Throughout his first two years at Hogwarts, Derek Alexander Jay never once questioned the wand that he bought. Derek, like most other wizarding students, believed that the wand was simply a tool for casting spells, and that he should be focusing his time and effort on studying and mastering his spells, rather than on his trusted companion.

It was not until his third year, while studying in the common room one stormy night, that Derek pondered if there was a better way to modify or alter ones wand in order to improve its performance. Why, if each one was different, should it not continue to be modified in order to better suit its owner? Why did witches and wizards willingly accept that their wand would remain the same over the years, rather than trying to enhance it and make it better?

This question consumed Derek's thoughts for what seemed like weeks. He became obsessed with the idea of wand-making and spent long hours poring over the Hogwarts library, searching for any scrap of information he could find on the construction, magic, materials, and art of wand-making.

The more he read, the more consumed he became, even going as far as to experiment on broken and old wands piling up in the school's hidden attic. Derek took detailed notes on the history of each wand and the techniques its original maker may have used, and he began to get a general idea of what could be done to improve upon it. It was around this point that Derek began to realize how knowledgeable he had become in the field of wand-making; how he could see small changes that could be made to the design and construction in order to improve durability, performance, magic, and even the bond between wand and witch or wizard.

Derek was quite proud of himself, albeit a little surprised, as the idea that began as a simple curiosity in his third year had now grown into a full-fledged passion in his fifth. Though he had yet to actually craft a wand of his own, Derek's talent, time, and dedication marked him as worthy of being a wand-maker in his own right

Derek, however, did not start down this path for the sake of fame or fortune, but rather for the sheer enjoyment and love of the craft. He believed that there was a perfection in every wand, and that it was up to him to help bring out that perfection in his wand-making peers.

Olivia grew up in a household where magic existed but it was not used directly infront of her most of her childhood. Maybe because her parents were afraid that Olivia might think its normal for parents to do magic and confess that in her muggle school. So whenever her parents used their wands it excited her. Then again for some one who dont understand what a wand is it just looks magical. But for someone who knows exactly what a wand is its more than just magical. Its everything.
Olivia is now in hogwards a place where she can study about wands as much as she want. Hence olivia tend to spend most of her free time in the library reading about intresting wands and wand interiors. Anything but charms homeworkd. The more she read about wands the more she liked her own wand. 26,7 cm holly wood and phoenix feather. The wand that chose her. And the more she liked her own wand the more she wanted to know about it. The more she learned about it the more explored other wands.
This thing is surely magical. She learned about every wand she could find. The more she read about wands the more she realised the art of making wands. It eventually became her habit that whenever someone new speaks with her she will look at their wands. And if the interaction is normal enough she will explain everything about it to the random stranger that she just met. Technically she was doing them a favour. They should know what they are handling and how powerful they are. Olivia thought about the interaction she had with Olivander's quite often when she read about wands. He is for sure the best wandmaker. Everything he had said about the wand choosing the witch and the wands interiors and the way he remembered every wand he had ever sold started to make sense to Olivia.
"I too want to be a wand maker. I want to learn about it. Its basically the equivalent to owning a dragon and specialising in dragons. Its so small and looks harmfull but they are the most powerful tool for a powerful wizard. The wand is not what makes the wizard. Its the bravery. But the wand surely helps. I will not stop reading about wands until there is not a single thing about wands that I dont know."

