It was midday and the weather was unknown in the basement of the Scottish castle. Around this time, most of the students went to the Great Hall to eat lunch and socialize with their friends. Bloom, on the other hand, had something else planned with her friend, Reid Kovacs. As discussed from the night prior, they were to find a room that was unknown to them. A room that was hidden and just required a bit more focus to find.

Bloom learned about this legend from a Slytherin girl during her rounds a few days ago. While they were unable to find it on the second corridor, her and Reid decided to have a plan and check every floor of the castle, starting with its basement. The only place open for them to check at this time was the Potions room.

Waiting outside the door, Bloom was hoping for Reid to meet her. She wondered if he remembered about their adventure as it was a last minute plan. She began to fix her uniform while waiting. She took out her white shirt from being tucked and raised her skirt slightly higher than the knee-high length.

Not able to focus for most of the day, she was excited to spend some quality time with Reid. One thing she learned last night was that although she had feelings for him, she knew nothing about him. She wanted to learn more about him. Her stomach felt a bit achy at the thought. She was with Ben Eckenrode and here she was spending time with Reid... Should the time have been spent with Ben instead?

An older person with the knowledge of relationships and how they work would say yes, but Bloom, an eleven-year-old who's hormones are spiraling out of control would think otherwise. She wanted to see Reid, and that was all her mind was telling her to do.

The role of Head Boy helped perpetuate his constant need to explore the castle and thankfully it gave more freedom at the same time. He stayed out of his uniform this time around, his dress shoes weren't the best at running away from danger. But after he learned that they were only going to the Potions classroom, he slightly regretted dressing down at all. He wore an unbuttoned flannel, jeans, white t-shirt, and some dirty sneakers.

Reid was as muggle as muggle goes, he actually felt more comfortable wearing his casual clothes as opposed to his uniform. That and he always felt a little dorky in his uniform, he didn't feel like it suit him very well. It better suited the rest of his friends though, in his opinion at least. His wand was tucked in the back pocket of his jeans, his slingshot was left back in his dorm room. If he was going to need his trusty slingshot in the school, he might as well sleep with it under his pillow at night.

Yet so far he didn't think that he would be in any grave danger, not with his friend around. Coming around the corner, Reid spotted Bloom and waved towards the girl. She was still in her uniform, perhaps she wasn't done with her schoolwork. Maybe he was just too early with his dressed down attire. "You're still in uniform. Did you just come from class, Bloom?" he wondered as he got closer. Reid did admit, he liked going on adventures with the Ravenclaw girl.

Plus he would have something to talk about if they did find this Room of Requirement. It sounded like castle mythos from the looks of it, but deep down he hoped that it was more than just rumors. "So no dungeons, potions room - right?" he asked, placing his hand on the door's handle. When he heard the change of plans, he really had no qualms with it. But he also didn't see the correlation it had with the Room. Although he wasn't someone with the best foresight of the group, his thinking was more or less simplified. He hesitated before pushing the door open. Reid lowered his head to her earshot along with his voice, "No one's inside?"

"Trouble usually finds me."

Waving back at the Hufflepuff, she looked at the clothes that he was wearing. Style did not seem like his forte, but it wasn't her right to judge. Here she was, on their day off from school, wearing her school uniform. She did not know how to tell him that her parents were not as wealthy to buy her a bunch of uniform clothing and also her own personal clothing. Most of her clothing from home were left home for her younger sister, Bella.

"No, I just like the uniform style," she lied, perhaps it was not best to talk to Reid about her personal financial life. A lot of Hogwarts students were extremely wealthy. The last thing she needed was to be picked out of a haystack for needing scholarship to the school.

"If we are searching for this legend, we should be thorough. I thought it would be best to start here," she confirmed, knowing that it was a bit weird to search the Potions room rather than the corridors. However, there could be a chance that there was a secret door in the room. Who knew?

Bloom smiled when Reid stated that there was no one in the room and walked in. She looked around and saw a glass jar after glass jar filled with so many ingredients that she would have never thought to exist. She walked further in and sat on top of one of the tables looking towards Reid. Bloom had no idea where to look for a hidden door. The Slytherin was looking at walls... There was hardly any wall space here, every wall was covered with a cabinet full of potion ingredients.

