What time is better when exploring Hogwarts? Nightime of course! Otherwise, it'll be meaningless. And where is the perfect place to explore first? An Abandoned Toilets with not knowing what's lurking behind the shadows and ghosts that we never knew-maybe. Maybe trying to summon something? Perhaps! Of course, that's not all! Who should you decide to do this with? A student wearing a mask that looks like as if she's already a ghost! Boo!

She didn't know why. She didn't even know-how. Yet, here she was going through places and corridors looking around and snooping around, well Selene is a nosy person at best. She was bored after so much reading and too little chaos, she decided perhaps it was better to find one! After all, ladies do not start fights but they can finish them. Well, she could start one but she wouldn't bother having that much on her plate. The young girl quietly avoided being somewhere near the eyes can see. The shadows, of course! The usual inhabitant of the young hermit. Not that she doesn't like being the center of the spotlight, primadonna girl is in her life playlist for reason after all. The fact that almost everyone acts 4 years above their age is acceptable, then her wearing a mask around is too right? She does love mystery after all, oh how excited she'll be if someone somehow manages to know who she is. Although, that will never happen, not until she was the one to decide to reveal herself.

The sound of the bell from the mask was not as loud as she thought, it was quite and sometimes Selene thinks that it indeed is a cursed mask. But no, it wasn't don't worry about it, she just bought it in a funfair in Japan. it's just a plain mask, but she sometimes wonders how the mask fits her situation perfectly, like if she suddenly arrives unannounced with a dramatic surprise! The bell would make a slightly loud sound for people to hear. But when she wants to do something hidden away or in secret, it wouldn't even react just a tiny 'clink' sound coming out of it. Meh, who knows? Maybe it's just the wind or her moving pace. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from somewhere. Without panicking she acted immediately on impulse, making sure that she quickly hides somewhere inside the room. She didn't care where it was, she just needed to hide her traces quickly and quietly.

The young girl leaned against the big wall. Regaining her breath that was clouding her face underneath the mask, she then went towards the nearest closet toilet. Letting out a small, quiet sigh she heard the footsteps getting louder and louder from the minute. Of course, Selene being the usual remains calm in the situation however if she does have to get her hands in detention, they would have to catch her first. In the coming years, she knows she needs to focus more on her own physical abilities. The footsteps suddenly stop, from the closet toilet she could see the person's shadows. The person looked around for a moment, with the spell lumos on its wand. Thank Merlin that most prefects are third years and there are so many new teachers. The masked girl thought about it for a moment, the reasoning behind so many teachers leaving. It must have a connection with the recent incidents going on, take the blossom ball for example. It was disastrous. Nonetheless, the masked bunny shook her head for a moment. She knew better than others to get deeper about the acts going on.

Finally enough, Selene could hear the footsteps going away and out of the bathroom..somehow, it seemed like the footsteps sounded a bit rushed as if it even hesitated to come inside. Meaning only one possible chance. Selene decided to sit down on top of the toilet. She took off her mask for a moment before letting out a sigh, of course, quietly, she wasn't that reckless to actually think the person wasn't near. Selene then knew that she was inside the abandoned toilet. Oh lord, what had she gotten herself into, no, it's not that she was afraid, she's been reading thriller novels since she was 10. She just hated the fact that a high chance, the place was covered in dust, so many germs. The girl then puts her mask back on. Maybe, maybe if that person decided to come back again she would be able to both escape as well as having some fun done! How exciting! But how tho? She thought about it for a moment, then, a playful smirk curved her lips.

How fun!

Lizzie was lost. Again. The last time she'd gotten lost, she'd ended up in the study room, where she somehow made it back to her common room with the help of someone? Or did she find her way back? That day was a little fuzzy in her mind, despite it being recent. Of course, when she had finally made it back to the common room, her brother had given her a hard time about how it was "such a fickle firstie thing" to get lost in the castle. According to him, the castle wasn't that big. He had to have been kidding. The castle was at least five or ten times bigger than their house.

The faint sound of footsteps sparked her attention (and adrenaline), and she panicked, looking around for somewhere to hide. She knew she wasn't supposed to be out at night, but she couldn't find her way back to the common room and her brother would give her even more of a hard time if she had to ask a professor/head student/prefect for directions back. Finding out who was the owner of the footsteps was out of the question.

There! A door to her right looked unlocked. Running to the door, she pushed it open (luckily it was indeed unlocked) and gently shut it behind her. She turned around, expecting the room to be a classroom, but instead... there were dirty porcelain sinks and dilapidated stalls like you'd see in a bathroom?

