mentioning Cassandra Ironwods | Blake Bayne | Ivy Bellamy [unknown name]

═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═
late afternoon on a Tuesday
set on the third floor outside charms classroom

Lizzie had recently fell down the stairs. Both literally and metaphorically. She had fallen into a trap of constant feelings and fallen when trying to get to the Great Hall to meet Cassie and Blake. It was very exhausting. If anyone even dared to ask why she was always so clumsy the answer probably would be another trip down the stairs.

It was obvious as soon as the Ravenclaw fell for someone she either didn't have the guts [which was normally untrue] to ask them about it or someone was in the way. It had to be the first time she actually was scared of talking to someone [it would have been a dream come true for some people].

She rubbed her head and sighed quickly walking long the charms corridors. It was another day were she was going to the Ravenclaw common room but forgetting which stairs to take and worrying about ow she is meant to actually get threw the door. It was a problem being the dumbest person in the house that was meant to be intelligent.

She looked around the corridor for any signs of someone that was actually smarter than her. She didn't see any other Ravenclaws [to her understanding they would all be in the Library or in the Common Room already] but she did see a Gryffindor who looked a bit sad and was sulking.

It probably wasn't anything important. Except, Lizzie liked to help people [it normally meant that they owe her a favor but she never did ask anyone for help. she classed herself as an independent women who didn't need other peoples help] and she wanted to know what was going on. Sometimes knowing whats going on around the castle really helped with social status and popularity. Those didn't matter to Lizzie but she liked to keep on top of gossip and not be the last to now everything.

She moved closer and hoping that it didn't look creepy. Especially after that run in with that Gryffindor calling Lizzie a stalker. She was being extra careful when around other people. She defiantly did not want the reputation of a creepy person. Not when she was trying to build a career on top of reputation and talent.

"Hey, you seem..." She looked at the boy's face, "annoyed? Sad? In distress?" Lizzie stepped in front of the boy. She didn't want to disturb his peaceful time with himself. If the problem was what she was thinking Lizzie would have the perfect plan to help both the boy and herself.

She straightened her back and hoisted her shoulder bag up. "What's wrong with you? Some girl leave you at the Ball?" She asked with a tone of sympathy. If she had asked it in any other way it probably would have come across as harsh and that would have not been good. For Lizzie or for the boy in front of her.

Failure was just not an option when it came to his charmwork, it was absolutely unacceptable to him. Having just been brutally beating the spells he wanted to learn into his head within the classroom not long before, he knew his concentration wasn't in check when it came to the drills he was previously running. There he paced, walking slowly back and forth in front of the classroom, thinking on the solution to the issue with a quite annoyed look resting upon his features. "What the hell is your problem," he muttered to himself as he spun once more, coming to the end of the hall. Shifting himself back into the other direction, he kept his eyes towards the floor as his pace continued to the opposite side where a staircase rested.

As typical for Zykeal, he had that ivory-colored aspen wood wand gracefully twisting through his digits as he spun it like a drumstick, it was habitual for him, always trying to put that mind at ease for him. It wasn't until the middle of the hallway until an unknown figure stepped out in front of him and produced herself in his way, speaking aloud, startling him at the moment. Golden hues shifted up with a flare of intensity as the spinning of his wand settled, the hilt resting in his palm and pointed towards the individual in front of him. It took him a moment to register her words towards him at that moment, then he realized that she might not be a potential threat, he let his hand gripping his wand lower slowly to his waist side.

What was it that she said? It took him a moment longer to register her words before Zyk could respond in kind, "I look, what?" he said, tilting his head to the side as he peered at what he now observed to be a Ravenclaw girl that was standing in front of him, "I don't know, can't seem to focus," he mentioned, orbs drifting down to look upon the wand he had just lowered a moment before. Once again, he adjusted himself, not at ease with his vulnerable position at the moment; Zyk didn't trust anyone in this school and had failed to make any friendships that lasted longer than a week, his guard was always up.