Name Of the Ability you are applying for: Muggle Condition
Describe Why it Fits your Character:
Reducio
Muggle Life. It was perfect, especially when your family has a net worth of more than 37,515,000 Pound Sterling. Private schools, private chefs, whatever you want you get, and the house. Especially the house. a 3,500 square foot giant that can be a hotel if you want to. But when a weird letter from a weird magical school things changed. If you have read Andy Loggin's diary, then you will know that he was FORCED to go. But after a year of grinding and studying in the magical school he was "Forced" To go to, it became fun, even though Andy's grades where not... exeptional like they where in the muggle world. He might not be the best Quidditch player, but he exels in muggle sports. He might not be able to read ancient runes well, but he can speak over 4 muggle languages. If any normal wizard came into Andy's house, the wizard will be amazed on how well a Hogwarts student can use muggle items. He might not be able to fix anything with his wand, but he can almost perfectly use muggle tools such as drills, screwdrivers and hammers to build a couch if he wants too. It is almost a hobby! Andy, also cannot duel with magic for his life, but he wrestle, box, and has a blue belt in martial arts. I guess this is what happens when you are the richest family in Perth! You can learn anything! Any spell Andy doesn't remember, he does remember the fighting move or wrestle strategy. Let's just say, Muggle life treats Andy better than any magic can. Overall, when Andy has any sort of problem, weather it is in the muggle world or in Hogwarts, weather it is how to solve this geometry problem or how to fix this bench, or what book to read, Andy's first reaction isn't to reach for his wand. Weather it is a simple problem where a normal wizard will wave a wand and it is done, or a big one were even magic will have to work double overtime, when Andy has to choose between his wand and all of the spells he knows, and a set of muggle tools or even his own brain, he will be on the muggle side any day, any month, any year, any decade, and any century. Andy deserves this ability more than anyone in the whole wide world.

-Please remove the lines: “I think that Andy should get the ability Muggle Condition because he, himself is a muggle born, thrives in the muggle world, and practically still lives in it even though he is in the Magical School of Hogwarts. “ and “Andy should have the Muggle condition ability because he might not have the best Magical abilities, but he thrives in the Muggle world.”

Per the instructions in the form, we are looking for why Andy embodies this (which you’ve done a good job of including in the rest of the application), not why he deserves or should have it.

Nancy Todd has always been perceptive. She noticed things that others didn't, and she heard things that were not meant for her ears. At first, it started out of simple curiosity. She would explore something she usually wouldn't, which would lead her to a new discovery, or she would listen in on a conversation between two people she didn't know, and a useful bit of information would present itself to her. She felt a pull toward certain things... Some of them worked to her advantage, others just got her into trouble. Nevertheless, she was far more perceptive than many other kids, and even adults.

With time, this sense grew stronger. Maybe it was the experience she gained, or maybe just more confidence in herself and in following her gut, but it was special. What others seemed to miss, she noticed – things that, in the big picture, might have seemed unimportant, but with a bit of simple logic (to her), they brought a new view to the whole picture. Those details made up everything, and by seeing them in her head, she would paint a whole scene of how things went. She was like an investigator of sorts.

Maybe it was because she had grown so accustomed to the murder mysteries and detective books she read in her free time – the pattern of mystery and discovery just pulled her in. Or maybe, by watching people from the sidelines, she learned the patterns of their behavior and her keen intuition was simply subconscious. Either way, she was never one to bullshit. She didn’t like charmers either. She seemed to be the only one in the world who saw through their lies and sucking up. Whenever her mom brought some guy home for dinner, she was always the first to call him out on his lies. Most of the time it wasn’t even that she knew, she just had a feeling.

It’s not something she can consciously control or use to her advantage. It’s just a sense that comes over her sometimes, and honestly, she doesn’t even notice it that much. All she’s aware of is her ability to see through other people’s lies or tricks in her surroundings. Without even understanding it, she uses this to get the information she needs out of people or from the environment. She always seems to find a hidden button she can just push, or a crack in the floor that hides a secret. Sometimes, a strange feeling just pulls her toward it.

Hogwarts was receiving a special guest lecturer today. A Magizoologist who specialised in Hippogriff handling. When there had been a call out for volunteers AJ's hand had shot into the air before he'd even finished listening to the question. So excited was he at the prospect of seeing one of these beautiful beasts for himself.

Now Dragons were obviously his foremost passion and his subject of specialisation within Care of Magical Creatures, but that did not mean the young Wizard had no care for the other many magical beasts that populated the Wizarding world. He had a passion for studying everything from Abraxan to Zouwu.

And Hippogriffs, Hippogriffs were simply awe-inspiring, even in the pages of textbooks.

But now he was volunteering to approach one face to face, without even thinking twice about it. Anxiety welled in his stomach just a little bit. They were noble beasts, but if he made a wrong move he could get far more than his pride hurt. And yet, he did not withdraw. Did not retract his offer to volunteer. Because for every uncomfortable pang of nerves in his heart there was an equal amount of excitment.

