Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball
Although he had promised not to leave Jake's side, Jake did not promise to leave his, and the older Hufflepuff did not even notice as the little badger prepared himself for his grand sprint out of the ball. If he'd known, he would have been proud of the boy for finally having the guts to do something other than stand there - but for now, he was just frustrated at how badly his spells seemed to be shooting off course.
His charm flew past the mosp and nearly hit poor @Slade Deol - the Hufflepuff who had fired the errant shot called out an apology to him, his cheeks red. "Sorry!" There wasn't much more to say than that - he'd get them next time, but maybe he ought to give helping a rest and let the bug-punchers take care of the rest of the extermination. They seemed to be having an easy time dodging those vicious stingers, and a few moments after his spell missed, the mosp was crisped and crushed into a fine flour. He lowered his wand to his side, shrugging. They'd be fine without him.
There was a mosp dancing in the air, immobilized by a well-placed tarantallegra from the Banshee girl, who passed out moments later. Well, at least she was useful for a second - that more than made up for the slap and stupid comments, as well as the ringing pain in his eardrums from all that screeching. Unfortunately, what he saw next deafened him to any sort of empathy or reason. He was seeing red, and if this were a cartoon, he'd be at the point where his brain boils over and steam starts to shoot out of his ears. Alan was trying to save the mosp from its peril, attempting to negate the one contribution that the apologetic idiot girl had made to this entire fight, and putting her in immediate danger of the mosp's massive stingers. George knew that Gryffindors liked to play hero, but this defied all rationality. For once, he was truly glad the sorting hat had placed him elsewhere.
"Alan, you've had one class on them and you think you're the mosp whisperer?! MOVE!" George raised his wand again, aiming for the mosp that @Alan Vanes had been so delicately attempting to calm down. Someone cast a red-sparks spell. Someone else had aimed an incendio at the beast. If all these spells went off, this could become quite the pyrotechnic show.

Mosp #10@Grace Mint, right after successfully hitting the mosp with her spell, got particularly upset with George Henry, and as she threatened to hit him again, she bit down hard on her bottom lip, that bled a little bit. Probably because of the stress, the tension and everything mixed together, that small amount of blood looked to Grace like a flowing river, trailing down her chin; her mind, playing tricks on her, made the poor girl feel extremely dizzy and after she carefully sat on the floor, Grace fainted. @Zykeal Lane kept looking around the room and when his eyes landed on Grace, he felt the need to check on her and make sure she was okay. But before he could do that, he needed to take care of the Purple Mosp that had followed him inside the room. The young Gryffindor successfully hit the mosp with the red sparks, but the insect, instead of being distracted by it, became quite upset with Zykeal; as he went to check on the fainted girl, the mosp lunged towards him, its stingers ready to stab, but the boy was quicker and managed to move out of the way.Zykeal's attempt at casting Periculum

He pointed his wand towards the dinging mosp, and casted his Finite Incantatem, hoping then to manage to calm down the angry insect.
Unfortunately for the boy, he didn't manage to cast the spell, and his wand only lightly trembled before becoming still again. This didn't dissuade him from trying to calm down the agitated bug, using soothing words and a calm attitude, but unfortunately (because of this being his second action, and because calming presence is a statistical effect that only affects allies, and not enemies) his plan did not work out, and the mosp lunged towards him.Alan's attempt at casting Finite Incantatem

Attempting Interaction with: Mosp #10 and @Grace MintNote: Permission granted by @Grace Mint for Jo to drag to her to safety.