Hues raised once more, those golden irises shifting across the figure in front of him, appraising her in multiple ways to try and deduce why she was interfering with this young Gryffindor at the time being. The next words she spoke broke through those carefully built boundaries that he had set up within his mind though, was she a seer of some sort? This bothered him for a moment and it took him a few seconds more to be able to gauge a response to the questions that she had asked him then. A soft breath was taken for the pause, a calculated response was needed for this Ravenclaw he assumed, but, he decided to be brutally honest instead, "Well, yeah. What's it to ya?" that soft Dublin accent coming out as the boy shifted his head from one side to the other, inquisitive, but also defensive.

This situation started to make him a tad bit nervous as well, he was alone with a girl at night in the corridors of the school, it might look weird if anyone happened to bump into at the time and he wasn't really wanting to be confronted by any prefects that might be lingering close by, "Why you ask?" he questioned, "Same thing happen to ya'?" he followed up, figuring that she might have been through the same thing if she had so easily perceived the situation that had happened to him at the ball.

As the wand that had been shoved in her face lowered, Lizzie laughed slightly. It was a normal reaction for someone who had recently had something happen to them. It was just self-protection in a world of cruel people. In other words, the ball had really made some people frightened and they would sleep with their wand under their pillow. She lifted her hand and pushed the wand down even further just so she knew he wasn't going to all of a sudden hex her.

She shook her head slightly. She had been right with both of her questions. That was defiantly a surprise for her. She normally just guessed something and got it completely wrong leading to the other person to get highly offended and storm off. It was a habit the Ravenclaw was trying to squeeze herself out of but it didn't seem to be working.

"I didn't expect to get that right." She looked to the floor and slightly rubbed her chin. She didn't want to make it seem like she was trying push information out of him. That would just be plain rude, "It's nothing. Just a guess."

Lizzie looked around a bit in hopes of no one being in the corridor. Thankfully, no one had decided to join the two first-years. The blonde grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to the wall. She took a deep breath. It was going to be a big stretch and jump to propose such an idea.

It had just popped into her mind. She would never have thought about something like that unless it was that exact circumstance. "Not exactly," She stated, "I went to the ball with my friend and we both ditched each other." She said shrugging her shoulders. That wasn't a big of a deal. Cassie and Lizzie had both made it up to each other after the ball anyway.

"Except, I recently met someone." She sighed slightly looking over one of the boys shoulders in a day dream a bit. She let a small smile creep onto her face. Eventually, Lizzie snapped back into reality and continued, "I'm sure he likes this other girl." She pouted a bit and crossed her arms.

The girl looked back to the boy, "You want to try make your girl understand what she was missing out on and I want to show who I like what he is missing out on to." She grinned and nodded her head. "If your interested, I have a little plan that could maybe get us both what we want."

She slightly winked. Lizzie pushed some hair out from her face. "So who's this girl anyway?" She asked. It wasn't a chance to try and reveal all of his secrets but it would be nice if they knew each other. It didn't matter what status or level of friendship they were on. It would just help her more with the plan that she wanted to go along with.

She could hear Cassie lecturing her in her mind going on about how she is only 12 and has at least one admirer already. It would have been easier to go for one of them but it wasn't Lizzie's fault she fell for the wrong guy. The girl placed her right hand behind her back and crossing two of the fingers. She slightly smiled at the person in front of her in hopes of trying to make him get on the same boat as her.

The laugh that this girl produced seemed quite angelic with a hint of a mischievous side lingering within it, she seemed to be one that he'd need to keep his guard up around. It wasn't because of the events of the ball that led him to keep his guard up, it was his fellow students if anything had caused him to be more cautious in the halls of Hogwarts. Regardless, Zykeal was very frank with his answers and didn't like lying to anyone if he could avoid it, it was just in his nature to be annoyingly brutally honest. So, when he produced his answers to her, she looked quite shook that he was so forthcoming in his answers.

When she spoke again, he kept his head cocked to the side and just watched her mannerisms, trying to gauge why this girl had decided to detour herself and involve herself in his happenings. "Good guess'," he mentioned, as she commented on her line of questioning. When she looked around, he was glad he wasn't the only one on his toes at the moment, but, it caused him to be a little bit more suspicious with her for the time being. A second longer of him trying to understand the situation he found himself was taken before she'd taken him by surprise and pulled him towards the wall they were closest too.

