Stepping out of the bright green fire of the Floo Network from Corranado Manor to Diagon Alley, Luca brushed a small amount of soot from his lightweight white linen shirt. He had traveled by Floo powder many times in the past. However, it was still hard not to be disoriented by the spinning heat, and the sudden arrival and sensory overload of whatever noise awaits you at your destination. A quick moment before his first step was dedicated to gaining his composure, so he looked like the natural that he was at traveling the Floo Network.

He was acutely aware of how he presented himself and his family name in the general public. After a few steps to catch up with Lorenzo and Amelia, the heir buried his right hand in the corresponding pocket of his dark tailored trousers. It was a hot summer’s day in the Alley, so breathable attire that was still fashionable was necessary for comfort. Using his free hand to adjust the clean line of his trousers over his clean Oxford shoes, Luca finished catching up to his parents but stayed a step or two behind for independence.

Remaining a step or two behind his parents allowed him to take in their unspoken teachings, which he inferred through watching how they moved. Sometimes they moved with an unspoken authority over the room or the area they were in. Oftentimes they were recognized by other wizarding families or business associates and stopped in the street to discuss said business. Either way, he was constantly learning from them about the importance of legacy and keeping their family’s name at the forefront of the wizarding world.

The young wizard walked, excited for the day’s events. Amelia’s lessons in etiquette always worked their way to the front of his mind in these public social situations, so he occasionally offered a polite nod to a friendly face, or a moment of conversation when he was addressed. Between these fleeting moments of social obligation, the boy took in the world around him. While he made his way through the area, passing familiar stores, the sunlight caught a glimpse of his father’s watch that caught his attention. Looking down, he noticed the watch and the ring Harvey had offered him during last summer’s visit to the Barrows residence..

The morning light shone through the stairwell between Gringott’s and the other odd stores, and this gave way to a gentle breeze that wafted the smells of the Alley, sweet, savory, and sometimes bitter. The boy’s ears caught the sounds of families conversing, children playing, the sound of a nearby Apothecary, the chatter outside Gringotts, a street vendor, and his mother and father conversing with those who were likely business associates to them both.

@Luca Corranado
Burok had ushered Harvey to Diagon Alley first thing that morning. Their home was not far away, so the boy was spared from needing to use the Floo network. A fact that he had silently thanked Merlin for. Flying class during his first year had taught him quickly that he was not a fan of fast travel. While it was necessary from time to time, magical transportation often left him feeling a bit queasy and a little shaky on his feet. Becoming more comfortable with broom travel had helped some, but two feet securely planted on the ground was always preferred.

The boy's caretaker had left him outside of Gringotts, comfortable that the bank's security knew the family well and would intervene on his behalf if need be. Not that Diagon Alley was a dangerous place. If anything it was one of the more secure magical places in the UK and Harvey always felt at ease here. Outside of Hogwarts and his home, this was probably where he spent most of his time. Whether it be joining Burok for errands or visiting his grandfather at Gringotts, it was a perfect place for all of the magical peoples to commune and do business. With secrecy such a large part of every witch and wizards life, it always felt freeing when they could let their guard down for just a while. Here the people could dress as they want and celebrate their magic without the spying eyes of the muggles ruining it.

However, today was not for shopping or pleasure. Well, not his own anyways as Harvey had made plans to meet up with his good friend, Luca Corranado. Their purpose a bit of a mystery as his friend desired to visit the Magical Menagerie. Harvey had not taken the other boy as an animal lover and the idea of keeping a pet was foreign to the part-goblin. So...messy. Merlin knows that the boy had cursed the gods many a times as he lent rolled away animal hair on a regular basis. To think that their school was crawling with all forms of furry and slithery made him squirm, but Luca surely had a good reason. His friend was as logical and reasonable as he, so perhaps he was getting a new owl? Now there was a creature that made sense. They stayed in their own tower, fed themselves and served an important function. Harvey had to blink away the thoughts to keep himself from being distracted and retuned his eyes to the street ahead.

Like clockwork he would see Luca coming down the pathway just at the time he said his family would be there. Small legs carried him down the steps of Gringotts as he made himself known. "Luca! Hello!" Harvey made his way over and intercepted the family. The parents were busy in a conversation, so he would wait on a proper greeting and addressed Luca first. "The Magical Menagerie? I must say that I'm rather perplexed, but thank you again for the invite. It's good to see you. Should we wait on your parents or will they allow us to go alone?"
