On the night of 24th September, it was a 3.
He had been neither here or there, but one place you will never find him : class. There has been moments where he walks towards them…. only to steer in a different direction at the last minute. His interest being caught on the silliest tiny things. Not to mention fueled by his overwhelming reluctance to just down in class. This wasn't done with a spiteful determination - really. He just got distracted. One person to talk to- another to take note - another question to ask - another thing to poke - be it walls or grass, or someone's wizard chess that was left at the courtyard. His eyes often wandered, and his legs - newly formed and eager to be used- would take him there.
For the past week - there has been a particular person that caught his eye. For Demo, his target of attention had on real pattern, and was often changed quickly. This boy was yet to be the exception. He was a typical white boy - fair with blue eyes and brown hair. According to what Demo understood from learning about conventional beauty standards - he was on the higher end. Not that it mattered cause frankly Demo couldn't for the life of him remember his face unless he looked directly at it.
What made him remember was the burst of fire that shot out of the boy's wand when Demo once passed by the dueling room. Entranced by the spell slinging, Demo would sit at the spectators area and just …stared at him. No expression in particular, except the blank but persistent stare. He could count by the tap of his foot - exactly 300 taps before he left. If the other ever gave him a sign of acknowledgement - it would be meet with a blank stare- and an abrupt stop to his tapping, followed up by a quick leave. But eventually - Demo would always return. Though the timing was inconsistent, there was a particular pattern.
By pure luck today, he saw the boy crossing his path from the opposite direction. Demo didn't think much of it at first - continuing his path until the other passed by him already. Though with some time, he looked back to the boy's back (or so he thinks is his back). If the other looked back at him - Demo would freeze and stare, just as he always did in the dueling spectator area. If the other kept on walking, the older boy may be able to hear tiny inconsistent footsteps- from speed walking to a slow step randomly.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────The blue eyed boy being pursued was in a rush. Not that that was particularly out of the ordinary so far as this year was concerned. His summer respite back home in Bristol, something he'd been looking forward to for most of his first foray at the castle, had lasted only from the start of July to the end of the same month. After that, at the behest of his parents - insistent (for whatever reason) that he needed to make even more friends than he already had and keep in contact with those he'd already made - he'd been on his way back to Hogwarts for summer camp. It had hardly been worth unpacking his bags.
Now, less than a full month into term, everything was moving at a mile a minute. He'd already been in an unofficial duel. He'd managed to get passable if... still imperfect grades. He'd painted a bunch of adorable things on one of the walls to the dorm (as was encouraged in what was - in his mind - the far superior gender neutral Hufflepuff bunking arrangement) and had gotten to know his roommates a bit better. He'd snuck off to Hogsmeade once to resupply the huge bowl of snacks he had for people in his dorm (snuck being the operative word, seeing as his permission slip was decidedly a forgery). He'd even managed to slip in some practice for the dueling team he'd impulsively signed up for. The Blazing Badgers. It was a fun name, at least, even if it was perhaps a little intimidating for someone with a slightly less-than-fiery personality like his often was.
Now that October was swiftly on the approach, the brown haired boy was feeling a bit of pressure to ensure every spell in his arsenal was perfectly honed in time for dueling season. Less because he wanted to hurt anyone, but... well, ultimately it was so he didn't let his team down. And so he wouldn't embarrass himself, that was almost just as important in his mind. So here he was, making his way through largely empty corridors to the dueling room yet again when all of a sudden, he pulled up short.
Though not always the top-tier sleuth like those he admired in the television programs he'd watch with his mum on the regular, the sound of someone coming up behind him with a less than consistent gait was odd enough to draw his attention. Slowly, the short young man turned his aqua gaze back to the individual serving as a shadow made flesh. Demo. He'd met him at camp, of course. They'd been cabin-mates. And now they were in Hufflepuff together as well - though the younger boy had chosen the less awesome of the gender neutral options on offer, but Henry didn't judge him too harshly for that. Though only a single year their senior, this was one of the many first years the youngest member of the Holbrook clan had taken under his wing, or at least was trying to.
"Oh!" A bark of surprised laughter came with the exclamation, "Blimey, Demo, you startled me a bit, mate. You lost or something? You can tell me, it's alright, I won't judge. Awfully easy to get turned around in this place sometimes, innit?"─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Demo likes to claim he has selective memory. And doesn't feel much when others seem to remember more than him. But he was starting to understanding the negative leaning expression that others wear when he admits this outright. For example - 630-C [Henry] had called out Demo's name. Demo could not for the life of him remember the same for the white boy. It took a few seconds of intently staring at those 630 - C coded orbs to finally register more glimpses of where he had seen these eyes before. Now that he thought about it - wasn't he the lead white boy from the other dorm? There were also fragments of sharing a tent - not that he remembered much.
Think think think……. is it that important to hide the fact he forgot who he was?
" I don't care if you judge, 630-C " he states blanky, deciding that - no. It wasn't that important. He did that little wave thing people did when they brushed away a conversation they didn't want to dwelve deep into. " I was following you. I thought it might be the 'you' I see in the pewpewpew room. I wasn't sure. I followed , so I did - yes". He closed the distance between them by walking closer. " Are you going to that same place again? With all the - pew pew pews? " The boy inquired, squinting skeptically as if his whole day depended on the other's answer. Yes or no. What will it be?
