My New Best Friend
Just entered Diagon Ally, and ready to get all of my supplies and books.
My mum walked along side me showing me all of the places that we pass by, I was very excited.
We went to Madam Malkins, Florish and Blotts, Ollivanders, Weasley's Wizard Weezes, Potage's Cauldron Shop, and all of those were for books, or robes or wands, but then I saw the one shop I had been waiting for the whole time, Magical Menagerie.
I was so excited I hadn't even realized that I had been holding my breath. I jumped up and down until we reached the doors, then finally I let out my breath and saw all of the animals before me. Cats streching, owls on posts, toads jumping, rats squeaking, foxes hunting, but then something caught my eye. Bright white, crouching, and ready to pounce on its prey, a mole, I looked at it carefully, watching its every move with my big amber eyes.
When the mole settled down, the wolf flicked its tail, then pounced, directly on top of the mole. Brynne looked at her mum, then the little white wolf, then back.
Her mum looked at her with raised eyebrows "You want a wolf?!" I nodded violently, "Yes! More than anything!"
Her mum tried persuading her into getting a cat, or even an owl, but I refused, all I wanted was a wolf.
Her mum sighed, then smiled, and finally said "Go on then, get your wolf!" then handed her some money.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I hugged her, and went over to the desk at the front.
She went over to the lady up front and said "Could I have the small wolf please?" The lady looked at me with raised eyebrows, just as my mum ad done, then she finally said after checking her money, "You know, nobody's ever wanted that wolf, I guess he just found a new best friend" Then she handed over the big moving ball of fur and put it in her arms, he yipped happily and nuzzled into her jumper.
Brynne looked at the lady "Thank you" then headed over towards the door, a wide smile on her face as she walked out the door with a new best friend.
and smiling wide as I walked out of Magical Menagerie craddling my new best friend.