A nod was given to her as she had explained her own situation at the ball, he should have concluded that she wanted something from him at that point, but, Zykeal was still young and a little naive at times. When she continued to explain her situation, a little smirk started to play across his facial features as the plan she was fetching up seemed to play across his mind before she even spoke it. When she finally did though, reveal her intentions, he turned his head to hide the smile that he had fully possessed now. With her demeanor like a pouting kitten, he turned his face back, his expression dropping when she inquired on who the 'girl' was.

The hand that held his wand at that moment twitched, it was if a little lightning bolt sparked through him and he realized that it might have been the thought of her that kept appearing within his practices in his spellwork that caused him to be distracted as he had been lately. Though he decided that this idea of this girl might be interesting enough to listen to, for the time being, he relinquished the name that he had been thinking about lately, "Ivy," he said simply, eyes drifting to the side to avoid contact with the girl in front of him.

Keeping his gaze averted from the girl, he questioned, "Well, what's this little plan of yours exactly?" and he figured he had the right to know so he further asked the next question, "and who is your little crush?" he inquired, finally shifting his golden hues back to the girl in front of him as he stepped a little closer to her, "I don't want to be played again," a little harder tone came from his lips at that moment, "and I'm not interested in hurting anyone." he finished, although he had been recently cold to Ivy and completely blew her off, there was still lingering feelings there and if they could get outta whatever plan she was coming up with unscathed, that would be best.

Lizzie leaned against the wall and crossed her arms, while tapping her fingers of her elbows. He didn't seem to show much emotion. She was sure that an eleven or twelve year old boy would show at least just a little bit of happiness. Even if the ball had made people feel down and depressed, the Ravenclaw had found people who defiantly had put a smile on her face. She just had that type of personality where when something traumatic happened wouldn't put her out of her high spirits. After the Blossom Ball and adventuring into the forest, any normal person would feel inclined to get a therapist.

To be honest, Lizzie didn't even know what a therapist was. She was one of the most dumb people to have ever existed when it can to academic subjects. She was basically a blonde bimbo but with the talent of a musical genesis. It wasn't something people would know at a first glance at her. She looked quite smart and sophisticated but looks can deceive like many people normally find out. When most people made a judgement on Lizzie it was either the words 'dumb smart' or 'she'll never get a job but she has a nice head'.

She noticed as he smirked at her talking about her time at the Ball. He did have emotions after all but they were limited. At the mention of his 'girl' the smirk slowly disappeared. It seemed Lizzie had hit a nerve or soft spot. That was exactly what she had wanted but that wasn't information she was going to reveal to the Gryffindor in front of her.

He gave a straight forward answer of 'Ivy'. The girl placed a hand on her chin and thought. She didn't know anyone with the name of Ivy. It was a common name around the School. She had heard people using it before but she had never been able to put the names to the faces.

"Well, you see." She started while coughing into one of her hands, "It's called a fake relationship." She lifted her hands and made them go in a shape of a rainbow. It was to make it seem like it was a good idea. Rainbows always were good and anything associated with a rainbow was good as well. "We make sure the people we want to show or something are in the area with us and we," She gestured to herself and the boy "pretend to like each other but make it really obvious."

Lizzie quickly looked at the floor, "All I'll say is his name is Roo." Roo was a silly nickname she had given him that wouldn't make it to obvious as to who it was but would still make sense. She didn't really want to give it away that easily. He had but it was just an unfortunate case she didn't know who it was. It was only fair. They would both find out eventually. The boy took a step forward while sating he didn't want to hurt anyone as Lizzie took a step back. She didn't do it because she was intimidated. The girl was just making sure that they were at a good enough distance so it wouldn't look sketchy. "I don't know what you class as hurting someone. Small bits of jealousy or anger? Yes. Physical or long-term mental problems? Defiantly not."

There was the thought of a game being played within his mind for a moment, it was grand and adventurous, but also could cause issues in the long run. The real question would be, was it worth it? Unlike most of the Ravenclaws he had met, she seemed rather impulsive, others, they always seemed to think of the first answer to be the best, where this young Gryff thought that about the layers beyond the first layer of the game. This is what brought him to already agree to her proposal before she even outlined the details of the idea she had grasped at. Zykeal would need to hear more though and waited for her to speak the name of the one that she had a crush on, curious if he knew either her or him.

