The seer blood that runs through Ginevra’s veins comes from their maternal side of the family. The Delacroix are a long-established, still-operating line of entrepreneurs in France. They run a business hosting grand shows so exclusive that only high society can enter, with the first shows dating back to the beginning of the 19th century. Over time, the nature of this business has become extremely controversial across France, as they would foretell the future to muggles for the right price, which would, without doubt, put the wizarding Statute of Secrecy at risk of being broken. Along with this, they have faced other allegations, such as some of the fortune-tellers allegedly not even being gifted with the Sight and being outright liars. Yet even with all the scandals, they continued their shady business and amassed treasures from it.
The closest seer to Ginevra’s time is their great-grandmother, who is still alive. She is the very person who conjured the prophecy for none other than Ginevra, a prophecy the child has yet to hear. No one from the family has either, because it is insisted that they read it only when they turn seventeen, and no one else is able to hear it. Their grandmother, who had received the prophecy, has taken a liking to Ginevra and has often insisted that the child be sent to live with her and be taught privately by her. This is because their great-grandmother insists the child to be a seer, even if their powers have not yet manifested in substantial ways. They suspect their great-grandmother doesn’t so much believe they are a seer as she expects them to possess the right talents to be a good enough liar to become part of the fortune-telling enterprise. This makes them even more appalled by the whole idea.
Ginevra does not care for the Delacroix family business. They think it is rather tacky for a proud pure-blood family to gain their wealth from muggles. They do not wish to take part in it, yet if they were to be a seer it would be expected of them. For that reason they hope they have not inherited the curse (or gift).
Sadly, there are signs that suggest otherwise, regardless of what the child wishes. At times of heightened emotion, or when the atmosphere around them feels strangely charged, they receive flashes of intuition. Those are incomprehensible and confusing, and they regard them as daytime nightmares. Most often, those visions are clouded by jagged images that flicker past too quickly to comprehend. Sometimes breathy whispers visit them in these episodes, muttering something incomprehensible that sounds almost threatening. From time to time they have recorded a woman’s laugh that sounds threatening and belittling toward them. It sounds uncannily similar to their great-grandmother’s.
They have not yet taken these signs and phenomena seriously. They try to suppress any suggestion that they might be a seer, or lie to themselves to avoid it, so they do not become an accomplice in the Delacroix family business.

They were born in Italy. Their parents were eccentrics: their father, an exceptional dollmaker known in the high society of wizarding Italy, and their mother, no less of an oddity, a fashion designer. Needless to say, they grew up among the arts and the aristocracy. They developed a liking for similar things in turn, but unlike their parents they were more interested in decay than in creation.
When they were nine years old, their father became involved in shady business, or perhaps it had begun earlier, but in that year the Vespucci-Delacroix family were forced to flee Italy, as Mr Vespucci was in debt and unable to pay it back. With what remained of their fortune, they managed to escape to the United Kingdom and settle in Oxford. Their whereabouts are still not shared with many, and the family keeps its business mostly low-key.
For Ginevra, it was never quite clear why they had to leave home, but they were not attached to it anyway. To them it was simply a passing place to perform their rituals, to conjure their spirits, and take from it what was theirs. England was not much different. The move did not affect the child.
Attending Hogwarts was a weighty decision for the family, as they were concerned about privacy, but after Ginevra proved trustworthy with secrets, and following careful consideration, they decided to send her to Hogwarts.

As you can tell from Sofia's first instance of magic, you could see that she was stronger than most of her peers. Although no one could really tell at first, especially because she's muggle-born. Her parents simply believed that Sofia was unusually strong for such a small and quiet child. There had been signs throughout her childhood. She could pick up large rocks while helping in the garden, carry heavy shopping bags without complaining and move plant pots that her older sister struggled to lift. She also broke toys more often than other children, usually because she gripped or pulled them harder than she realised. Most people never really noticed, mainly because Sofia wasn't an athlete like you'd expect for someone with strength, she did enjoy sports but it wasn't her favourite thing. She preferred reading, gardening and making stories in her imagination. She was gentle, patient and rarely became angry. However, when she did become angry, it was normally because someone was being cruel or damaging something she cared about. So that's why when she saw that boy destroying that plant she was furious. How could someone disrespect the environment like that, she couldn't believe someone could be so cruel. So of course she went over to tell him to stop and she was very polite about it too. But the boy laughed at her, he didn't care. But Sofia did, she asked him again, and again. But still nothing. She was on her last wit and tried to push him off the flower but he pushed her back. She got angry, very angry. And pushed him again, she didn't mean to push him so hard but she did.She was shocked and a little bit scared, she didn't want to hurt anyone. For several years afterwards, Sofia tried to hide her strength. She avoided lifting heavy objects in front of other people and became extremely careful when playing games with her friends. She did not want people to find her frightening or dangerous. More than anything, Sofia wanted to be someone others could trust. What she didn't realise was that she could help people. However, hiding her ability did not help her control it. She sometimes cracked plant pots by gripping them too tightly or pulled weeds so forcefully that she fell backwards. Sofia began practising while gardening, lifting pots gently and concentrating on using only as much force as necessary. She also helped carry soil, watering cans and gardening equipment. Gradually, Sofia realised that her strength was not something she needed to fear. It could be useful when controlled properly. She began carrying shopping for her parents, moving boxes around the house and helping her sister with heavy objects.