Jo muttered a Japanese curse under her breath when it began to snow. Why. Why? The spell didn't seem to slow the bugs down one bit, and now the ground was probably slippery. Not to worry - an Incendio or two would probably dry that right up. Ugh. They were going to die, weren't they. Weren't they.
"Can we stop changing the temperature of the room, please? It's lovely as is, I promise."
Would hypothermia or a careless fireball be their demise? Why were her peers so hell-bent on self-destruction? It was all a mystery to the poor girl. Nobody had been stung by the mosps yet, so that was definitely a nice little silver lining. Emphasis on "yet", of course.
"I call dibs on one of that thing's stingers!" She called out to the group as the mosp she had Flipendoed a bit earlier fell to the ground dead thanks to the relentless attacks of the other students.
At first it seemed as if the blonde could hold her own in the fight. Jo watched with admiration as she cast a lovely Tarantallegra on the creature, thoughtfully providing the group with some entertainment to pass the time until their painful yet inevitable doom. But then, out of nowhere, the Ravenclaw simply toppled to the floor as if the life force of the mosp was directly connected to her or something. Fainting! The audacity! To simply decide that one would not continue to fight, especially after one had just been defended by another! It didn't matter that one of the stupid bugs was dead - there were two others.
With a sigh and a roll of her eyes, Jo lightly clamped her teeth over her wand as she grabbed the blonde's limp form and, grabbing her from behind by the torso, began to drag the girl from the room, all while uttering in her native language a string of vicious words that could make even a hearty sailor blush. She could only hope the Ravenclaw's dress was not too expensive - internally she could not help but cringe as the flowy and flowery tulle (or was it something else? Jo had no idea; she was never an expert at arts and crafts) dragged across the floor. Bloody hell! Helping the damsel in distress, was she? What had gotten into her? House pride, apparently. House pride that would get her killed one day, if not today. (Probably today.) Well, now that she was going to do the whole knight in shining armor thing, she might as well as kill a mosp or two along the way. Gryffindor was ruining her, yeah, yeah, blah blah blah.
Kneeling as she shifted the unconscious girl's weight to her left hand, Jo freed her wand hand once more, transferring her wand from her mouth to her hand. Blue lipstick smeared onto her palm, but she barely noticed it. The knockback jinx had worked on the other bug, so it had to work on this one, and it was the safest spell she knew. No fire or ice. Just simple magic. Jo pointed her wand at the insect, closing one eye as she carefully aimed for its wing. Knock that bitch right out of the sky, she thought, shaking away all of the other thoughts that always came rushing in whenever she held a wand. Or even when she wasn't. There wasn't any time for those thoughts today. Someone needed help.
"Flipendo!" She snarled, her voice low and guttural due to the strain on her diaphragm from the girl's weight. She wasn't sure how long she could keep this up. That blonde needed out - now.
Action: Casting Flipendo at the wing of Mosp #10 while dragging Grace away.

He heard the voices, especially George's who was being quite angry with him as it seemed but it was no longer in his control. Alan had to try, he just had to. He had to make this right, somehow he would have to make it possible and he could not just sit by and watch as all of this unfold. He couldn't, could he? Attacking the mosps? Was that what they would have to do? Alan was not all too sure about it, he did not want to believe that this was the only way to solve the situation and for some reason he wanted to show them and prove it. They were animals, right? They were aggressive and oh he knew that, but that would not make it right to kill them.
But as he stepped closer to the mosp in an attempt to calm it, he could see the change happen almost instantaneously as the mosp lunged forward right at him. With widening eyes he would jump back as the stinger of the giant insect was about to hit him. He was not calculating the moment right and while he avoided he had not taken the slippery snow into account as his feet would slip away as he stumbled backwards with a yelp. His body was pulled back as he fell to the ground but at least the landing had not been all too bad due to the snow that had made him fall in the first place. The snow that he himself had created and which had been going on for a while already, another time he had failed and now he sat there and could do nothing but stare at the mosp, wide-eyed and praying it would not strike at him again. How did they go wrong?
But the strike never came, because in the very moment the giant creature was hit with another dancing feet spell that would probably make the thing lose all kind of orientation and control over its limbs. Then he saw it, a jet of flames lunged towards the creature and Alan wanted to scream for them to stop the spell and jump forwards. And while his body moved ever so slightly, he seemed frozen. No word ever left his lip in that very moment as he could only watch the spectacle that would unfold as the creature was hit and let out a horrible, deafening screech. Alan would ball his hands into fists as they halfway buried themselves into the soft fallen snow. The coldness should have bit his skin but he felt a little numb as he watched the last of the red mosps fall to the ground right in front of him. The flames still seemed to flicker on its dead body as the biting cold made the fire die out. Heart beating against his rib cage and blood rushing in his ears he stared at its lifeless body in shock. "How could all of this have happened? How did it-" Alan could not draw his gaze away from the defeated bug as he could feel a familiar sting behind his eyes but he fought the feeling back before the first tear could show. Not here, not now and not ever should he cry; he was a Gryffindor after all and had to be strong.

