Tallis had heard people talking about hanging out in the courtyard and decided to go check it out for herself. She didn't have anyone to go with but that wasn't going to stop her even if it was a bit lonely. As she arrived at the courtyard, she noticed that it was very busy and full of other students. She found a little corner to sit in and carefully made sure she wasn't going to sit on anything she shouldn't. Tallis had always loved the outdoors besides what her pale skin said. She remembered going hiking with her parents when she was younger and loving looking at all the leaves and trying to find the small animals that lived in the area.
She could hear birds chirping, a soft melodic sound that was almost covered up by the hustle and bustle of the other people in the courtyard. Tallis looked around the area of where she was sitting and noticed the beautiful emerald moss that was growing all round the courtyard's stones. She loved how it was rough and soft at the same time, she, in a way, could understand it, it was like her rough and soft and people tend not to notice it's beauty. If you looked closely you could find all sorts of secrets in it. She saw a little trail of ants walking along the stones, one after another, marching along.
She got back up and leaned against the wall. She decided that it would be a perfect time to draw, no classes or homework to do so why not draw the beautiful scenery. She got out her journal and her pencil case and started sketching. Occasionally she would look back up to see what she was sketching but all together just kinda went with the wind.
(I don't know what i'm doing)

Lilith felt trapped inside the building despite its high ceilings and long corridors. Actually, that might just be the reason she felt trapped. She didn’t know. But she did decide to go outside; she pulled on the hood of her robe and stumbled out into the courtyard. She didn’t know where she was going. The hood was draped a little bit too low over her eyes. Finally, she pushed it up, and tried to find a corner to sit, just for a while, because that would be cooler, in terms of temperature.
Well, curse her luck; the young introvert just happened to stumble across another person. The girl also looked like a first year; Lilith could tell by the uniform that she was a Hufflepuff. The girl was sketching something. When she looked up, Lilith could see there was something strange about one of her eyes; however the girl looked down again and her face was covered by her hair.
Lilith tried to walk away; the other girl hadn’t noticed her yet. She put on her hood—definitely a mistake. The material covered her eyes and as she tried to back away soundlessly, she stumbled against something hard and she fell backwards, her hood also falling off.
“I-I-I didn’t mean to.....I...” she gasped. Lilith hoped she could get away with this.

Tallis had been drawing when she heard a thud quickly followed by a girl stuttering. She looked up, making sure her hair covered her blind-eye, to find a young girl staring at her.Tallis wasn't sure what to do, she had never been exactly good with people. Tallis looked at her robes to see she was a Ravenclaw and from the looks of it a first year like her. Tallis looked curiously at the girl, concerned she decided to make sure she was alright. "Are you all right,"Tallis questioned the girl, concerned. She could tell the girl was nervous and from the looks of it was sneaking around trying not to be seen. Tallis felt her cheeks turn red as she wondered how long the girl had been there before falling. She decided to worry about that later and try to calm the girl down. "I promise I won't hurt you, it's ok." She wasn't sure if this would calm the poor girl or scare her more but she could hope for the best. Tallis tried to give a warm smile to the girl, hoping it actually looked nice and not like she was about to murder the poor girl, and quickly got rid of it just in case.

As Lilith stuttered, the girl looked up and saw her, her hair still covering her right eye. She looked curious and also concerned, as she spoke up:
“Are you all right,”
And then,
“I promise I won’t hurt you, it’s ok.”
The girl smiled quickly.
Strange. People always assume other people think they are going to hurt them, if the latter is scared. Nevertheless she has to reply, doesn’t she?
“I....okay.” She stood up, hesitated, and sat down a good two feet away from the girl. “What.....um.....who......”Lilith stuttered. “Um, I was....I was just looking f-for a place to sit......I.......um, who-who are you?”
Good reply, she thought to herself. But she can’t really do anything about it. All these years of isolation.....and the past. The bad past. No, she couldn’t think about it.
“I’m........Lilith....?” She tried. “Lilith Arachne.......Ravenclaw.....first year. You.....are you a Hufflepuff?” She asked.
Lilith hoped she didn’t offend the girl. From what she knew people in her life get offended easily; she never knew about them. Her grandmother never gets offended by her words. But she learned to be careful.
The girl seemed to be drawing before she came. Drawing. A form of art. Something she never came to know...yet it was beautiful...her curiosity grew.
As Lilith stuttered, the girl looked up and saw her, her hair still covering her right eye. She looked curious and also concerned, as she spoke up:
“Are you all right,”
And then,
“I promise I won’t hurt you, it’s ok.”

Tallis had watched as the girl got into a sitting position and stuttered “Um, I was....I was just looking f-for a place to sit......I.......um, who-who are you?” Tallis was about to answer when the girl continued, “I’m........Lilith....Lilith Arachne.......Ravenclaw.....first year. You.....are you a Hufflepuff?” She asked.
Tallis could tell the girl no Lilith was nervous and wasn't quite sure how to help, she decided that she would just answer Lilith's questions. "My name is Tallis," she started, "Tallis Oblidge and yes i'm a Hufflepuff as well as a first year, like you" Tallis looked curiously at Lilith, she thought her name was pretty.
She wondered why the girl was so nervous, of course, most people did get nervous around her, she didn't exactly have the most welcoming of auras and her resting face was a frown but Lilith intrigued her. Usually by now people would run away from her, calling her a freak or monster of course most of the time people didn't realize she was there in the room with them so this was a relatively new experience for her. "It's...it's ok by the way, you didn't know I was here, no... no need to worry," Tallis told her, nervously playing with one of the pages of her sketchbook and then playing with a strand of hair. She was still wondering how long the girl had been there for, watching her.