"What in the world?" she muttered to herself. "Is this some sort of abandoned bathroom, or something?"

She walked further into the bathroom, inspecting everything. The mirror was broken beyond repair, the sinks sported what could be a centuries worth of dirt, the stalls covered in graffiti-- wait. Why was one of the stall doors closed? Was there someone else here?

Lizzie cautiously approached the closed stall door, calling, "Anyone else here?"

'Well-well look what we have here?' The young Selene thought. Great! Just what she needs! Although she quietly hoped for more people to come, oh well! One is better than none! It's none of her business to know what the person was doing in the middle of the night, without a plan nor anything in mind related to causing a little chaos...well perhaps. From the tone of the girl's voice, she sounded lost. As if she didn't know where she was. Selene was relieved, at least it wasn't any of the prefects, nor was it a staff, worst, a teacher.

Nevertheless, before the girl could say another word out of her mouth. Selene jolted out of the closet toilet and looked at her straight to her face with a finger in front of her masked mouth. "Shh." Was all that came out of her mouth, it was quiet. Come to think of it, if Selene was in her shoes suddenly seeing a masked figure in front of her. With really odd big golden pupils, it'll scare her. But from the looks of it, and well, hopefully, the girl was not a scaredy-cat of the sort. She took the girl's wrist so that she was closer to the wall. Of course, Selene was still cautious of the footsteps she heard before. Maybe she was just imagining things, but who wouldn't be cautious of lurkers roaming around the school this time of happening. After all that happened on the blossom ball, the young girl was sure something was going on behind doors. She silently prayed on Merlin's beard that what will happen further on in upcoming days. Just today the school announced that they will coordinate another event, she had a bittersweet feeling about it but who was she to judge?

Hearing that the situation was clear, The masked girl lets go of the girl's wrist before clearing her throat. The voice that the girl would hear wouldn't be Selene's voice tho, in a way. Selene manages to make it deeper somehow, not that she was going through puberty no. She was just good on changing the tone of her voice. Don't worry, she still sounds like a normal child, just not her. Selene looked at her if you're asking how she made sure to change the eyes into another material so that she could still see with it. She knows her way around many things, after all. An heiress must know what she'll be facing her whole life.

"Are you lost?" She asked, a simple question but straight to the point. Hopefully, Selene didn't frighten the girl much with the little stun of her she pulled out, jolting out of the closet toilet. She turns around, her back facing the girl. Selene took a peek outside of the abandoned bathroom.

'Good. No signs of life nearby.'Excluding her and the girl, duh. Selene took a quick moment to look around the abandoned toilet. Damn, the place was dirty. Very old and dirty. She hated it. But who knows what else she might find here. Wait no, the real question was, why and what made this place the way it is now? Was it another accident? An incident or murder? Selene clicked her tongue, she knew the school was old. Old people tend to keep many lessons and many secrets, including the school. She was sure this abandoned toilet leads somewhere, but perhaps that would suffice for another time. Selene had always loved mysteries, but she, of course, knows when to stop and when enough can be enough. Even so, she can be foolish and idiotic to not realize it sooner.

The masked girl turned around once more, one foot pointing towards the door and another towards the girl. Crossing her arms with her thumbs slightly showing. She examined her for a second before looking at the shattered, dirty mirror. It wouldn't hurt to get to know more people after all.

The door of the stall burst open, revealing a masked person who promptly shushed Lizzie. As Lizzie gave the person a weird look, she noticed she'd instinctively moved back a couple of steps. Once she got over her initial shock of a masked person coming out of an abandoned bathroom stall, although she still struggled to convince her brain to stop releasing adrenaline, she found herself laughing. The mask the person was wearing looked like a demon bunny, the more she looked at it, and now she couldn't get the mental image of a regular bunny with big red eyes, and goat horns in addition to its ears.

Before she could react, the masked person seized her wrist and pulled her closer to a wall. "What the frickin heck are you doing?!" she hissed, keeping her voice down as the masked stranger had requested. She too was aware that there was someone in the nearby hallways, and as much as she'd love directions back to the common room, she would prefer if they did not come from a teacher, head student, or prefect. Directions from one of those people would probably also come with detention. She was trying to not get detention at all during her first year, because her brother had predicted that she was, and she wanted to prove him wrong.

