@Wyatt StarkeyAlec would address everything else later. Now Alec was confused tea parties as in a formal setting? or a casual setting? Had Wyatt never had afternoon tea? Alec was almost completely sure everyone did. There were at least three tea times during the day, Elevenses, Afternoon tea, and High tea. Most workplaces muggle and non-muggle had the use of at least one of these in the UK. Alec wasn't exactly sure about other places though. Elevenses is between breakfast and lunch, snacks/light refreshments. Then Afternoon tea around four in the afternoon. Simple as it's called. But that's only really because Alec's family was one of those 'richer' families who ate dinner at eight. And then High tea, which is with dinner. It originated from poorer origins but has become popular. Apparently working class didn't really ever get a break way back when for tea in the middle of work, so high tea was their dinner and tea time. But then again. Tea parties were seen as more formal things, not family stuff. Alec knew his mom went to at least one a month. "I-I mean.. yes? It's not really formal or anything, it's usually just m-me, her, and a bunch of stuffed animals. She's not old enough to go to actual tea parties" Alec explained. Sad that age held her back, she'd make a great tea party host. Or guest. Now Alec, on the other hand. For him it wasn't a matter of age at all. Since by his mom he was old enough to go to actual tea parties. But it was the matter he was a boy that was holding him back. His mom said it's just not something boys do. And if they do go to actual tea parties, it should be frowned upon. Which confused Alec. Was it because mostly girls did it? Because if Alec looked hard enough, surely he'd find a guy's tea party if that was what was the matter. But apparently not. And apparently his mom didn't have time to explain it to him.Now regarding Alec's sketch. Yeah, um.. Unless he wanted all his imperfections in his sketches to be pointed out. He wasn't going to show it to them. "I haven't showed it to Jackie yet or my parents. I've been waffling on it for a while. And I have yet to finish coloring it in still.." Alec said and just as quick as the sketch had been brought out it was put back in the box and shoved far back under his bed.

"I-I mean.. yes? It's not really formal or anything, it's usually just m-me, her, and a bunch of stuffed animals. She's not old enough to go to actual tea parties."
Wyatt snorted.
“Age is stupid.” It was perhaps the dumbest and most informal, childlike sentence Alec had ever, or would ever hear the Slytherin say. “I didn’t know they had tea parties in real life. Well, I guess I knew rich people did, but that’s not real life, is it?”
"I haven't showed it to Jackie yet or my parents. I've been waffling on it for a while. And I have yet to finish coloring it in still…"
“Ah,” now back to the lighter subject, tea parties. Wyatt didn’t like to talk about his messed-up family life, so he assumed Alec wouldn’t want to either. Especially not with Wyatt, his arch-nemesis, but really, how silly was that? Anyway… tea parties. “Have you ever been to a tea party, sir Alec J. Mason?”
It was no secret Alec’s family was rich. Maybe they didn’t live in a giant Mansion like all the other purebloods, a three-story house in a seemingly “nice” neighborhood was definitely rich to Wyatt. Back home, tea was a birthday thing, or if (for some reason) you have someone coming over. There was no use in wasting money on useless things like tea.
The look on Alec’s face was one to be cherished. He was absolutely dumbfounded Wyatt had to ask to confirm if his little sister actually had tea parties. Rich people were such snobs, all the time, even if they didn’t know what they were doing. So silly.
Wyatt found himself wondering what Alec’s parents even did to afford a three-story townhome and home-cooked dinner every night and nice cars and tea sets for their very, very young daughter… and tea.

@Wyatt StarkeyAlec let out a small sigh, a slight smile on his lips. "I wish. Seems like an actual one would be pretty fun or well just inwardly making fun of the stupid gossip everyone talks about at tea parties. Nina's talking all about stuff like that once she gets home from one," Alec said. "You confused me for a moment though. Some people call Elevenses, Afternoon tea, and High tea as mini tea parties. To be fair, I think a tea party would have to be outside of just family and the workplace though," Alec said. After this Alec let out a small yawn. How late was it anyway? Late enough to get yelled at for talking and not going to sleep just yet. Probably.. But you also couldn't hear talking if you were outside the room. So if it was very late Alec wouldn't really know. Either way, by now Jackie was probably been put to bed.Nina was probably hanging out in her room doing who know's what. And Alec's parents had stopped arguing, so either Alec's dad was sleeping on the couch again. Or they had just gone to bed and suddenly weren't mad at each other. Which didn't exactly make sense.Cause you can't just suddenly be not ma- never mind Alec take that back. That's exactly what happened a bit ago when you got into a small and odd argument with Wyatt. That you basically started. Once you had deemed it not even worth it. you didn't exactly feel mad anymore. Even though you were still slightly annoyed with Wyatt. And the whole factor that Wyatt your enemy was staying at your house for the summer in general.