"Where should we look first?" she asked him, pulling her skirt down, realizing that her pulling it up earlier backfired in which it was moving upward when she hopped on the table.

He followed after the girl, easily able to see over her as he peered into the classroom. It was as empty as ever, maybe Professor Ethel left early. He didn't know. It smelled odd, there was some weird leftover smell he could pick up once he stepped inside. It could be left over scents from the mixing done by the other students, he always found himself walking away smelling like frogs legs at the end of the day. "Odd..." he mused, closing the door behind him. Reid went straight to work with looking for something that could open a secret door.

He watched enough cartoons to validate his assumption, plus he really wanted to see one of the shelves just turn around to reveal a passageway. He looked under the desks, feeling under for anything that would catch his attention. His fingertips brushed over a soft bump, it was chewed gum. "Ugh, gross." he growled as he yanked his hand away. Reid looked up just in time to see the Ravenclaw struggle with her skirt, causing him to quickly look away. Maybe he should offer his flannel to her?

"Uh - maybe one of these shelves is hiding something." Reid suggested. The Hufflepuff walked up to one of the short shelves and placed his hand on either side. He wasn't weak, but he wasn't a superhuman kid either. Reid moved it just a bit to peer for any secret passages. Nothing; so he nudged it back into place. He rolled up his sleeves and folded his arms.

"You're probably smarter than me to be honest, so I'll let you be the brains. I'll just uh - move things." he crooked smiled at her. It was the truth, he didn't want to waste energy on baseless assumptions. Plus, she might get better traction on their investigation than he did. "I don't want to end up rearranging Professor Ethel's classroom."

"Trouble usually finds me."

Giving up on fixing her skirt, she hopped down from the table and began to look around the same way as Reid. She went towards the opposite side of the classroom from him and began to look into the bookshelves of glass jars and other ingredients, wondering if there was an opening that was hiding behind them. She had also looked on the sides of the shelving to see if there were hinges, marking it to be movable. Unfortunately, there were none to be found.

Bloom sighed, feeling defeated that there was nothing that hinted to the Room of Requirement. Nodding to Reid who put her in charge of the lookout, she felt more responsible to find the legendary room. She knew that they could have been eating a wonderful lunch meal right now, but he took time out of his day to look for something that might not even exist. She did not want to waste his time and leave so quickly.

Looking around with her chocolate brown eyes, she saw a cabinet filled with lots of ready-to-go potions that had not been looked at. It was in the corner of the room, a place where hidden doors may linger. Bloom walked over and opened the cabinet, thinking that maybe something inside could open the door and move the cabinet as a whole like they do in other castles.

Looking at all the potions, they were not written out in English. They seemed to be in an ancient language that was unknown to her. She wondered if Professor Ethel spoke other languages for her to mark these differently. Ignoring the languages and leaving the doors of the cabinet open, she began to look around the cabinet for hinges. Sighing, there was nothing.

Bloom turned around to look at Reid, knocking against the cabinet by accident. A small bottle that was placed at the edge of the shelf knocked over and fell onto the floor. The bottle, shattered, had an aroma that was sweet. Bloom, nearest to it, couldn't help but to sniff the smell. Lifting her skirt from above her knees, she dropped down to her knees to try and pick up the glass, but the more she smelled the scent, the more relaxed she became.

"I'll pick it up," she said calmly, her words slower than her actions. She was already down on the floor trying to pick up pieces of glass to clean up her mess. The last thing she needed was to have Professor Ethel come in and put them on probation for sneaking into her classroom without an adult present.

Picking up a piece of glass, she saw a piece of paper that was attached to the bottle. It had read the following:

Having no idea what it meant or how to read it, Bloom was unsure of what to expect from the potion, if there were any side effects to the sweet smell she was smelling.

Reid ran a frustrated hand through his hair, mostly annoyed at the complexities of the potion room. How hard was it to find a giant room? He picked up some of the bottles, thinking they were levers at some point in his search. But he'd immediately put them down as he didn't want to tamper with the professor's things. He didn't stray too far from Bloom, he was clumsy sometimes and being near someone helped him behave himself.

