Crossfire PV Unofficial duel

Nick had signed up for another duel this was becoming a unhealthy habit so on the day of the duel Nick walked the duelling club deliberately his tactics and when he arrived he was as usual spellbound by the beauty of the room once everyone had arrived the moderator Lily Isobel McCorie told them to not cheat.
Nick stopped and thought of what to say and decided to be polite a he was talking to one of his duelling captains so he said in a tone that showed no emotion at all

Nick went opposite Fawkes Chaos and Paul Turner as he got into a duelling stance. And thought of what spell would hurt them the most or at least give him the upper hand. After a few seconds Nick pulled out his wand and gave a death stare whilst feeling nervous himself as he thought Idiot this isn’t your first duel toughen up don’t let them see your weakness and quickly performed his spell hoping with all his heart it would succeed and not miss he rolled his eyes when he noticed that the moderated Lily McCorie was drinking what looked like pumpkin juice he looked at Mikaela mouthing “ready”

Summer came and went in the blink of an eye and, in the span of a few weeks, here I was again, at the duelling club. Damn, I missed this place. More than all, I missed being able to use magic to kick some asses, but oh well. Those are details.

This time, once again, I had to face Fawkes. If I had a galleon for each time I had to face my dormmate in a duel, I'd have two. Which is not a lot, but funny that happened twice, right? And with the same girl! We'd surely laugh about this tonight... If we are able to be on the dorm.

In her team, there was also the Gryffindor boy, Sky's friend. Paul Turner. I remember him by the Capture the Flag event, we were on the same team. Nice guy, I'd hate to harm him.

And in my team... Jameson, Nick. Ravenclaw, too. I remember him from some classes and the common room. Never truly interacted with him, but from what I've heard in the hallways... may the odds be on my favor.

Lily, our moderator, a girl I barely remembered from last year, gave us the green light to begin. I nodded back at Jameson, while pointing my wand at the other zone. Let the games begin, then.

Fawkes and her duelling antics were up once again. Well, atleast she wasn't duelling any more upper years for now. But this was her probably her 5th or 6th duel in the same month. Most people would not be able to deal with more than maybe 2 duels in the month. Fawkes was not most people. She was stubborn. A fitting trait for her Phoenix wand core. Perhaps that's why it felt much easier to use than her old wand.

She walked into the duelling club once again. Honestly, she should start to moderate more duels rather than fight them but she couldn't be bothered. Fighting gave her joy that scratched an itch moderation just couldn't. Granted, she would still do her official duels of course. But unofficial ones? She'd rather be fighting than moderating.

Her team-mate this time was a Gryffindor. Paul was it? She was never the best with names but she did try. This time she had specifically asked who her teammate would be just so she could learn their name. As for her opponents........ Mikaela...... again...... Fawkes felt a knot in her stomach. The girl had recently been in her nightmares. And Fawkes couldn't bear having to injure her. Not after what she had witnessed in her dreams.

She shook it off. She couldn't show hesitation. She was a duelling captain, she should set a good example for the others here. Mikaela's teammate. Fawkes had seen him around the common room but didn't exactly know who he was. He seemed to know who she was though. Well then again she was a sports captain but that wasn't the point right now. She squinted a bit. On second thought he did look more familiar. Had he recently joined the duelling team? Maybe he had, Fawkes hadn't had the time to get acquainted with the new members yet anyways.

She took a breath and dawned the calm and composed duelling face she had recently adopted during these duels. Don't show your opponents you're scared. That was the goal of the face. She giggled and spoke. Best of luck! She said with this smile on her face that was honestly closer to a smirk. Make sure not to get hurt too badly! She called out. As much as she wanted to win she also didn't want to harm her opponents badly.

She turned to Paul as he asked her if she was ready. Her grin widened. Always. Let the show begin! She giggled raising her wand.
