Winds of change

@Cassandra Ironwoods
It was a dreary Saturday morning. Sky wasn't in a particularly good mood. She had woken up late for starters, which was unusually unlike her, then she had missed breakfast, much to her dismay. The slytherin was longing for a trip down to the kitchens to grab some food and while the concept was undoubtedly tempting, she wasn't exactly sure where the kitchens were. Near the hufflepuff common room, she expected, but since she rarely spoke to anybody from the badger house, the idea of asking one of them if they knew the hogwarts kitchen's whereabouts seemed highly unlikely. In any state her audacious reputation had already leaked too far, any cheeky questions and people would start to think she was up to something.
After tossing several books across the room so that they landed clumsily in a scattered mess upon her four poster bed, she stood up and without a glance strolled out of the dorm, slinging her bag over her shoulder as she did so. “Library” She muttered, as she exited the common room and made her way down the dim lit, dungeon corridors. Once she reached the library, her mood lightened considerably, sure it was still bitter and sour but for Sky she felt relatively happy. The library was like her home. Intriguing, tranquil, no one could possibly disturb her here.
She browsed the shelves negligently, her fingertips lightly brushing the ancient spines of the battered library books. After selecting a few worthwhile reads, she located an isolated table and sat down placing her bag on the chair next to her. Her things were spread out purposefully across the table, she knew that it was slightly selfish of her but she was rather complied to evade any sort of human interaction for the time being. Leaning back in her chair she flicked open the decrepit volume, peacefully admiring its captivating contents.

Cassie grumbled as they covered their ears with their pillow. Some of their dorm mates decided to be a talker this early morning. "Can you shut up? I am trying to sleep here"Cassie growl to the unknown students. The unknown students dismissed what Cassie said and they keep talking among themselves.
With a sigh Cassie tossed and turn so they can go back to sleep again but it is a futile attempt. With bleary eyes and unkept locks of brown hair, Cassie force to wake themselves up. "Might as well start the day"Cassie mumbled to themselves. Cassie then open their trunk.
They take out the caramel cardigan, some white t-shirt and a short ripped jeans. When they done get ready for the day, Cassie take a glance at the open books on their study desk. Cassie groan when they remembered they still have DADA and Herbology chapters that they need to catch up.
Cassie could procrastinating it but then again having A for any lesson will not do for them or for their father. Begrudgingly Cassie lifted up the hefty and thick textbooks from their study desk. They bring some parchments, quill and bottles of ink then they out of their dorm room and the Common Room.
Some of their dorm room mates look at them but Cassie could careless towards who saw them. Cassie initially decide that they want to study on the school ground but they change their mind on the last minute. Upon arriving in the library, Cassie hands aching from all the stuff they been carried from Dungeon to the room they are at right now.
On this Saturday morning not a lot of student in the library but something catches Cassie's eyes. A girl with strawberry bubble gum hair sitting in the isolated table not far from where Cassie stands. Cassie once or twice saw the girl passed by on the hall or in their Common Room but Cassie have not had the chance to meet the girl properly.
Cassie broke out from their trance when all of their belongings fall from their hands onto the wooden table with a loud thud. The loud thud echoing through the library. Most people winced from the loud sound they made, but not them. Their belongings cluttered on the table but Cassie could care less about other people whether the loud sound disturb them or not.
With that Cassie drag the wooden chair, sit on it and begin to take notes on their parchment.

Sky was wrapped up in her novel, turning the pages gently as she relaxed in the chair. It was only the feeling of someone's presence in front of her, that allowed her to notice another person present. It was a slytherin just like her, Sky took a moment to contemplate her appearance, finally focusing her cloudy mind. The slytherin sat down and began to take notes and Sky sat frozen, still shocked at the nerve of this girl. Couldn't she see that Sky was using the table? Could she take a hint that maybe Sky didn't want her here?
The bubblegum-haired girl slammed her book down, ignoring several onlookers who hushed her impatiently. “Ex-cu-se me” She started, spreading her words out venomously as she practically spat them from her mouth, “But this table is occupied by me. Take your things and leave” She demanded. Normally she would show less malice. Stubborn and spiteful though she was, she commonly respected her fellow housemates, but her bad mood had eliminated any thought in showing kindness to her fellow snake.
She leaned back in her chair again, having expected the girl to have left, but at the sound of continued movement her head snapped back up again, her gaze piercing the girl with a furious look. “Did you not hear me?” She waved her hand in front of her mockingly to get her attention. “This is my table. Get lost.” It was all very childish of her to say this, as though she were fighting over a child's toy, but at this point she could care less. The girl better not get in her way.

When Cassie heard the book being slammed, they scoffed under their breath. The girl demanded Cassie to take their things and leave. The second time the girl said - no - more like demanding Cassie to leave, Cassie stopped what they doing and looked up to the bubblegum haired girl.
The girl get more agitated when Cassie ignore her on purpose. "I hear you, alright"Cassie looked at the girl. Their green eyes piercing to the girl. "And besides, I sit far enough from you. This is a free country, no?"Their Cuban accent seeped through. Cassie said their piece and continue taking notes for their subject.
Usually not many of their fellow snakes linger on the school library let alone read a book. "You know, you do not seems the type of person that read a book like those"Cassie nodded their head towards the book that the bubblegum girl hold. Cassie gathers all their belonging.
They looks like want to leave the table but instead they move a bit closer to the bubblegum haired girl. "What is your problem, anyway? I did not offend you but yet you being this unpleasant human being to be around with"Cassie said it and laid back to the wooden chair, waiting the girl to responds.