"You'd think there was a hint by now." he mused, gently setting a bottle down. His head whipped around to hear Bloom knock into cabinet and shatter a bottle, making him jump in the process. Hands curled into fists and his shoulders cocked straight. He glanced at the door to see if anyone heard them - no one. His body relaxed, letting out a shaky breath as he looked over at the now bent girl. He thought he saw a small bit of wisp come from the small puddle.

"Wait, Bloom -" What if she cut herself? She didn't seem all that okay either, her words seemed a little lethargic. He quickly stepped back from what he was doing and slipped his flannel off to use as a temporary mask. "I have it Bloom, don't worry. I don't think you should be smelling whatever that is." His voice was muffled by the bundled cloth as he hurried over to crouch across from her.

Reid began quickly using one hand to pick up some of the small bottle into his hand. He could tell something smelled sweet and as soon as he did smell it, he yanked his head away and towards more fresh air. He then placed some of the shards on the cabinet beside them. He could see the runic lettering but didn't know what it meant, he was afraid it could be poison. "Are you okay?"

"Trouble usually finds me."

Every part of the body began to get more and more relaxed. What was wrong with her body? She felt her brain muddling little by little on top of it all. Bloom heard Reid's voice, but was unable to say anything back to him. It seemed that he knelt down across from her, helping her pick up the glass. She saw him place the glass in the cabinet and she followed suit.

The potion made a puddle, but hopefully it would dry before Potions Class would start again, or before Professor Ethel entered the room. When it looked all done, Bloom looked up at Reid. Her heart began to pound fast. What's happening? she thought, her body was changing without her thoughts or consent?

Bloom had an urge. And it wasn't any kind of urge she felt before. This urge was foreign to her and she did not know what to do. She fought against her body that wanted to topple on top of him. Stop..., she fought herself. But it wasn't working. What potion was it that she smelled? Is she not allowed to have any control over herself?

"Reid, I...," she tried to let him know of what was happening, but she could not finish the sentence.

"Reid... I...," again, nothing happened. She was stuck with those two words. Her mind muddled some more, this time, she was unable to take control of anything. Her mind and body were under a spell. Bloom crawled over to Reid, sitting next to him. She smiled, played with her skirt and nestled her head against his shoulder and her hand placed on his chest between his open flannel.

"When did you get so handsome?" she asked, outright flirting with Reid, her fingers strumming on his chest. "Reid, I...," she started, taking in his smell, which matched the smell of the potion causing her face to flush and her heart to beast faster. "... Love you," she finished, her smile sincere.

I love him. I love Reid Kovacs. Bloom's mind began to race, stating the same phrase over and over again. It was as if it was persuading her that this was the love of her life.

"You're the only one for me. Just you. I can't see myself with anyone but you, Reid Kovacs. I love you," she added.

There was always a new found feeling he ran into since his time at Hogwarts, they were usually intense and out of the blue. They came in moments that were usually emotionally charged and this was one of those moments. Fear and something close to raw embarrassment caused the young boy to almost flinch as she put her hand on his chest. What was happening? His forest green hues widened in fear at her actions and it caused him to freeze like deer in headlights. What did she just say? "L-l-love me?" he squeaked, his voice cracking all the while. Puberty honestly was a curse.

Wait a minute. Reid moved his head to the side to look at the fallen piece of paper on the ground not too far from where they were. Four runic letters; it had to be love. That gave him some relief until she continued to flirt with him. How could anyone not melt at those words? He also couldn't deny the niceness of affection. But they weren't meant for him and he clearly knew it. How could he fix this? Could he even fix it? The young boy used his own hands to move hers away from his frame, maybe space would help this situation. "Bloom ..." He slowly stood up, his hands out in front of him as if she was going pounce him at any second.

His poor friend always seemed to get the short end of the stick on their adventures, some misfortune always seemed to follow her. "That potion that broke is a love potion, I think. Ben Eckenrode is your boyfriend, remember?" he slowly reminded her. Reid put some distance between her and him, trying to relax his fearful heart. The boy cleared his throat, wringing his wrist as he tried to get the air back into his lungs. Courage dear heart, could he potentially break her heart again? He didn't know how potions worked and how much she'd remember.

"You don't love me, you love Ben - a lot. I'm just your friend." If she wasn't under the influence, saying the things he did would have been harder to muster. But it was easier knowing that this wan't the Bloom he normally knew. They were sweet words, it was hard not to be charmed, but they weren't real and was just a paper thin rosy language.

