Emojis
After the icons, the emojis!
Our site has had smileys that I am very fond of since its very beginning:
. They come from the very first Invision Power Board forums of the early 2000s, and I had manually reworked them to smooth their edges and make their backgrounds transparent.
In the meantime, emojis appeared... The problem is that emojis look different depending on your device (Apple, Google, Microsoft...), generally use colours that make them very difficult to read on parchment, and do not match our smileys very well:

Here is the result: below, I alternate between the original smileys and emojis to show you how closely the latter have been transformed:










Not all of them are perfect, but I do think this is an improvement! To use them, simply insert emojis as you normally would, and they will be converted when the message is posted. Personally, I will stick with the old ones, which are so wonderfully made:

I fixed a small Safari bug that caused these emojis to appear very pixelated on iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Everything should be working properly now.