Eventually, the masked stranger let go of her wrist and cleared their throat. "Are you lost?" they asked, their voice deeper than the average girl's, but not quite deep enough to be a boy, in Lizzie's opinion. To be honest, their voice was not what she'd expected. But she also hadn't expected them to guess that she was lost first try. What was it with people being able to tell she was lost? First that person in the Study Room, now this masked person!

"Do I have this look that tells everyone around me I'm lost?" she muttered to herself, before also clearing her throat and replying to the person's question. "I guess you could say I'm lost. I prefer 'taking the extra scenic route'." Ah, wasn't she funny? She thought she was.

She looked down at her feet, slightly awkwardly. Hopefully, the person in the mask wasn't some upperclassman that was going to make fun of her for not being able to navigate the castle. She wasn't sure why that was her biggest worry. Considering the stranger's height, though, and how they were smaller than her, unless they were a dwarf, there was no way they weren't a first or second year. Or they were just a really, really short fifth year or higher. But that would be sorta strange...

Behind the mask, Selene rolled her eyes. She didn't want to guess it but in the back of her mind, she would have to guess that the person was truly a Gryffindor. Not that she could read people's backstory, mind, or whatsoever. Here's a little history about moi. As a fact, she knows that her family isn't the type of person to be on the religious side, her father was a former-Christian before he turned into an atheist. Her mother, however, was a Wiccan. As the saying goes, 'the apple does not fall far from the tree.' Selene sometimes admires her mother while she does some of her full-moon rituals. Now, why does all of that matter, exactly? Well, perhaps it's connected mayhaps it is not. Her mother once told her that Selene was some sort of a psychic. Not ones that could read mins do those stuff you see on Marvel films, no. She had a strong intuition that at times even herself fears them, the accuracy both hurts and astound her. But it also means she's highly sensitive to people's aura, maybe because her mother was a healer. Did Selene believe in any of those? Of course not! But she respects them, and it always stays in her mind. After all, it's one of the only memories she had left of her dear mother. As she grew up, she started to actually seriously thought those words her mother said to her. Because it's a hurtful truth.

Nevertheless, Selene had an odd feeling about the place. She was sure there was something more than the eye can see inside. It would be abandoned for something. She took a deep breath before turning around to look at the girl once more with her purple mask. The sound of the bells as she walks, quiet. The girl was tall, anyone could guess that she might be a sports player, maybe it runs in the family. Who knows? She doesn't. Selene walked in front of the sink, looking at the broken mirror. 'Is this place what I think it is?'Immediately as she thought that a shiver went through her spine. This time, she hoped she was wrong.

Selene didn't bother to answer the person. Why? For the person already knows the answer to her own question. The person looked lost. But Selene wasn't one to judge now, is she? She just didn't care enough to pin-point them, it wasn't any of her business on how the person even got here. Perhaps poor coincidence, but fate loves bending things now don't they? Like a little rabbit messing with time itself. She once more glanced over the person. First impressions aren't all that important right? Well, it's a yesn't from her. From the looks of it the girl didn't seem interesting whatsoever but who knows? Selene could be wrong.

From her body language entirely, it was enough for Selene to guess that somehow or in some sort of way, this wasn't the first time the person got lost. Selene silently, quietly as her heart thumps, inside there was a slight screech. If only right now she could say to her, that standing around would do nothing of the sort to help her. But that would blow her cover, wouldn't it? She was known as a straightforward girl after all. She hated it when people do nothing for their own good. But enough is enough, Sene knows better than to make it worst It may sound more cynical that the mad bunny herself would know the feeling of embarrassment. Selene would understand better than anyone how it feels to be useless. Hence why she hated seeing it in person. Well, mayhaps helping this person might do her some favor anyways. After all, she was wearing a mask why else not to just become of it?

"This place is somewhere we should have never stepped our feet in."

Selene said as she walked closer towards the girl. Her tone, still cold as ever but hey! She must put on a performance after all! Also, who knows if rumors of a masked bunny become known? Might as well do it for her reputation! The girl as far as Selene knows did not uphold any reputation, but from just one little match could blaze the whole forest! That is, if both the girl and Selene plays the part right. That is.

Selene couldn't help but grin underneath that mask of hers. How could she not? It sounds like a plan! She hates being called the heroic one, but as one might say 'the world is a stage and the stage..is our entertainment.' Aside from all that tho, what she said was the truth. This place is a gateway to the one and only, rumored Chamber of Secrets. The place where the legend, the one and only Harry Potter himself found the first Horcrux of the Dark Lord. From what her intel could gather, the bones of the previous guardians dwells inside the dark chambers.