"Trouble usually finds me."

Why is he moving away from me? Doesn't he know I love him? I LOVE REID KOVACS.

Bloom held onto his clothing, trying to pull Reid down, but it was no use. She got up from the floor and saw that his hands were reaching out. Was that to make sure she would stay back? Bloom, not in her right set of mind, was extremely confused as to why he would want her to stay away. Why doesn't he want Bloom near him?

"No, you're my only love. I don't have anyone but you. I don't love Ben, I love you, Reid Kovacs. Only you," she said, walking closer to him. He kept giving distance and for some reason, she felt uncomfortable with it. She did not want to have any distance from him. She needed to be near Reid. There was an urge of how close she needed to be. She moved closer and closer.

"Just my friend? Says the handsome Hufflepuff who is in a classroom with just me. We're alone," she said, feeling excited at the fact that she was alone with Reid. Bloom made her way closer to Reid by going under his stretched out arms and she wrapped her arms around his neck, her smile sly.

"Can I tell you a secret?" she asked, her face flushed again and she reached over to his left ear. She could feel that he did not love her. She was head over heels in love with him, but he was not reciprocating it back. Perhaps she wasn't giving him the right message for him to understand. She decided to try again a different way.

"Reid Kovacs, I'm yours," she whispered, her cheek against his. "Only yours," she said, one hand playing with the nape at the back of his neck. She moved back, her smile big. She felt so good being this close to him.

A different urge was happening. She looked at his lips. She ached to feel her lips onto his. Were his lips soft? She was striven to know. Her brown eyes dilated with the emotions building inside of her. She needed to have contact with him. She looked at his forest green eyes and back to his lips. Closing her eyes, she moved her head closer to his.

If he didn't know Bloom well, he would have darted for the exit faster than a seeker on a snitch. Just how strong was this stuff that she inhaled? She seemed a little glassy eyed or was that just him. Girls had cooties, he was slowly becoming convinced that was the case. He seemed to shirk and almost shrivel up at the contact, he couldn't leave the classroom because surely she would follow suit. Reid's face was burning up the whole time as he tried to avoid eye contact with the girl. Think Kovacs. He needed to think of a way to keep her busy while it wore off, if it wore off.

His stomach dropped at the thought it lasting for more than ten minutes. What if it lasted for an hour? What if it lasted forever? A small noise came from the boy's slightly parted lips; he really hoped not. Poor Bloom. Poor Ben. This whole time they had been this close, he wasn't able to make a sound. "S-secret? N-no it's okay, you don't have to." he seethed through gritted teeth. He could barely breathe with Bloom so close to him, his sheepish nature was barely allowing him to think properly. Why was she looking at him like that?

Something was on her mind and he had a feeling he wouldn't like it. As soon as she began moving towards him with closed eyes, his hand came up with its palms towards her. If she advanced, she'd end up kissing his palm instead. "Bloom, n-no. Look ..." He used his free hand to gently break her hold on him and move back for more distance. "You're not mine, you're Ben's and uh - Ben is yours." It was so cheesy it made him almost gag in his mouth. Reid continued backing up from her, hands still up in defense.

"You love Ben Eckenrode, not me. He's -" He hissed as he backed into one of the desks, causing it to screech just a bit from the impact. Yet for maximum coverage, Reid quickly moved behind it and placed his hands on the surface of it. Maybe he needed to jog her memory to snap her out of the potion's powers. "He's cool and nice and probably really funny. He's great at sports ... and honestly a really nice guy." Reid gestured towards himself in a matter-of-factly way. Was it going to be too far with what he said next?

He didn't know, he had to try. If he didn't and she remembered what she did, she might end up feeling worse. Man, he'd hate to do that to her. "I'm the guy who rejected you, remember? Broke your heart at the Owlery? It's kind of hard to like a guy who did that. That potion is really messing you up, Bloom." He clearly wasn't a future muggle lawyer because he was at the worst at convincing people. But maybe some of the words he said would get through to her.

Reid just hoped that she wouldn't end up hating him as a result. It was just hard even saying some of these things, he normally wouldn't be saying this at all. Sure he rejected her, but was he that bad for it? Right now, he needed to make himself out to be.

"Trouble usually finds me."