When she spoke up then, her actions were what was to be judged, she did her little rainbow motion and he couldn't help but the soft tug of a smile once more gracing his features. This was probably the first, most, he'd smiled in a long time. It was an interesting plan, but he wasn't sure that she could pull it off, she seemed to have highly emotional responses and didn't know if she could keep in character enough for both of them to get what they wanted at that time. When he had stepped towards her, she had moved back, this caused his head to cock to the opposite side that it was already as she spoke the nickname she offered for her 'crush', he'd ask about that in a moment.

For now, he'd listen to her again, appraising her features for a moment as he considered the proposal. She'd do nicely, he thought, at least in the most physical way that there could be. Brain wise though, this Birdy didn't seem to have much of what would qualify a Ravenclaw. Regardless, there would have been some reason the hat had chosen her for the house she was placed in, this single fact would allow him to agree to her plan. For now, though, he'd think for a moment of a way to test her in the way that they'd need to be able to pull off such a complicated relationship.

A freehand would come up to run through the auburn-red hair on the side of his head, "I gave you a real name, I expect the same," he said, another step forward was made as he gauged their proximity to see if she could handle the situation, they'd need to be close and she was proposing this idea for the future. There was no quick glance to the side to see if any prefects were around, this was the point, often couples got caught snogging in the corridors, so if she was too hesitant about any action she made if he was close to her, then the jig' was up. There wasn't going to be any actions of snogging from him though, of course, he just wanted to test the girl.

The fact wad though, he needed the name, Zykeal didn't want to disrespect anyone he felt at least a little friendly too, it was way too hard for him to make friendships and fracturing any that he had at least regarded as acquaintances then, he'd have to forgo the plan. This would be an unfortunate circumstance after all, but, it was the risk they were about to try an endeavor upon. "Iftcha' can't handle bein' closer, we be doomed ya' got me?" that think Dublin accent coming forward with his serious behavior at the time being. Zykeal wouldn't normally be like this, but, this random girl was going to try and propose something so spontaneous and he didn't even know her, he had to test her. It was natural for him for any outsider to be tested when they entered his area, it was natural.

The smile that was on Lizzie's face faltered. He didn't think she was good enough. There were many reasons why she was good enough for the whole scheme. For one, she was the one who made the actual plan up. If she hadn't proposed the idea he would never have thought of doing it. The boy in front of her just didn't seem like that kind of person. She was the one with the personality that would actually go threw with it.

Second of all, she defiantly would be able to concentrate through out it all. It may not have seemed like she was the type of person to go with it but some people would be surprised. Lizzie defiantly was naïve but it didn't control her life completely. It was just a small aspect of her big personality. It was a bad attribute but there were others she could counter it with like her charm and her wit. Quick thinking was always good in a situation of improvisation.

Lastly, she just wanted to ,hopefully, get what she wanted. Which was either the right good reaction from Rafael or a bad one. It wouldn't matter which. One of them was obviously going to happen. There was no in the middle. Not grey area. It had to be good or bad. If anything else even wanted to strike Lizzie she would not let it happen what so ever.

As the boy ran a hand threw his hair and said his statement, Lizzie narrowed her eyes. "Fine. If it's a name you want. His name is Rafael." She said crossing her arms and looking away. Unfortunately, due to Rafa's popularity around the school it would be more likely that the Gyrffindor knew him. Even more so since they were in the same house together.

The first-year stepped forward again. Lizzie knew exactly what he was doing. It was a test. To see if she was good enough. The girl maintained her stance and looked straight into the boys eyes. She kept her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed. It wasn't everyday that the Ravenclaw had a ginger boy in front of her testing out if she has the guts to be within two feet of him.

"I'm sure I can handle a bit of acting. After all I did just become the co-owner of an acting club." She said rolling her eyes, "I'm not sure you can handle it though." She took a step closer towards him. It was now her turn to test him. By that time, they were nearly chest to chest making Lizzie needing to crane her neck upwards a bit.

She smirked a bit staring deeper into his eyes hopping it would make him feel just a bit more uncomfortable then he already was. She didn't want him to even think about taking over the whole plan. Being in power made Lizzie feel good but not a bad feeling it was just nice knowing for once in her life someone would actually listen to her instead of taking advantage of her.