[font=Times New Roman]Speaking to @Alan Vanes | Interacting with Mosp #10 and @Grace MintThe successful cast of the spell that he tried to use as a distraction upon the mosp only seemed to annoy it. Zykeal caught from the corner of his golden hues the quick shift of movement from the flying creature, surprisingly, he was able to sidestep the attack of the mosp and he just let it zoom by him as the time being. Eyes trailed the creature and he decided to go back to ignoring the creature. If someone of his caliber could dodge the overgrown mosquito, he didn't understand why there were so many injured students. Though he might be quick with his spellwork, his movement was generally stiff when it came to dodging such things.
A little huff of a sigh came across him then, having approached the fallen Grace and checked with the back of his hand over the girl's mouth to see if she was still breathing. It seemed she was, he felt a little relieved, this was at least an acceptable outcome of the situation that he feared might be worse than it was. When he stood then, he looked over towards Alan for a moment and offered a little smile to the boy he had once collided heads within a game of Tug-Of-War, "Heya," he said aloud, quite nonchalantly. "You okay?" he questioned, seeing a little swell of emotion build up within the boy for a quick moment before he suppressed it.
Unfortunately, he figured the mosp was going to turn once more again towards him so before he'd hear a response from Alan, he'd turn to face the direction in which the mosp had flew past him. "Anyone have a fly swatter?" he mused out loud once more, thinking that he shouldn't have dropped his table leg club when he had left the pitch. Oddly enough, the series of events that unfolded took his mind off the failed date that he had just experienced. It wasn't the best of nights for this young first year, he'd been expecting so much more, but alas, Hogwarts proved that always something had to go wrong.
That ivory-colored aspen wood wand was still settled within his palm of his hand, gripped lightly as if it was a natural extension of his fingertips. Another figure emerged behind him to where the girl was passed out, some girl decided to drag the girl away, hopefully to safety. It was probably this lapse in focus upon the creature that would cause an opening for it to once again try and go for him. It didn't matter, as long as the creature was focused upon him and none of the other students then it seemed he was happy with the outcome of the situation. Unlike how he previously was when he had entered the changing rooms, his true personality of a Gryffindor decided to show itself at this time. For better or worse.

It turned out that George's tarantallegra wasn't necessary - Lucille had the right idea as well, a blast of flames hitting the mosp and knocking it out of the air as it danced to the grave with a grim screech. Well, that wouldn't make Alan feel any better, but it was an immeasurable boost to George. The less of them there were alive, the safer the humans could be, and that was hardly any sacrifice at all. It could be in their nature to do these things, but that didn't make them any less culpable. What they did was their own fault, and these were the consequences.
"Better ice than fire!" George assured @Jo Morgan as she mentioned the change in temperature. Snow in April wasn't a welcome sight, but it did stop his worries about the place catching on fire. It was cold and wet in the change rooms thanks to Alan's strange choice in spells. Goosebumps were raised on both of George's bare legs, his skirt kilt still providing nothing for shelter. The boy let out a breath, shivering as he tried to warm his hands on the exhale. "I need my shorts on before pieces start freezing off..."
Alan was laying in the snow, likely giving himself an icy butt worse than the one George was experiencing from the draft. The Gryffindor seemed to have frozen solid as a result - not moving aside from the subtle squeezing of his hands into fists, his face stiff as he held back tears. Why did George have to pick friends like this? Jake, too, had gotten stuck between staying and running away. Alan, too, had tried and failed to pick an alternative. Why was it that only Jack had any idea how to keep his head cool and do something with himself? The warm, fuzzy feeling that had come from being under the Gryffindor's protection faded away, lost amid the numbing cold.
Before he could start shouting at the Gryffindor to get up, a more immediate threat buzzed through the air toward @Zykeal Lane. The young Hufflepuff flicked his wand forward again, tracing the mosp's path through the air. "Watch out!" he called to Zykeal, warning him of the impending danger. It didn't occur to him that someone would want to just sit and take two stingers through the flesh. Hoping to stop the bug before that could happen, George shouted the incantation to his favorite spell. "Tarantallegra!"

↓ Outfit ↓Adonis internally cheered as his spell hit another mosp once again, causing to be engulfed by the flames that came from his wand. It was encouraging for him to say the least after successfully killing two mosps so far. He was ready for and wanted more on his way to come towards him, daring them to try him and see what he would make of the mosps. Bloodthirsty almost to rid of these mosps, it was like there was an unknown side to him that was teeming with the hunger to kill more of these.
He then turned his attention to look at the others, watching as a Ravenclaw girl made one of the mosps begin to dance with her charm. That was until that mosp went for Alan in which he dodged it's attack. but was quickly shot down by another Dancing Charm and Incendio that inevitably ended it right then and there. Well then. That was something else. As much as he wanted to help the others, should he? They seemed to had it handled now with this one last mosp after getting rid of two others. Right? Donnie was pretty sure they could get the others out of the changing rooms and escape from the wrath of the mosp that they were all attacking. The other seemed to be harmless and just minding it's own business but the one they were all attacking? F in the chat for that one, it was going down soon most likely. Although, only two of them seemed to cast while protecting the Ravenclaw girl. They most definitely had this control by now.
Not to mention the snowflakes that was pouring down on them. That much was annoying too no thanks to Alan, of course. With one shaky breath, Adonis made his decision in what he was going to do. That was to try and leave the changing rooms to head over to the main pitch to see how things were going on over there. He hoped it wasn't worse than it was here but if it was, then he was ready to help wherever he was needed. So, the Slytherin boy turned on his heels and attempted to leave the changing rooms in a hurry towards the main area of the ball.Action: Attempting to leave the Changing Rooms to head to the main area of the ball.

