. He looked around her age. The guitar was still across his lap, while the spotted cat remained comfortably beside him, completely unbothered by Lumi's sudden appearance. "I don't think we've met before," Elara said. "I'm Elara." She gently scratched behind Lumi's ears. "And this curious little one is Lumi." For a moment, she watched the two cats sitting near each other. "I hope she didn't interrupt your afternoon too much."

Before Elara could even finish walking over, Pearl had already started the greeting. The spotted Egyptian Mau gave a soft sound, gently bumping her head against Lumi’s chin like she was officially welcoming her to an elite club. Bartholomew watched this with a lazy nod. Clearly, his cat was having way better diplomatic rizz than half the kids screaming in the Gryffindor common room. Total boss move!

"Oh, she was definitely not bothering us, bro," Bartholomew replied, offering a relaxed grin as he shifted his guitar to give the felines some extra room. "Honestly, your cat is having an immaculate taste in music. She walked up like a true connoisseur. Pearl here was just showing her how to ignore the loud, basic Muggle-level chaos happening around the castle grounds."

He uncrossed his legs a fraction, leaning back against the rough bark of the tree. The sunlight filtering through the autumn leaves hit the gold hardware of his acoustic guitar perfectly, giving the whole scene a majestic vibe without any forced overacting. It was literally giving pure magic.

"I am Bartholomew, by the way," he said, answering her introduction with a casual head tilt. "And this premium feline is Pearl. Please don't take tension about interrupting, I was just trying to survive the afternoon without completely losing my mind. You are more than welcome to stay and vibe here if your book isn't calling you too loudly, bro."

Afternoon :Time
Elara watched as the spotted Egyptian Mau greeted Lumi, her head tilting slightly when the two cats seemed to get along almost immediately. Lumi gave a quiet meow before rubbing her cheek against the other cat. "They seem to like each other." Her attention shifted back to Bartholomew when he introduced himself. She gave a small nod. "Bartholomew," she repeated quietly. "It's nice to meet you." She glanced down at Lumi for a moment. Her cat had already settled beside Pearl as though she had completely forgotten about her owner. Elara couldn't help but smile. Lumi seemed perfectly comfortable there, her tail resting against the grass as she watched Pearl.

Bartholomew had said she was welcome to stay, though Elara hesitated for a moment. She looked toward the tree where she had been sitting earlier, then back at him. "Are you sure?" Her fingers tightened slightly around the edge of her book. "I don't want to interrupt you." The lake remained quiet around them. A light breeze moved through the leaves above, and Lumi's tail flicked lazily against the grass. Elara looked at her cat again. I guess Lumi had already made up her mind. A small smile crossed Elara's face. "I suppose I can stay for a little while."

She carefully sat down on the grass, placing her book beside her. This time, she didn't open it right away. She adjusted the book so it wouldn't get caught beneath her, then rested her hands loosely in her lap. Her gaze returned to Bartholomew. "She doesn't usually wander this far," she said. "I guess she found something interesting." Her eyes moved to the guitar resting across Bartholomew's lap. She'd noticed the guitar earlier, but only now did she really look at it. The instrument looked well cared for, and Pearl seemed just as familiar with it as Bartholomew was. "Do you play often?" Elara remained quiet after asking, giving him the chance to answer. Lumi, meanwhile, seemed perfectly happy where she was. At least she stayed this time.