That's why both of them must leave the place while also using this opportunity to gain a reputation..of the sort.

Lizzie found herself leaning against the wall, as she watched the masked person intently. They faced away from her, before turning back towards her, the bells attached to their mask jingling. Who was behind the mask? Lizzie wondered. Was it someone she knew? The more she observed the person's mannerisms, everything seemed to point to the person being a first year. Going off what she'd observed from her brother if it had been an upperclassman, they would've already taken off the mask when they'd determined she was lost, the mask only being on for the initial "scare".

But really, was Lizzie very good at reading other people? No. Occasionally she could make an observation about someone and make a prediction and it would be right, but the vast majority of the time she was dead wrong. That was okay with her though. She talked to people enough that she could find out stuff about them.

"So..." she started, not liking the sudden quietness. "How's your day been? Mine was decent, in case you were wondering. Although I'm not quite sure how I ended up in here... Must've been a wrong turn back at the.. uhh that one portrait, I don't know the dude's name." Lizzie gave the other person a smile, brushing a strand of wild red hair out of her face.

It was honestly surreal, the situation she was in. Never had she ever imagined that a wrong turn would lead to her finding an abandoned bathroom with a masked person in it. And that she'd become so immune to jump scares that the masked figure hadn't scared her. Having a younger sister who loves horror movies led to many nights of said sister trying to see if she could scare her older siblings.

Lizzie chuckled softly at the memory. Yet the same horror-movie-loving girl gets nervous during the intense capture-the-flag games that went on at the muggle camp she attends. It was honestly pretty amusing to watch. Her younger sister, Alani, has a tendency to talk to herself when nervous, which makes it super easy to find her during capture-the-flag.

Her reminiscing was cut off when the masked person spoke.

"This place is somewhere we should have never stepped our feet in."

Although Lizzie couldn't stop the shivers from running down her spine at those words, she tried to keep a straight face.

The person started to walk towards her, the mask as emotionless as ever.

"Uhh okay?" Lizzie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Is this the part where you pull out your wand and Avada Kedavra me?" As soon as the words left her mouth, she cursed how bad she took serious situations. If the masked figure was being serious, she shouldn't have come here, and that wasn't a time for jokes. But noooo. Lizzie: it's a serious situation, no time for jokes. Brain: haha jokes go brrrr. Muggle memes were great, in her opinion.

Selene, once again, didn't even bother to answer her questions before, however, the joke about Selene basically killing her made Selene let out a chuckle. For a moment, the girl perhaps could hear the real voice behind the mask, but Selene made sure to quickly erase it. She couldn't help but smirk at the girl, even if she couldn't see her.

"Unless you want me too." The Masked Girl replied, not that she wanted to scare her, no, just slightly making the short conversation more amusing. Ah, where were her manners? She forgot to introduce herself. If she didn't try to introduce herself, how may her reputation spread! Like she said so herself, just a little match is enough to set the whole forest into a blaze~! I mean, what's the harm? It can at east be quite interesting to know how far she can go. At the very least she could make some use out of the lost girl in front of her! Someone who isn't quite bothersome anyways. It's both exciting but also painful to keep her excitement shut, oh my! Her plan seemed so perfect! Even if it was just mere bliss? Is this what they call serendipity> No, it's supposed to be more beautiful I presume. Like a kid finding out their favorite game was coming out or a baby in a candy store! Or their favorite muggle-YouTuber who finally plays their favorite game and not leave a dog named 'Sven' alone-forever. The adrenaline continues to burn fire into her lungs. Well, time is running and it's short so let's try not to waste any more of it!

Selene once more leaned closer to the girl, making her stare at the ask's golden pupils. "Moon Rabbit." Selene stated in a quick-manner, as if she was telling the girl the name of the mask and who she was talking to. Not who was behind it. Was it? At this point of deception, not even Selene knows who she really is, but isn't it too young for a child to have so many traumatic experiences and getting into the existential crisis? Perhaps, but it's often you see them nowadays. These days, she's been trying to get her mind off those things by studying or just napping everywhere. Maybe owling her Aunt every now and then, she is still a child, after all, she may have had her childhood taken away from her but she's a Slytherin for a reason. Ambition is a must in her blood. She would try to appreciate little moments of her childhood memories, even if it's not the same way as she remembers it.

