Wisteria patiently waited for the meeting to get started, but when she'd had enough, she pulled out the copy of Crime and Punishment she had brought along, and started to reread it for the...
How many times have I read this already? At least five... Wisteria thought. I don't mind though, it's always interesting to read Raskolnikov's spirals and Porfiry's psychological warfare.
She was so absorbed in her reading that she didn't notice a boy with dark hair and glasses holding a copy of Crime and Punishment too. When Wisteria finally looked up and noticed the boy, her eyes widened slightly.
Another person who has read Crime and Punishment? This... this is amazing! Finally, someone to discuss one of my favorite books with! That is, if I can muster up the courage to go talk.
Wisteria took a deep breath and decided to talk to the boy... in five minutes. She was on one of the scenes where Porfiry was trying to get Raskolnikov to confess, and although she'd already read this multiple times, it never failed to impress her with how easily Porfiry could dismantle someone.
After some time, she had completely forgotten how she'd meant to talk to the boy, and switched books to Chūya's poems, immersing herself in his beautiful, almost lyrical depictions of isolation, grief, and trauma. It made her depressed, but who cared? It was pure poetry.
Finally, she remembered that she had wanted to go talk to the boy. She got up from her seat and went to find the boy.
When she found him, she cleared her throat politely to get his attention.
"Hello! I saw that you had a copy of Crime and Punishment in your hands. It's one of my favorite books, and I was wondering if you would like to discuss it until the meeting starts. Only if you're not busy though..." she added. Then she realized that another girl was trying to talk to him, and apologized to her. She patiently waited for them to finish.

𝕽obin squeezed his satchel strap and waited anxiously for someone to tear open the silence. Who was the host? He knew nobody in this room, so he had no idea. The invitation was hand-written, there was also a hint of a name on it, but he knows of no one fitting those scraps of information. When exactly is this supposed to start? Robin even visited the possibility that this was a trap set by prefects to lure students into detention. It's the last night of school! Why would anyone bother?

As his speculations dwindled his confidence, a familiar voice simultaneously startled and comforted him. "Robin," she whispered. Though it was a minimal volume, the close range made Mikaela's voice boom in Robin's ear. He turned around to face a mischievous smirk, something he didn't exactly expect to see on the Ravenclaw girl's face. Not saying that his friend's no fun at all, quite the opposite. It's just that they've mainly been hanging out as study partners instead of crime partners. That being said, Robin liked seeing more sides of a person, it was interesting.

"Mikaela," he whispered back. Robin slightly turned his face towards the girl, not enough to face her directly, but enough to shift his focus away from others in their little corner. He shuffled through his satchel and pulled out Crime and Punishment, the copy Mikaela lent him, and handed it to her. "Here you go, thanks for letting me borrow it." It was a great read, The Outsider is still his favorite, but Robin appreciated the in-depth exploration of Raskolnikov's psyche. Abnormal psychopathology interests him quite a lot. Discussions might have to wait till next year, sadly, since they don't have much time left this semester.

Robin was in the middle of brainstorming a conversation when a not-so-familiar voice chimed in. She had black hair, a rather short style compared to the other girls he can currently see. She seemed a bit nervous, but unlike him her words flew out swiftly and all at once. She had noticed him holding Crime and Punishment, apparently a favorite of hers.

"Uh . . . sure?" Robin looked to Mikaela for guidance. She was the one who lent him the book after all, she probably likes it more. The boy pushed up his glasses, giving the room around him and quick glance. The stranger's voice wasn't exactly a whisper and that made Robin feel uneasy. Not denying the reality that there's been some greetings exchanged, they're just . . . less personal and scary than "chatting with a stranger". "I just finished reading it, so my memory's pretty fresh." Pausing a moment, Robin then gestured towards his friend, "That was not mine, by the way. Just gave it back to her." During his response, the boy tried to keep his voice down. Not really a whisper, but definitely lower than normal.