There came a time at this point in the conversation where he started to hesitate a little as she contemplated her next actions, he didn't know if either of them could pull this off and the blow out of the situation, if it went bad, would be worse than how things are now. The girl seemed confident though, she seemed to hold herself together well and as he tried to test her with that step forward, she seemed to hold her own for the time being. It was that foolish mentality of the pre-teens that they were that'd cause Zykeal to finally think that this might actually work out well for both of them.

Then she spoke up a name, it caused him no outward reaction, but, he had to stifle a laugh at his luck of the situation now. Rafa' deserved a little payback for that stunt he pulled in their tug-of-war game they had played earlier in the year, plus, his actions at the ball seemed so foolish. Even now, it seemed like everyone was singing the praises of the boy and he could understand the admiration of some of the girls towards him, but, he felt that the kid was a bad representation of what Gryffindors were. This spark of resentment towards the boy nearly cemented his association with the girl at this point.

She stepped forward then, closing the small gap between them and slightly startling him momentarily with her action. Composing himself though, he didn't know what she expected at that time and he wasn't really sure what to do. This situation wasn't something he was counting on when meeting this girl at night in the corridors outside of the charms class. Zykeal had never kissed a girl, the thought crossed his mind, piqued his interest for just a moment, but he felt that this wasn't the right time for his first kiss; there would be no point to it. Instead, he offered a kind smile down towards the girl and nodded his approval.

A moment later, "Well, what's my new girlfriends name then?" he asked, realizing they hadn't even exchanged names. "I'm Zykeal, but, you can call me Zyk(zeek) for short," he continued, then he took a slight step back to gauge the girl properly, taking one more look, appraising the girl who he'd be playing this ruse with at the time. She was awfully pretty, looked older than she probably was, but, the girl seemed just right. After a moment, he let his hand with his wand stow it into the waistband of his trousers and he'd let his hand linger out in the form of a handshake towards the girl, "We have a deal then?" Zyk would ask, seeing if they'd cement the deal.

It was getting late as well, as he waited for her hand, he'd look up and down the halls once more, anxious slightly that some prefect was going to come around the corner or down the stairs to bust the two newly joined couple and scold them for being alone in the corridor. Golden hues flicked back to the girl quickly and he offered a slight shrug in question, requesting an answer.

Lizzie could see that the boy was trying to hide something. It was probably about the name she had spoken. The girl knew that Rafael wasn't a very nice person but he had defiantly showed her how nice, calm and collected he could be when they first met in the Rehearsal Room. It was not her fault she fell for the wrong guy. It was just her fault she continued to feel the feelings she obviously wanted.

Stepping forward had obviously worked, they both knew that they were both good enough to do the task at hand. The boy seemed to be hesitant in what he was doing but decided to just smile at her. Lizzie hadn't expected anything out of him but it was nice to actually get a reaction out of the Gryffindor stood in front of her.

"Lizzie. My name is Lizzie." She said smiling back at the boy whom she had learned to be called Zykeal. "I guess my new boyfriends name is pretty cool." She winked at him slightly and then laughed. He took another stop back which was completely fine in Lizzie's eyes. There little test had had been long gone. Zyk held out his hand while asking if they had a deal.

The Raven looked at his hand. If she took it there was no going back. There were many bad possibilities that could ruin everything she had been working for. She could embarrass herself so much she can't even face going into the sun. It was very over dramatic but she had to think of ever situation.

Without hesitated again, Lizzie took his hand and shook it, "Yeah. We have a deal." She smiled again. It was nice to agree on something. She defiantly had had bad interactions before with people that turned out perfectly fine but ended in a disaster and negative emotions towards the other person.

She let go and swung her arms by the side of her body. "I should really be getting back to the common room now." She said pointing behind her and taking a few steps backwards, "So, cool. I'll see you later." She waved slightly and continued to go backwards.

It didn't end up very well because the blonde tripped over her own robe making her crash to the ground. "No. I am okay." She stood up and waved her hand around showing the boy in front of her that she was fine. Lizzie slightly grimaced and ran off around the corner towards the stairs that would take her to the Ravenclaw Common Room.
