Her stay at the Palace was eventful, after the camp ended, Fenwick as per usual lift her up and made his travel to the Palace again. However, something was amiss, her mother decided to give a message, in a envelope which was wrapped in red ribbon which was laden with vanilla. Angel with a stifled suspire she delicately revealed the paper, which was now denuded.
"My dearest Angel,
It is my utmost pleasure to disclose an arrangement in which you will participate in due time, we have been aquaintinced with another family, the Vranekovas. The families believe they had found similarities in history, and they too have a heritage just the same. Their daughter Milica Vranekova is around the same age, her mother Jarmila Vranekova is keen on having her meet other peers her age and heritage too. Oh — right she is a Slytherin as well!
I believe you have been making haste and gracing your presence with various events but please I ask you humor me on this matter! I'm quite uncertain whether the whole family will be travelling alongside with her but do assume she'll bring herself. Her arrival in Caerphilly will be momentarily.
I expect you to be amiable, I have heard occasionally you can come off as a bit too ritzy — oh forgive my levity I am only jesting! You have far more wit than me!
Your's truly,
Mother"
The atramentous ink was fresh, the letter's contents echoed through her mind. Construed the arrangement, she did not have the pugnacity, Angel would have to follow through but she wouldn't count on being too amiable. Notably with those she had not heard of before. Her chest tightened as she clenched the letter. She was opened to all possibilities of how the outcome of this arrangement would be, she knew she'd be welcomed or not. Upon her arrival she closed the door of the limousine as she bid adieu to Fenwick.
"Milica Vranekova, a grave name indeed." she'd say frankly indifferent with her appellations.
Ahead of schedule she mused she'd have to abide by the stairs that was veiled in velvet. The mourning doves sang a eerie aria, Angel nodded in approval of their tunes. Assented of the crimson scent, the atmosphere never cease to adapt to anyone but her. A myriad no — a plethora of people had experience arrangements before, this would be her first.
All is well she supposed.

| XXX | XXXXXXUnlike most other Hogwarts students she had talked to, Milica couldn't imagine spending a whole month away from her family at summer camp. She had been home for about a month now and the family made sure to spend most of their free time catching up. Her mother didn't work, and her father, working in education, was also enjoying his summer holiday. The young dhampir was more than happy to be home, away from all the wizardry and magic. She could finally stop pretending. Stop pretending to be nice. Stop being a good student. Stop pretending she enjoyed forced interactions with her peers. Now, she could enjoy herself. Spend time outside in nature. Get back into old routines, including her previous diet. Everything was better at home. It wouldn't last forever, obviously. In September, Milica would go back to Hogwarts, this time as a second year. Unbeknownst to her however, the peace would end a month earlier. Behind her back, her mother had been setting up a meeting with another vampire family. Jarmila had always been keen on keeping up appearances, especially after ruining her own reputation amongst the vampire community. Marrying a wizard was unheard of. Safe to say, she didn't let that stop her. Now, though, it appears Milica would fall victim to her mother's attempt to increase her influence on the vampire community again. She vividly remembered the conversation she had with her mother the day before. ────────────────────────────── "Milica, we need to talk." Confusion written all over her face, Milica turned towards her mother. "What's wrong, mother?", she asked, frowning. "Recently, I have come to the realisation that you are still unknown to the vampire community", her mother said with a silky voice. She continued. "Therefore, I have set up an arrangement with a well-known family, the Dayes family. They have a daughter, a dhampir, and the family is thrilled to acquaint the two of you. I will bring you there tomorrow and retrieve you after dinner." Milica's frown deepened. "What!? I don't want to meet other dhampir, mother. I am content staying here with father and with you.", she replied, but to no avail. Her mother didn't relent. Milica was to meet this stranger dhampir the following day. ────────────────────────────── Barely having had any time to mentally prepare, Milica was now pacing around her room. She was not excited. Instead, she was angry, and a little worried. The girl hated social interactions, especially forced ones. How could her mother do this to her. It was unfair. However, always one to listen to the rules, Milica did what she was told. She had gotten ready, which included taking care of her hygiene, brushing her hair, and putting on something decent. Her hair was long and straight as it always was, but she clipped one of the strands framing her face back using a maroon-colored hairclip. Since it was summer, the girl decided on wearing a dress. The dress was black with white lace detail, slightly loose, and reached her knees. On her feet, she wore her trusted Mary Janes. To be safe, she took her wand as well, putting it in a handbag of which the color matched her hairclip. She was all ready. The girl heard three slow knocks on her bedroom door. It was her mother. "I'm ready, mother.", the girl said softly as she opened the door. She felt her mother's eyes looking over her. "You look very presentable, Milica. Come, I will take you to the estate." One portkey later and the two made it to the estate. The Palace, they apparently called it. Presemptuous. Milica was nervous, but it didn't show on her face. Instead, she looked absolutely neutral. No thoughts or emotions could be read from her body language. After all, the only thing worse than fear itself, is other people knowing its existence. The sound of singing doves did little to distract her. It was now or never. Milica nodded to her mother before the two made their way to the entrance of the estate. The dhampir took one last, deep breath, straightening out her dress and neutralizing her expression, before raising her hand. Finally, the girl knocked. Three slow, rhythmic, knocks. Here goes nothing. |

Social interactions were something that Angel was not unfamiliar with, the concept was that several parties would arrange meetings or attend one then whatever they have on their agenda for the said meeting they would promptly commence. This follows for parties, social events, political meetings and whatnot but this was just a facile acquaintance.
Her mother, had once told her that she had came into contact with Jarmila Varenkova and they have become best of friends. Mother can be slightly puzzling, she hadn't been this merry for a interaction for quite some time. Though atleast she is getting out of her shell she'd suppose. An anomaly was construed by the maiden was the notification of their arrival. The Varenkovas have arrived. Unfortunately their arrival at the actual Palace would take a prolonged period of time for the place was grand indeed.
"That must be them." she said in response to the sound
She unfastened the gates and a eerie breeze could be felt between her hair strands. Two people were standing right before her, the mother she presumed and the daughter which her mother marveled about in the letter.
"You must be the Vranekovas, it is certainly a pleasure to see you this day!" she said warmly as she greeted them
As she made her attention and her gaze panned towards the door, the garden had magnified in size as she just realized the acres of land her Dayes family had acquired. Peonies, Lilies, Roses, Lily Valleys, Hemlocks, etc had taken their place in the family garden. It was a sight but a revelation had just started without warning. Someone foreign wouldn't be knowledgeable about the contents that were in the gardens.
"Please follow me as to not get lost, you may have your eyes on the gardens but you may not touch." she heeded
The place was very literal. A palace.