The Magizoologist brought forth the Hippogriff, a magnificent beast of Roan coat and plumage. Introduced it as Squall. Squall had a rope looped around his neck, the other end tied to a tree. A precaution that would not do much if the Hippogriff truly wanted to attack something, or someone.

AJ picked up the sack of meat cuts that sat nearby. He didn't approach immediately, he took a few moments to awe at the large beast in front of him first. And he would never presume to toss it food or something ridiculous like that. No, this mighty beast had to be treated with utmost respect, he knew that.

As the Magizoologist watched on AJ approached slowly, keeping his gaze locked on the Hippogriff's own without so much as blinking. He bows, not lowering his head, keeping his focus locked on Squall. The bow is deep, reverent, acknowledging that this creature could very well rip him in two if it so chose. And then, he waited. Letting Squall make the first move, letting the Hippogriff decide if he was friend or food.

Squall squawks curiously, head tilting left and right as he assesses AJ. Taking a few curious steps closer, it sniffs, then nudges his arm with his powerful beak. Not affection, assessment.

It regards the bag of meat in his hand with wariness. All the while AJ keeps still, keeping his eyes on Squall, not daring to disrespect the Hippogriff by looking away.

Then, as if finally satisfied Squall squawks again, beak clicking a few times as he nudges AJ again, causing the young wizard to wobble ever so slightly. But the Hippogriff had made its decision now, AJ was permitted to be in his presence.

With that established AJ tentatively reaches into the bag of meat, picks out the largest and tastiest cut he can find. And holds it out for Squall before tossing it up for the Hippogriff to snatch out of the air with its powerful talons and rip into with satisfaction.

AJ watches, his grin wide. Only to be snapped out of his delight by Squall nudging him once more. The Hippogriff chirps impatiently. He still had a whole bag of meat in his hand after all.

With a delighted chuckle AJ obliges, tossing meat cut after meat cut until the Hippogriff had his fill. Perhaps one day he'd ride upon one of these magnificent creatures. But he didn't dare push his luck yet.

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):

Since Strike had pretty successful hit wizard assassin parents and they raised him to be the same, he was taught, trained, and tested from a young age to be, among other things, very observant. He was taught to be quick in both mind and body so he could follow the movements, words, thoughts, motives, and actions of other things and beings who were quick as well.

His mother focused on training him in the physical aspects such as being fast enough to keep up with targets on foot and even in the air on brooms. She would make obstacle courses for him, challenging him to use his wits, reflexes, agility, and dexterity to get through them. Since he was somewhat on the small side for a child and he didn't show signs of being able to use magic until the age of 10, Strike had to hone his senses, especially his sight, in order to overcome his mother's challenges. Watching her and what she did was much of how he learned to do those same things himself rather than simply being told how to do it or reading about it. She wasn't a very patient woman, either, so she would often only show him how to do something once or else he would have to risk her wrath if he had to ask her to show him how to do something a second time. That was how he got particularly good at observing things and became quick at processing what he was seeing.

Strike's father, meanwhile, was more about cunning, deception, and psychological manipulation, but that involved good observation to learn from him as well. Whether it was slipping someone his business card, noticing tells in a poker game or during a business deal, or catching the slightest changes in micro-expressions and interpreting their meanings, most of what Strike learned from his father had to be observed. This was because his father, despite not having the temper his mother did when she was asked to show something again, couldn't outright tell Strike what he was doing, why he did it, or how Strike could do it himself while he was working. Thus, picking up skills from his father relied more heavily on being able to observe, even, than picking up the skills he did from his mother.

Furthermore, due to being raised to believe his worth and the amount he deserves to be loved correlates directly to how useful he is and how much he does for others, Strike watches people very carefully to try to anticipate their needs and what they like and dislike before they can even tell him. As a result, he's become very attentive to other people in general in order to people-please.

