| ..... | English | French banner by aly salinger! Rubbing his forehead for the at this point non-existent sweat drop, Maxi decided that he should probably catch up with the team. Oh gosh, the Maximilien de Fostoncy who had gallantly been in so many inter-school events and international broom racing games, had only moved forward one zone so far? Maxi soon came to the conclusion that this was, apparently, very inappropriate. That cursed heatwave, he thought, rolling his eyes as he stepped further into the jungles, prepared to face upcoming obstacles. Thankfully somehow, everything was clear as he entered. Maxi smoothly - almost a bit suspiciously - moved into the next zone, and spared a few seconds enjoying the much different view of it. South America was definitely a beautiful place that he would visit again after graduation, he thought, but now what should he do to help the team? It was at the moment when he heard the announcement of Rose - oh, while he hadn't known her well, he knew she could make it - spotting the opponent flag in zone 4. Maxi clapped enthusiastically after the voice faded, despite the fact that he was pretty much by himself. Rose obviously couldn't hear it, but she definitely should be proud of herself. A step closer to victory, he merrily thought. Less than a moment after Aly turned to scan the rest of the jungle, she spotted the dark-haired girl again, darting through the jungle nearby. Frustrated that her first attempt had not caught her familiar target but rather a stranger, even if it did help her team by taking down one of their opponents, the brunette threw her wandtip in the direction of her original prey. She could feel the magic building inside her, ripping through her arm and out the end of her familiar aspen tool, as she cried out for a second time, "Petrificus Totalus!" The pride in her spellcasting ability manifested with an absolutely beautiful curse, a true representation of seven years of practice and being top of her class. Second-year Aly who had been yelled at for an Incendio in the commons would've fainted at the sight, probably.Banner by me!

But - blast! The Slytherin was just too fast again, darting away into another section of the jungle before the blast of perfect light could take her down. It slammed into a tree instead, and Aly grumbled under her breath in dissatisfaction. What a waste of a perfect cast. The seventh-year Ravenclaw adjusted the dark sunglasses on her pale face and squinted up into the sunlight that was filtering down to the jungle floor through the trees, muttering something about slippery snakes and a need to get in some target practice in the duelling room before she graduated. But for now, there was a match to win.

He looks around at the jungle the vast expanse of vegetation, and he starts to see it in a new light. Rather than seeing it as just another forest which is wild, he starts to see that it looks pretty. It makes him wonder about how long it took to grow, super long right? The temperature of the area seemed fine, well jungle fine, it was jungle normal, nice and humid. It seemed humid like Nice after a thunderstorm, just more wild. This must mean that there is water nearby as he could feel the same moistness in the air just like Nice. He takes a deep breath and exhales it. The air tastes like the earth and had that animal taste. There seemed to be a cacophony of animals around them. He attempts a smile at his team mates closeby, who seem to be in the midst of activity people moving about most likely to the next zone, others scanning the area, it was a flurry of activity. He grin feeling his competitive spark flare even more. We've got to try to win this, he thinks to himself. He tries to make eye-contact with a few of the older years, aka everyone else. Trying to see what he's suppose to do and how he can be helpful for the team. There was a trench in this area, wide and ominous. She kept an eye on Della, determined to not be separated from her fellow lioness in this strange area that was likely crawling with their opponents.
And... there. The girl suddenly stopped in her tracks, every muscle tensed as her eyes caught on something through the trees in the distance.
"That's it, isn't it?" she asked Della, her eyes trained on their objective. Their enemies had decided to keep their flag in their base, which was smart, since it was farthest away from the Piranhas as they approached. Then, before she could move towards it-
"Rose has found the Catfish flag in zone 4. I repeat: the Catfish flag has been found in Zone 4. Don't waste time. My time."
Well, she hadn't been expecting to be the one to find the flag, in all honesty. Not knowing where the rest of her teammates were kind of threw off her confidence, unaware if there was some kind of master plan the Catfish were carrying out. Maybe they were all ready to rally behind her when needed, but maybe they were all struggling or trapped or hurt. The redhead didn't have time to hesitate, though. Thanks to the headmaster's sassy declaration that she had found the enemy flag, there was now a huge target on her back. The Piranhas had come one step closer to winning.

Linda sighed. She was hoping for the game to finish. She didn't know much about what others were doing or whether they were alright. She was getting tired. Linda looked around in an attempt to understand at least something. However, she still didn't seem to be that focused.
She seemed to be conflicted and no longer knew what exactly she was doing. She tried to collect her thoughts once again. Perhaps, it would be better if she could be more present. Concentrate on something that was happening around her now and here. Linda was worried about Reyna. Was it a good idea to be here? She didn't know.
Linda thought about the game. It was starting as something somehow interesting. However, now she just felt tired. Constant danger and all the mess and her inability to focus. She took a breath. She can do it. She can find something good and focus her thoughts on passing this game. Hopefully winning as well. She just needed her bestie and her boyfriend to be alright. Then everything will be alright. Hopefully it can help her concentrate better. She smiled a little. Definitely convincing herself that she is happy. And then she heard that her teammate found flag. Amazing, it has finally come close to the end.

Reyna was too scared to move any further down the course. Maybe that was why she had chosen to banter with one of her teammates instead.
But it seemed that she did not really need too. The announcement came soon that someone on her team had found the flag. Phew. That meant that this game was almost over.
This game had not been what Reyna had been expecting. Her arms and legs ached from the running and fighting with the jaguar. She could still feel the pain that soared through her legs and arms. Her clothes were torn to pieces still.
This game had been dangerous beyond anything Reyna had imagined. She had almost died. Multiple times. And she could not get over that. Especially considering the fact that this was supposed to be a fun game.
What was fun about almost dying? Nothing. Reyna sighed, praying that her bestie Linda was okay. Wherever she was. She hoped that Linda had not had a terrifying encounter with a jaguar like she had. She hoped that Linda had her clothes in pieces and maybe was even making more progress than her.
Now all Reyna could do was hope that whoever had the flag, could make it all the way back safely and then they could win the game. With all of them in one piece.