Character Backstory:

Sofia grew up in a close knit family in Dover, England. They spent as much time together as possible, whether they were eating dinner, gardening, watching films or taking walks near the coast. To most people, they appeared to be the perfect family. However, behind closed doors, they were struggling financially. Money was often tight, but her parents tried their best to prevent their children from worrying. They could never afford holidays, of expensivive gifts, so they focused on creating memories that their children will remember for a lifetime. Because of this Sofia was always grateful for the little things. Sofia learned to be considerate of others because you never know what's really going on in their life. She learnt to appreciate the small things like helping her mother in the garden, borrowing books front he library, making up stories with her sister and most of all spending time with family. Sofia was especially close to her older sister, who has the dream of attending university, however her parents could not afford to cost of sending her. Which left her sister disappointed and unsure about her future. Sofia did not fully understand the family’s financial problems at first, but she could tell that everyone was worried. She tried to help by doing small tasks around the house and avoiding complaints, even when she wanted something they could not afford. When Sofia's hogwarts letter arrived, the whole family was shocked. As muggles they never believed in magic. Sofia was excited but also frightened at the idea of leaving home and entering a world she had never seen before. For her parents the letter represented hope, Hogwarts would allow Sofia to learn, discover her abilities and experience opportunities they feared they could never provide.Although she knew she would miss her family, she knew she would take this opportunity and work hard and make the most of this chance she abeen given.

When she was 6 she was gardening with her mother when she noticed in a nearby garden an older boy was trampling on plants. Her mother hadn't noticed but Sofia was angry. She walked over to the boy and told him to stop but he didn't , she told him again but he didn't so she shouted at him but he wouldn't sop. She was furious and pushed the boy, however when she pushed him she somehow became stronger than she should've been which made the boy fly backwards and land on his bum. He was uninjured but shocked so ran off. Her mother had no idea how she did that and came running over to say sorry to the boy. She then turned to Sofia and told her off, her mother was scared but Sofia didn't know why.

Character Special Race/Talent: N/A Character Backstory: Rowena Smith grew up in the rainy town of Cork, Ireland with her parents and fluffy dog noodle. Her father always called her Roe because she was timid like the Roe Deer that would prance by in the evenings. "But watch little Roe," he would say, "watch how they dance, run, play, but only when they think no one is watching." And his eyes would twinkle with light. She lives in a humble cottage which may be the happiest home there ever was. Somehow, Rowena always dreamed of getting out to a place where she was understood, even though she knew she should have the perfect life. Her family's small cottage is cramped and cluttered, but homey and comfortable as well. Every day she rode to school on the pink bicycle she had had since she was nine. It was her favorite birthday present that year. Every day she came home to her yipping Pomeranian, Noodle, who was entirely spoiled and loved Rowena with all his tiny heart. However, at her public school she was teased and bullied by other girls for her appearance, intelligence, and financial situation. Particularly, a girl named Miranda, and her group of friends made a game of teasing Rowena every day. Her only refuge was the library. Not wanting her loving parents to worry, she wove white lies about her friends and what they did after school to explain the hours with her only true friends, the characters in books. Truly they weren't big lies. The girls who were her friends were Jane, Annabeth, Sophie, Katniss, her book friends. She lived in secret isolation except for the joyful weekends with her family until her Hogwarts letter came.
First Instance of Magic: She was walking home after school when some girls walked up to her. They began teasing her about her love of books, good grades, and red hair. She felt her sadness and anger growing and, in her habit of attempting to not let her emotions be seen, she pushed her feelings deep into her heart. they came out as magic. She suddenly found herself standing alone as the girls had drifted peacefully into a deep sleep. Horrified and shocked she told no one of her strange ability. The girls remembered nothing of the incident due to a memory wipe from the obliviators. Rowena received her letter 3 years later hand delivered by a profesor from Hogwarts.

I grew up in Cuckfield, England, in a loving household with my dad Jerry and my mum Jennifer, along with my 3 siblings: Alice (18), Ted (13), and Helena (8). In our house there was no such thing as hate, but if my parents wanted to punish someone, they would tell him off gently with no shouting involved.
I would play with Helena mostly, all kinds of games that she wanted to play, but sometimes all of us including mum and dad would sit down and play a game. I really enjoyed those evenings.
I had 3 good friends who lived close to us in the wizarding community in Cuckfield, Harriet, Chuck, and Melissa. They were all my best friends. We would play and laugh all day, and sometimes even make up our own games. Each day I would wake up at 8 PM, eat some breakfast, study a bit wizarding history with mum who insisted on it, play with Helena or with Melissa, eat lunch, and go back out to play. When it was time for bed my parents were extremely strict.
Both my dad and mum come from wizarding communities in England, and both their families date a long way back to the almost the earliest witch and wizard.
Harriet and Chuck would usually play together, as they were the "big kids".

One day, me and Helena were fighting over a toy broomstick, each one tugging harder and harder at the end she held, and suddenly I was so angry that gold, hot sparks filled the air around Helena. She ran away to call mum while I stood there, shocked by what had happened.

"Birds don't just fly, they fall down and get up..."
We are like those birds.