“I hear you, alright”
The girl was making Sky feel stupid, yet a grain of defiance still resided within her and she scoffed, opening her mouth to resort bitterly “Well, maybe you should listen then.” The girl appeared to not have heard her for she continued to press her point, and Sky couldn't help staying quiet for a second as she observed the cuban accent that slipped in and out of the girl's words. Sitting back down again, the bubblegum-haired girl picked up her book, aggressively turning the page so that it was loud enough for the slytherin in front of her to note her frustration.
“You know, you do not seems the type of person that read a book like those”
Skys head snapped up, a malicious scowl etched on her features, “So what if I read?” she said viciously, although inside her she noted that to some extent the girl was right. Sky should have been indoors at this point, on her own, it was unlike the snake to bore over books all day when, although she loved reading, she could be doing something that considered more productivity.
"What is your problem, anyway? I did not offend you but yet you being this unpleasant human being to be around with"
At this, Skys features softened and she found herself slightly embarrassed at the question. Nobody had ever asked her that. “Why do you care?” She said slowly, and this time her voice was not laced with sharp profanity, but with curious suspicion. She decided to shrug it off. In theory the girl wasn't too bad and she considered asking her a question before placing her book down and gazing back at the other inhabitant of the table. ”What is your name anyways?”

The girl retorted bitterly, "Well, maybe you should listen then.”Cassie want to let out a loud laugh with how childish the bubble haired girl is but they keep it to themselves. Then the girl pick up her book again and flip the page aggressively. Cassie trying very hard to suppress the smirk that about to come out but that no avail.
"Hey, I do not mean no harm. You can read bunch of books if you like"Cassie said to the other girl when the girl still spitted out the snarky comment. Cassie glances at their DADA and Herbology textbooks that laid neglected on table. At this point it was a futile attempt to get any studying done when their other conversation partner more interactive then those thick books.
“Why do you care?”The girl enquires the Cuban descendant with curious and suspicion. "No reason. It just what make you this way? I mean nobody becoming this snarky without any reason, right?"Cassie, themselves sometimes an be sarcastic and snarky if they want to but if they decided that way, the probably would not have any friends in this big castle.
The girl then putting the book that she holds down and turn to Cassie, "What is your name anyways?”The girl requested. "Cassandra Ironwoods"They said shortly. Usually they provide their nickname when they introduce their name to the other person they interacted with.
But until they become good friend with the other girl, they just stick with that short introduction. "Yours?"Cassie questions the other girl.

"Yours?"
“Sky Evans” She replied sharply and swiftly, “Pleasure to meet you Cassandra.” She had to admit that the girl was mildly fascinating, no doubt Sky was intrigued by her sharp-witted demeanor. She lowered her book down, finally placing in on the table top where it rested, the pages flickering shut, as she focused her attention to her companion. The girl's earlier comment floated tauntingly at the front of her mind, jabbering at her brain for desperate attention. ‘I mean nobody becomes this snarky without any reason, right?’ She took a minute to fully consider these words. Was this Sky nature? She rested her chin on the palm of her hand, thinking. Pfft of course it was, she decided. Whatever Cassandra has said only came across stupid to her, why should she listen? It's not like she cared about anyone's opinion. For now.
She scoffed scornfully, yet this time it wasn't filled with malice, it was instead laced with the sort of mockery you practiced on friends, teasing almost, expressing banter in a cold, derisive sort of way. Nevertheless the words were not meant to convey any harm. “So what?” She snapped waspishly, brushing away the comment. “I can be who I like, it's no one elses business, hell I don't care what anyone thinks at all” the last bit wasn't at all truthful, she did care at most times, she wouldn't show it though and she had no intention of ever doing so. Was it the mere fact that she cared for at least some things that had resulted in the fact that she resented most people, most of all Walker? Was she jealous? Ugh, a look of disgust etched its way onto her features and she felt repulsed at the fact that these thoughts had even found a way into her head. Bitter and stubborn as she was, there was no way this came from jealousy, at least that's what she thought.
She twirled her wand between her fingers absentmindedly. “Those stupid gryffindors," she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes as she spoke, “With their annoying, loud, bravado demeanor.” She became aware of the fact that Cassandra was in her presence and as she turned, in mild amusement to reconsider the girl next to her she spoke again, this time addressing her with an almost bored drawl, the words creeping slowly out of her mouth, carelessly. “Have you met any vexatious idiots lately? I daresay you have, this school is full of them.” Although this was a matter of opinion, she didn't entirely mean it at all, her words sometimes slipped from her mouth, spilling infiltrated opinions, raw, unkempt, thoughtless.
OOC Note: Im so sorry that this took so long, my apologies! I thought I had already replied, whoops~