His aunt works in specialized crafting and had her own shop in the diagonal alley specific for exactly that, and she was really handy in transfiguration. She always came by with the most amazing gift for the family that Eban adored so much about her doing, that he always asked his mother to go to aunty's shop to let him learn about how transfigurations work.
When he was at age of eight years old he got the interest of learning transfigurations, even so he was busy learning about potions, he didn’t mind learning new skill like transfigurations either along side potion making, even so he felt so useless of learning, he was at least committed to learn so dearly, even so it takes longer and takes time for him to stick with the ability for have that information sticking in his head, but it does in the end.

So one morning at age of eight he was running down the stairs for breakfast with his parents and sat right over for her mother and asked “Mom?! Can we go to the diagonal alley today? more of, can we visit Aunt Yannifer today? I have a lot of questions for her.” His mom looked up at him with a bit of confusion in her face “Oh?! What type of questions? Is there anything I can answer?!” Eban looked puzzled for a moment and thought for a moment “well, it is about her work as an expert in her field with transfiguration and how things work like how can you duplicate things but not food. especially when you can help with starving people in poor villages in different countries that don't have the money to get the necessities like that. But so much more, but I’m also interested in learning more about transfiguration and want to be a head of others at hogwarts” he said calmly and eager to learn so much about transfiguration. “Well, about the food, you really can’t do that type of transfiguration, you can not create from thin air: You cannot conjure fresh, nutritious meals or ingredients from a blank space or empty air, it isn’t possible to do. But you can summon food if you know where it is, multiply or duplicate food you already have, or alter/cook pre-existing ingredients, if you get what I mean.” She said calmly toward him, as he nodded to understand the information she was saying, but did it stick right away, no it did not. “But we can indeed go visit Yannifer if you like to talk more about transfiguration with her if you like. . . . of course you like to do that. Eat up and get ready so we can go visit her then.” She said and it wasn’t hard to please Eban when he heard it and almost choked on his food because he ate as quickly as he could so he could get ready faster.

So they went to aunt Yannifer multiple times a week, but also his aunt came by frequently to visit Eban, especially at weekends when she realised that he was interested in her field of work at such a young age. Did he get it at the first years to learn and understand the transfigurations method, absolutely not. But at least he didn’t give up learning and understanding the atoms and physics and all that needed learning about transfigurations. when it got closer to the first year for Eban he still didn’t understand everything but at least enough to get a lot of good grades already. over summer he spent almost all summer reading and learning about transfiguration as needed before school starts again. But it got a lot of help from his aunt Yannifer to get better in understanding the field. Of course he had a lot of questions related to transfigurations but he understood it in the end, even so it took time to understand.

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):

Sol is part-Veela, but one has to wonder if that part of her isn’t actually larger than it really is (or officially is). She is certainly a very beautiful child: skin as fair as porcelain, blond hair wavy like wheat, and captivating hazel eyes. No matter her expression, she remains simply beautiful. But there’s much more to her than mere beauty. She exudes something a little different. Once your gaze falls on her, it’s very hard to look away. Worse still, if your eyes meet hers, it’s impossible to look away until she breaks eye contact. There’s something mystical and mesmerizing about her that’s very hard to pin down. The older she gets, the truer this becomes. It really makes you wonder just how far her charm will extend once she’s an adult.

It’s no surprise that she exudes such magnetism, since all the women in her family are like that. Her Veela grandmother undoubtedly passed on a piece of the goddess Aphrodite to her daughters. Sol’s mother, Naomí, is breathtaking. It’s said, in fact, that she had many suitors and received declarations of love every day during her time at Beauxbatons. It’s possible that this is a bit of an exaggeration for the sake of the legend, but the family knows full well that there’s a great deal of truth to it. Naomí’s two sisters are all the more captivating because they put on such a show, as eager for attention as they are. Salomé, Sol’s older sister, reveals more of herself day by day. Her beauty has, in fact, increased tenfold since puberty, as if a part of her Veela genes had awakened.

Sol, too, is following in this same vein. The young part-Veela is no exception to the feminine lineage of her mother’s family. One might even wonder if her beauty and magnetism will eventually surpass those of her older sister ; who, mind you, has nothing to complain about in that regard.