The dark-haired Slytherin couldn’t hold his laughter as long as he tried to. Right when Alec finished talking, a burst of laughter escaped the boy.
“High tea? Elevenses? Those are real things?” He couldn’t stifle his laughter. He wondered if Alec had been terrified at the sight of Wyatt Starkey, Snake-boy, bursting into laughter.
“Jesus Christ…”
Wastes of money such as those always made Wyatt and his mother laugh. It was just so strange to them. His mother used to tell him about the tea parties she used to have to go to with her parents. She’d always said they were terrible wastes of time and money, and that all the women there sat like the backs of their chairs had spikes on them, they’d sit so straight.
Wyatt naturally came down from his fit of laughter. He had no idea why he was so cheery this day, he’d been so angry and sad for the entire week, and it felt like his world was being filled with color again.
“Do you listen to music?” Wyatt had to ask, but he also felt he had to add, “Are you allowed?”
Alec’s family was so strange. So cold. At least Wyatt’s mother used to be cheery and warm. She was always so kind and loving, always there for him when he needed her.
All the neighbors would be so confused at that. They’d see the cheerful Eloise Starkey, and then her son, expressionless with bags under his eyes. Maybe she was just better at wearing a mask than her son, he had to learn it somewhere, right?

@Wyatt Starkey"First of all. Yes, they are real things.. Everybody in the neighborhood stops what their doing during the day to take a tea break. My dad said even Mrs. Woods does it. Although.. She barely makes enough to scrape by. Dad said she makes all her teas from stuff in her garden though," Alec said. It was a custom how did this boy seriously not know? Alec's family lives a fairly middle-class life. The Mason's don't exactly like to spoil their kids, but this didn't mean they didn't hold their family to a higher standard.Alec had to make that clear even if sleepiness was starting to win him over. "And kinda, I guess. I don't listen to too much music." Alec paused, smiling slightly. "I learned the annoyingly wonderful wonders of baby shark this year though." Alec said. He was quite fond of the memory for multiple reasons. One being Clifton explained all the lyrics to Alec and hand movements. While making a slight fool of himself. Not to be offensive but a total Hufflepuff thing to do.See, Alec was sure Clifton knew this too because afterwards he had this whole fit of laughter. A lot like Wyatt had had only minutes ago. "Anyway, are we done with questions? It's getting late and I want some sleep" Alec said. It made him sound sort of selfish in a way. But Alec had a reasonable argument which he didn't think was even worth the time to bring up.He was going to be shaken awake by a little girl at six in the morning like she always does asking if Alec could get her some food. And in order for Alec not to be crabby for the rest of the day tomorrow, he was going to need his sleep. That and he planned to sneak out sometime this week. So it was best he gets as much sleep as he could, anyway. That was a good enough excuse maybe..

"And kinda, I guess. I don't listen to too much music." Alec paused, smiling slightly. Sort of… maybe… just a little bit… he had a nice smile, didn’t he? It just seemed really innocent. "I learned the annoyingly wonderful wonders of baby shark this year though."
“Uph. I’m so sorry.”
One thing he did not miss about the muggle world was muggle memes and muggle children’s music.
"Anyway, are we done with questions? It's getting late and I want some sleep."
“Ever the gentlemen. Sleep, then.” Wyatt was not planning on sleeping, more like his body wouldn’t let him. He hadn’t had a night’s rest that lasted longer than 3 hours in a week. He hadn’t done anything in the last week, really.
Hadn’t eaten. Slept. Played an instrument. Processed anything. He was stuck in this bout of disbelief that he hoped wouldn’t go away. He didn’t want to face the reality that his mother was really gone, and that she was never. Ever. Going to come back.
Wyatt opened his suitcase and found a pair of sweatpants and a tee shirt, both different shades of green. He really was very... Slytherin, wasn’t he? The green reminded him of Perseus, who was still under the bed, but Wyatt hoped he would go away soon, through the window, or anything really.
With the loungewear, he made his way to the bathroom. Got dressed, and went back to Alec’s bedroom. He got into the bed and just laid there, staring at the ceiling. He eventually fell asleep, at what he didn’t know was four in the morning.