Slade ran towards the mosp, fist cocked back, his mind racing "Oh man! What am I doing, this is a giant freaking bug!! To late to stop now, I got to put everything I got in to this" As he ran up on the mosp, he threw his fist into the carcass of the bug, and felt it sink into the body as he put his back in to that punch he felt as if he released all his energy on it. The mosp was pushed back with that punch, he looked at the mosp and then at his fist in disbelief. He felt the snow, fall from the ceiling, prick his skin like a thorn bush. He was heating up, probably from the adrenaline pumping through him, he felt strong, like All Might or Vegeta, after hitting their opponents. “Maybe I should called out a saying in some manner. Like Detroit Smash, or Slade Super Punch or something, that would have been cool.” He thought to himself. Will edit based on responses.
He was shaking all over, unsure of what he had done was real or not he looked over to @Jo Morgan who was catching her breath, and then back at the bug, but in the instance he was turning his head he noticed a purple pulse fly towards him. Narrowly jumping out of the way, he hit the floor and scraped his hands in the process. He got up and dusted himself off, shaking still and feeling the heat pulse in hands from scraping them, Slade looked towards where the spell came from when he noticed a boy yell out to him "Sorry". With all the confusion going on he couldn't tell if the boy was being sincere, he probably was. A little choked about what happened he yelled back at the boy @George Henry "Dude! A little warning next time! Apology accepted though!”
'These students need to be careful when casting these spells, I get we are in a dire situation here, but casting blindly or carelessly can be super dangerous! Who knows what would have happened if that would have hit me?”. Yet he understood everyone may be in a panic, hell, he felt a bit of panic and some fear, but people were in trouble and he was wanting to help where he could.
He looked back at the mosp that he attacked, and noticed that a boy had run in front of one of the mosps and tried to cast something on it but ended up missing, and for some odd reason it looked like he was shielding the bug at the same time and talking it down? But the mosp came at the boy who looked older a bit older. "What are you doing? Get away from it!! Run!!” Slade yelled at the boy @Alan Vanes waving his arms wildly. The boy fell to the floor and mosp was getting closer to him, Slade decided to run towards him hopefully to distract the bug. "I'm not gonna make it!" . Just then, the girl that was helping the blonde one that collapsed early on, had cast a spell and watched as the mosp caught fire and burned to ground, in front of the feet of the boy.
He looked towards the girl "Holy!" He exclaimed bewildered at the spell she had cast. ”That was badass!!" @Lucille Williams He was glad that it went down, this was getting to crazy. He looked at the boy as he was getting up. "Are you ok?"he asked "What were you trying to do?"@Alan Vanes. He seemed unresponsive, almost like he was frozen, understandably so , something died right in front of him that almost attacked him.
Slade started to looked around for something to defend himself, realizing that an up close approach may not be the smartest idea. He noticed @Jo Morgan dragging the blonde girl away, to a safe corner, He saw her point her wand at a wasp that was headed for another boy, and hit it with a spell. The mosp went straight for her, Slade watched in horror as the mosp stabbed Jo. Just then the boy who shot a spell at him fired one at the bug and it started to dance. Slade forgot about everything and ran towards the mosp, that was now dancing, fist cocked again and screamed at the mosp "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" attempting to hit the mosp!
Action: Attacking mosp #10 after wards find a shirt or something to help stop the bleeding on Jo. Got permission from @Grace Mint to help.

No good deed goes unpunished, and the giant bug headed straight for her, stingers raised. So this was what heroics led to. She should have seen this coming. Perhaps it was subconscious self-sabotage - Jo had needed to go to the hospital wing for a personal reason. Even so, this outcome was far from ideal.
The girl could raise her arm to shield herself or try to run away. Maybe she could try to cast a spell in a last-ditch effort to save herself, but it was all for nothing and her mind went numb as the mosp slammed into her.
Jo remembered reading in a survival guide once that getting stabbed didn't actually hurt. That the body's defense mechanisms would kick in and shut out the pain- she would only know she had been stabbed when her hand came away from her dress bloodied and she collapsed to the ground.
Whoever had written that had obviously not been stabbed by anything with venom. Pain shot through Jo torso and bloomed into her entire body as the toxins swam through her bloodstream.
She screamed - first out of fear, and then out of pure, debilitating agony.
The world around her bent and swung, and Jo's eyes rolled back for a split second as she raised her hands to the two large puncture marks in her side.
"I've got to...ah - " She sank to her knees, all thoughts drained away along with the blood draining from her body. She needed to focus on fighting back, and yet all she could think about was theres's blood on my dress, blood on my dress, blood on my - thank merlin it's black but lots of blood on my dress...
"F-flipendo..." The Gryffindor said weakly, wand shaking slightly. At least, if nothing else, she could take down this insect and be both vanquisher and vanquished. Even hurt, a lioness was not helpless.
Well, this was certainly not what she had meant when she'd called dibs on the mosp's stingers.
Action: Casting Flipendo at the wing of Mosp #10 once more.