From what she had guessed and from the aura around her, she was a little sure if the girl was a Gryffindor or not. But she would take the risk, of course with the price and the worth she knows might come from helping the girl. It would surely taste sweeter than any honey she has ever tasted!

She thought about it for a moment, trying to remember the location of the Gryffindors common room, well, her dormitory is inside a bloody dungeon after all...let's not forget the fact that a fish god statue was found there. Either way, she took a deep breath finally re-locating where the Gryffindor Dormitory is. She tugged the girl's sleeve, trying not to be too harsh about it. Well, the girl was too tall for Selene's height anyways, how could one be so tall? Maybe she was part Dhampir of the sort or a part giant, now, that seems more reasonable and logical. Selene slightly opened her mask, only for her mouth to be exposed tho, nothing else, and her voice was still that deep edgy-kinda odd but well, it fits vibes.

Entrance. The entrance to the Gryffindor common room is concealed under the portrait of the Fat Lady, on the lavish Gryffindor Landing. To enter one must present the Fat Lady with the correct password of the week. She whispered into the girl's ear. Before letting her go and putting her hand down near her robe. Hopefully, she'll at least remember what one of the prefects said or what the password is."Fifth Floor." She continued. Without a second thought, Selene went ahead and took a peek outside of the abandoned toilets. For her plan to work she should try to help the girl return to her own dorm. After all, the vibes of the place are getting darker by the minute. The fact that beneath them itself could be the one and only first Horcrux of the Dark-Lord and how the remains of the guardian are still kept intact. Somehow, someway, something could happen and it could lead to something disastrous.

"You go. I'll distract the person."
The masked girl said, closing of and fully hiding her face behind her mask. She couldn't help it tho! Grinning ear to ear like a madman on the loose! Merlin's beard! She was ecstatic. Oh, wonder! How this could lead into something so much more! But of course, this is already enough payment for helping the girl. Who knows? She might even believe that she owes the masked girl something! Defeating two birds with one stone I must say! Ah, how lovely!

Selene awaited for the person's answers, but for now, she had to go and check the situation. The sound of her bells could be used as a distraction, and luckily enough her accuracy is good. If she could at least find something that she could throw to use as something else as a distraction, it might spare her some more time, and then she could use it to hide as well going back to her dormitory, but what tho? What could she use as a distraction?

Selene looked left and right to find at least something, a shard window could be too dangerous for her. She could use a stick? And rubbles from the slowly falling brick walls! Perfect! Just what she needed! She took a quick look at the girl, still waiting for her answers.

Love the pewdiepie reference btw.

Lizzie gaped as the masked figure laughed. "You have emotions?!" she muttered sarcastically, a small smile crossing her face. She let out a laugh as the masked person mused about actually killing her. "No, no," she laughed again. "I'm perfectly fine with my current state of aliveness."

The masked figure started to lean closer to her, and Lizzie tried to lean away. Unfortunately, she had been using the wall as support, so there wasn't really anywhere for her to go. She shifted uncomfortably, a frown forming where a smile had once been. "Moon rabbit?" she repeated, confused. "Is that the name of your alter ego? Cause clearly you're either a student here or a professor, but I'm pretty sure none of the professors are that short... So you have to be a student. And no one names their kid 'moon rabbit'." she air-quoted "moon rabbit" as she spoke. Her confidence was building, and she was almost 100% sure that the masked person was a fellow student, but she couldn't figure out what year they were in. What if the person was Lynn?! Nah, Lynn wouldn't do that to her... Or would she?!

Lost in her own thoughts, Lizzie almost didn't notice the person tug on her sleeve. Almost. "What are you doing?!" she hissed, about to give the masked figure some choice words, but then they began to speak. Like the desperately lost first year she was, Lizzie listened carefully to the instructions she was given but found them largely unhelpful.

"Yeah thanks, but I don't know where exactly on the fifth floor it is! And the staircases seem to have taken a disliking to me and they never take me where I want to go!" She was pretty sure the person didn't hear her, as they went over to the door and peeked outside.

"You go. I'll distract the person."

Lizzie scowled. "I don't think you realize the extent to which I can't navigate this building," she started. "It's not as easy as 'go to the fifth floor and find the Fat Lady'." she started to wander over to the door anyways. "Knowing me, I'll find some way to end up on the wrong floor."