Sol is blossoming like the most beautiful and coveted of wildflowers. As a defining moment in her puberty, the witch is undergoing physical, psychological, and physiological changes that she doesn’t necessarily understand, but which definitely seem to work in her favor. She knows that most people turn to look at her as she passes by, and that she leaves no one indifferent. At her age, almost no one would see her as an object of desire. It’s not about that, but rather a morbid curiosity, a need to rest one’s eyes on something so sweet and pleasing.

Jada Blake wasn’t built for quidditch. She isn’t particularly strong or fast and would honestly probably be much better off duelling. That aside, she’d taken to the sport. She loved flying around the pitch with her team and was very excited when she got moved to first string. Her enthusiasm, though, didn’t make up for her lack of experience. She’d seen others play before but hadn’t played much herself before joining. As the Slytherin team lost their matches time and time again, often ending with herself being carried off to the hospital wing, she slowly began to believe that it might be her fault.

As the end of her first school year came around, she began to partake in more and more matches outside of the official school system, playing with different people of different ages and feeing her way around new moves as well as different positions. Although she might have been more adept as a seeker, the thrill of scoring kept her determined to stay seated as a chaser.

June faded into July and students each went their ways for the holidays. For Jada, that meant heading back to their family’s townhouse in London. Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t fly because of all the muggles in their neighborhood that she’d grown up with. She’d begged and begged her father for them to spend some time elsewhere. Somewhere where she could fly without worrying about being seen by an unsuspecting muggle. Finally, he conceded, taking the two of them to a comfortable farmhouse in the countryside far away from others, even muggles, where her mother was to join them once she returned from a business trip.

Eager to practice, Jada picked up a quaffle from her newly bought set and her broom and tried to practice. She realized quickly however, that you need two people to pass a ball. Who would she call other than her dearest father. Once he joined her, he coached her in some of the basics of passing and scoring technique as well as some manoevers that might be useful. One week stretched to multiple which turned to a month. Over this time Jada would get up before sunrise to practice, running tips, strategy and techniques over and over until she was comfortable with them.

As the month of august came around, it was clear that she’d shown much improvement. Hopefully it would be enough to help them win at least one game this season.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Perfectionist
Describe why this fits your character:
Reducio
Since Tes grew up, she understood that life was not something to be rushed- well that was most likely from her family whom all perfected the art of being perfect.
Her parents both taught her how valuable of a skill it was, a lot of her upbringing centered aroun an important part: perfection.
For the Cadell, being perfect is not an impossible task and only doable for highly determined individuals.
Where others relied on instinct and immediate thinking, she approached life with careful patience and precision, and an extraordinary attention to detail. Early in her magical education, she experienced the consequences of imperfection such as mispronouncing spells, rushed wand movements, and spells that rebounded unpredictably. Rather than discouraging her, these moments made her want to improve to be the best version she can- obsessively.
Tes began dedicating long hours to refining her immense knowledge. She would practise incantations repeatedly until each syllable had their time in the spotlight. Wand movements became a discipline of its own; every flick, swish, and pause was rehearsed until it became second nature. She studied not only how spells worked, but why they failed analysing mistakes, correcting them, and repeating the process until failure became increasingly rare.
Over time, this dedicated approach distinguished her from her peers. In lessons, her spells were mostly stable and efficient than the rest of her peers.
This perfectionism extends beyond techniques. Tes has developed a conscience that refuses to accept magic done without careful thinking- or anything in general. She prepares herself mentally before casting. Even under pressure and stressful situation, she resists the urge to rush, trusting her abilities instead and fully welcoming her magic. Overall, you could say she hates failure beyond everything else in this world.
As a result of her discipline, Tes has effectively decreased the risk of critical spell failure. Her spells may not always be the fastest, but they are executed with care and intention.
Tes embodies the perfect Perfectionist: a talented and ambitious witch who has transformed her mistakes into control through discipline and determination over the years.
For her, perfectionism isn’t a talent to brag about, it’s something.. normal. Her whole family were perfectionist long before her, it’s a talent that runs in the family and she believes she has it in her blood long before it truly manifested itself during her first year at Hogwarts, where she hopes to flourish this skill into something even more powerful.
