In Search of a Legend
Her lips, getting closer to his, Bloom felt herself finally reaching the destination. She opened her eyes and was disappointed to discover it was only his palm of the hand. Frustrated, she tried to grab him, but he had sped off and hopped around the empty table.
Does he not love me? How can he not love me? I love him..., she thought to herself. They were meant to be together and here he was, trying to stay his distance the entire time. At first, she thought that he was only playing around, but it was perhaps for real. Bloom crossed her arms and looked at Reid with irritation seeping out of her eyes.
"You may not love me right now. But you will, Reid Kovacs. And when you do, you'll be jealous and you will be wondering if you missed out," she said, looking at the Hufflepuff boy she was in love with. She wasn't in love with Ben Eckenrode. Who was he really anyways? She only saw him during their patrol sessions. Reid... He was always there for Bloom. Always.
Bloom walked closer to Reid who was on the other side of the desk and the more he began to talk about how he was the one who rejected her, her heart began to feel as though it was breaking. Was it the spell wearing off or was her heart truly breaking at the thought that the one she loved did not want to be with her at all? One day he'll love me, she thought.
Her eyes, filling up with tears, she fell to her knees and started to breathe heavily. "Reid, I...," the spell began to wear off and the tears disappeared. She was able to take control over her body. It was as if she was back to where she was before the spell had taken over. She felt as though she had complete control over her body. She got up and looked around. How did I get here? she asked, only remembering that she was over by the broken potion.
Looking at Reid, he saw terror on his face. She was confused. Her cheeks turned red in embarrassment. Oh no, what did I do now? she asked herself. She down looked at her skirt which was ridden high and pulled it down. She looked back at Reid and tilted her head like puppy dogs do when they are confused about something. "What just happened?" she asked, and Bloom started to walk towards the broken potion to figure out what could have been the reason for her time lapse.

In Search of a Legend
Reid started forward as soon as she collapsed on her knees, startled at first and thinking that she had passed out. But he paused to see her talking once he saw her in his view again, the boy let out a sigh of relief. "Welcome back ..." the boy weakly smiled. This was the Bloom he knew, not the one who seemed drunk on love with no sense of space. His hand ran through his hair and he watched her get up, was she okay now? Reid began to slip his flannel back on till he saw where Bloom was heading.
"Bloom, wait!" he hissed. The boy dashed forward, almost slamming into a desk again, to step himself between her and the broken phial. Now he broke the personal space he had, but for a good reason of course. "That's the thing that made you really out of it in the first place. I think it was a love potion." he mused, stepping back from her. Reid held his breath and threw his flannel shirt on the remaining liquid instead of wearing it on himself.
It wasn't much and a good amount of the potion either dried up or seeped into the cracks of the cobbled floor. He scrunched the shirt up, the smell largely was gone and almost nonexistent at best. He exhaled, taking a small sniff to see that it was faint and not enough to affect him. "Good." he muttered, slowly standing up. Reid continued to wrestle with the slightly soaked garment of his, looking over to Bloom as he did. "You got really uh - ..." How would he word it? He didn't want to make it sound weird, despite it being weird already.
"Touchy? I think you were just seeing things though, yeah? It wasn't that weird, you just didn't seem like yourself." He didn't want her to feel bad, he quickly found out she wasn't in the right mind. Reid tucked the shirt under his arm, letting out a soft exhale as he began looking around the room. What were they here for again? The Room of Requirement? Right, they should get on that. He needed to distract himself from the post-potion scene and dive back into the search. "Where's this room? ..." he mumbled, setting the shirt onto the desk. Reid walked up to the closest cabinet and began feeling behind it.

"Trouble usually finds me."

In Search of a Legend
Nearly a few feet away from the potion, her heart jumped seeing Reid dash right in front of her. Confused, she took a step back and watched him take care of the spill. Bloom leaned against the table nearest her and crossed her arms. What was the big deal? A potion dropped and we made a mess..., she thought to herself, annoyed that he kept her away so quickly. Unless...
Bloom took her left hand and placed it on top of her wide-open mouth, in shock. "A love potion?" she asked, her heart beating fast and faster. What could have happened? Perhaps from the look in Reid's eyes, there was quite a bit that happened. "What did I do?" she asked. Did she even want the answer? She would feel even more embarrassed if she knew exactly what happened.
Why did things-- awkward or strange-- always happen when around Reid? Is she never allowed to be just herself around him?
Glad that Reid had changed the subject, she began to look around the room some more, careful to not bump into anything else around the room. "Maybe it's not in here...," she said, feeling as though she wanted to give up. Realistically, she just wanted to leave Reid, head to her dormitory and scream in her pillow. But that wasn't an option right now for her.

In Search of a Legend
To save her the embarrassment, he didn't mention it and yet at the same time - he wanted to. Reid didn't want to make her feel bad about what she did, but he was also sugarcoating the whole thing. He was torn, was he enough of a good friend to Bloom? Almost every time they were together, it would end in an awkward way. Were they doomed to be that way? The whole situation had completely taken him out of the mindset for looking for the Room of Requirement. It seemed like a bust as he tried to forget what largely happened in the last few minutes.
He ran his hand through his hair, moving a few mundane objects around that most likely had no importance. A book, a phial, and a reach around was all he did. His expression sat empty as he tried to focus on the task they originally came to the potions room for, which was starting to get increasingly difficult as the minutes ticked on. He turned himself around to face the brunette, pausing with his mouth slightly open. Reid tightly closed it, stepping back to sit himself on one of the tables. His feet dangled a bit from the height as a result.
"Hey Bloom? Maybe it's not here, I think you were right earlier at the Owlery. It's probably on the upper floors." he mused, clasping his hands together. Reid was sure that she was pretty aware of the weirdness they were in, again. He knew she was too smart not to, he was just too ignorant sometimes. He swung his legs a bit, exhaling a little harder as he cleared his throat. "Maybe we can even look in the library and see if there's a book about it, that place is way too huge to not have a book on it."