Although she wasn't exactly sure what she'd said was true, it sure seemed that way, considering both times she'd gotten lost recently had been trying to get to the common room. And both times she'd ended up on the second floor instead of the fifth floor. You'd think getting to the fifth floor would be easy enough, you just climb stairs until you're there, but Lizzie could swear the staircases had something against her. She would've climbed up two already, and then get on the next one going up, and somehow she either ended up stepping through the trick step (which she could've sworn was not there yesterday) or back on the second floor.

Selene couldn't help but roll her eyes, this girl was amusing but also troubling. Either way, Selene made sure to take one of the many useful things inside the bathroom. Let's see, a stick and some rumbles. The masked girl made sure to check the surroundings outside once more to see if anyone's out there. She thought about it for a moment, her lips clamped shut while she crossed her hands. Considering the route of the school itself always changes from time to time. There might some way for Selene to be able to lead her back towards her own dormitory while also distracting the person. In speed and physical being, Selene was an average. She snapped her fingers, quietly, realizing as a matter of fact that even if the route of the school is troubling, at least it's beneficial. Why? Because while distracting the person, Selene would use the objects as another distraction. Then she would meet up with the girl once more and lead her back to her dorm! There! Mission accomplish! Now it's only up for the girl to actually try to use her memorization brain abilities to its full attention. If somehow one of them screw this up, both might end up in trouble, wait not the only one probably going to get in trouble would be the girl. Besides, Selene knows her way around things. If something would happen to her clean, away from trouble records.

She once more looked at the girl straight to her eyes. If they want this to work out, she'll need to listen and be very careful. So that Selene will show her the way towards her own dorm. It'll be slightly hard and both of them had to examine their surroundings every now and then. This is Selene we're talking about she will always have something in the back of her hands. Even if it's both accidental or planned out immediately. She knows better than to let her emotions out of control when something doesn't go as she planned. It was irritating and very off-putting, but she must learn to accept it.

"Once you step outside to go to the right, go forward then go right. Finally, you'll find a small painting and from then onwards, I'll meet you there."

She said in a stern manner. She was serious about this. Of course, she didn't care much for what happens to the girl if somehow she gets caught. Self-Preservation is indeed the most common trait inside Slytherin. Without saying another word, Selene then threw one of the rocks she found outside the door. She then made a run for it, as her bells continue to make its sound. Instead of going to the right, however, Selene went towards the left side. She muttered under her breath that if the girl won't be there when she finds her, she'll leave her there until morning.

Lizzie found herself leaning against the nearest wall, once again as she watched the masked figure collect loose items from the room. If you could even call it a room. Technically it should be classified as a room, but considering how decrepit and gross it was, she wouldn't call it a room room. Maybe she was overcomplicating things. Maybe not. Maybe some things were meant to be overcomplicated when you were waiting for a kid in a bunny mask to finish picking stuff up off the floor.

She was about to try to fill the silence --again-- when the masked figure looked straight at her and gave some slightly more specific directions. Right, straight, right again, make sure to see the small painting and continue forwards, she chanted in her mind. Surely, she could remember that.

"Got it," she muttered, more to convince herself than the "moon rabbit" person. Without a warning, "moon rabbit" opened the door, threw a rock, and took off down a hallway. Lizzie could hear the jingling bells from the mask getting quieter and quieter as they and their wearer traveled further and further down the hallway.

That was her cue. She tiptoed out of the abandoned bathroom, held up both of her hands to check which way was right, and casually started to walk down that hallway. She hoped it was the right one, considering how she'd panicked and forgotten which left was right, but it was too late to turn back now.

"Oh shoot," she heard herself mutter. Was it a right or a left after the straight portion? She didn't know. Right it was then. Maybe she should've had "moon rabbit" write the directions on some parchment or something. That would've had a smaller chance of failure than expecting her to remember the directions.

A portrait on the wall caught her attention. It was so much smaller than all the others. Wait, hadn't the directions said something about a small portrait?! Lizzie racked her brain as she tried to recall the directions. There definitely had been something about the small portrait. Now, was it continue past the portrait or turn? She scanned her surroundings to catalog her options. It had to have been to continue past the portrait. There was no corridor turn-offs near her. Unless there was a secret passage or something. But there was no way she would've known about them.

As she continued to walk, she tried to figure out where the "moon rabbit" had told her to meet them, but now that she was thinking about it, she didn't think they had ever specified a place. Huh. And so, which her excellent decision-making skills, Lizzie continued walking down the corridor, oblivious to the world around her as she lost herself in thought.
