Career Day Glitter on the Rocks Open

[OOC: I’m still finishing up and editing this pls give me a second]

Without the yearly trips to the UK, weirdly enough, Slava found a part of him missing it. While Hogwarts events were typically known for being disasters, he had still had some good times there and had met many cool people through the international school visits. Always in search of new experiences and opportunities to meet others, it didn’t take long for Slava to decide to go to the Hogwarts Career Day once he found out about it.

Unfortunately, that meant he had to actually prepare stuff to some extent, which could be hard considering his struggles with attention and planning. Nevertheless, orienting himself around what he liked about this prospect enabled him to maintain enough focus to pull together what he needed to. He could wing the rest of it — he enjoyed staying on his toes, and had faith in his knowledge and ability to handle this.

June 20th rolled around quickly, and he headed into the grounds of the school that had become quite familiar to him through the visits over the years. It was strange, though, to be entering without those from his own school. His Durmstrang friends weren’t here, making it feel distinctly different, but he would still try to make the most of the experience. He was an adult now, after all, and should be able to stand on his own.

He set up in the Great Hall, a place that should have a lot of people coming by as well as plenty of space. He stood behind a portable bar counter that he had brought, equipping it with everything he should need. Thanks to the capabilities of magic, all of this was a lot easier than it would have been for Muggles. A table was set up next to the bar purely for the students, with more supplies and information. Mocktail makings lay on it, with juices, sparkling water, non-alcoholic bitters, flavoured syrups, garnishes, and more — including, most importantly, edible glitter. While there was no alcohol present, it didn’t mean that they couldn’t have fun and have complex drinks.

Several levels of involvement were being offered — students could elect to do anything from quickly grabbing a drink in passing to learning about equipment and the job, watching demonstrations, and even participating more actively themselves. For students who were shy or reluctant to interact, options would be provided for them [explain], though he would still try to engage them if he could.

[im not done pls give me a second to make it more interesting]

OOC Information:
- NO alcohol is present here, this is a school of mostly underaged children.
- Please interact!! I will aim to hopefully respond after every 1-3 posts from others, though I am currently unwell and also visiting family for the next week, so I can’t promise a specific speed.
- I can go into more detail about equipment and other things in future posts if wanted ^^
- In my next post, Slava will be doing a performance of sorts

Ophelia didn't know Hogwarts would host events where graduated and adult students would visit the grand school to show the younger ones what they did and educate them on something other than school subjects. When she first found out about the event, she was sure that the younger students couldn't possibly be able to participate; that was only until she realized the event was partially for the students to increase their knowledge of different careers, and maybe find one that suited them, "that'd be a wonder, if one of these piqued my interest that much," Ophelia mumbled to herself as she entered the Great Hall, filled with tables and stands, and, of course, graduates, "here goes nothing," she said as she made her way toward the first counter.

"Hi," she smiled at the graduate whose counter included... drinks? Lia looked at him, curiosity visible in her eyes, "are you a... bartender?" First job that would come to her mind when seeing drinks, mocktails to be specific, was bartending; unless the man was a server or waiter of some sort and had forgotten to bring a tray to show them how he'd balance the drinks with one hand.

How do you know how much of each juice you should mix," she started, "for the final drink to taste good? Do you just go with a feeling, or specific measurements?"
