New Beginning
Althea was bored. She had been spending most of her time at her dormitory doing homework or trying to look for her friend, Alex, who she can't seem to find around in the common room anymore. As a result, she decided to wander the school grounds and see if she could do something else in the Clock Tower Courtyard.
Althea looked around the courtyard, which was quite empty if she ignored the birds and insects within the bushes or near the vines on the pillars. She sighed, concluding there was no possible activity to do in the empty courtyard. She decided to simply try and befriend the birds in the area, seeing that they were the only other living thing here that were not cold-blooded.
Squatting down on the floor, Althea attempted to nab a few crows that rested on the ground or the bushes nearby. She tried to pick one up, but was rejected by a sudden squak and a bunch of feathers to the face. Puffing out her cheeks in annoyance, she continued to try her animal taming skills. She pounced and kicked, but all she seemed to get was plain, sad rejection. She wished she had more friends so she could be hanging out like the normal students in Hogwarts instead of doing whatever she was trying to do at the moment.
Half an hour of trying later, Althea managed to get a small brown bird into her palm. She pumped her fist at the victory, petting the tiny bird and cooing at its cute nuzzle as a response to her petting. Smiling softly, she sat down on the floor and continued to play with the adorable bird.

New Beginning

Cassie was bored staying in their dorm for the better half of the afternoon. With that thought Cassie decided to get out from their dorm room and passed Slytherin Common Room. The dimmed light of the Dungeon halls illuminated the surrounding pillars and walls give an eerie vibe.
Cassie loves being a Slytherin and it does not bother them at all with how the ambience of the Dungeon. Cassie took two steps at a time climbing up the stairs. They passed Potions Classroom, Kitchen and finally they arrived in the Courtyard Hall. Cassie about to make their way out to the school ground but something catch their eyes.
A sole single girl about their age wearing Hufflepuff robes on the Courtyard. Cassie leans into one of the pillar and watch the girl. Both of their hands crossed in front of their chest. It seems the girl tried to catch a few crows but failed miserably.When the crows suddenly squawked and a bunch of its feathers on the girl, Cassie try so hard not to laugh out loud.
Instead they laugh silently and watch the girl from afar. When the girl finally managed to get a small brown bird into her palm and the girl pumped her fist at the achievement, Cassie smirks. The girl petted the small bird and in return the small bird on her palm cooed. It was a rare sight to see a little bird cooed that so softly but Cassie can heard it from where they are standing.
"Are you always do that?"Cassie inquires the Hufflepuff girl as they walk toward the girl in question making their presence known. "You sure are an oddball"Cassie said to the girl. The way they say it almost like a term of endearment, there is no malice in their tone. "Cassandra Ironwoods"Cassie introduced themselves while standing beside the girl wearing standard uniform dress code and the mandatory black robe.
Both of their hand in the pockets of the robe. On top of their black robe with Slytherin insignia on the left side of their chest, laid Slytherin standard school uniform scarf on both sides of their shoulders.

New Beginning
"Are you always do that?" A female voice suddeny called out from behind, making Althea jump in surprise. The small bird in her palm seemed to be startled by Althea's sudden jolt and started to flail around. The Hufflepuff sighed as she petted the sparrow back to calmness, fingers carding through the soft brown feathers. Althea turned on her heel, spinning around swiftly to face the person. She brought her gaze towards the source of the voice, realising it was a girl around her age behind a pillar. A Slytherin, from the green coloured scarf and Slytherin standard uniform that Althea had seen her Slytherin friends wear. Althea tilted her head in confusion at the question, replying to the girl's inquiry, "I fancy birds, so when my friends aren't free to deal with me, I find some of these cuties to keep me company."
The Slytherin girl then walked from where they stood at one of the pillars and came closer to Althea, making Althea tense. Slytherins tend to be unpredictable, from what her father told her, so she was slightly hesitant when it came to interacting with the green house members. "You sure are an oddball," The Slytherin said to Althea, making the Hufflepuff feel a pang of offense. Althea knew she was indifferent and didn't have much experience when it came to socializing, but the other girl calling her an oddball out of nowhere - especially when they did not even know each other - was a slight jab to her pride. Despite that, the other said the term in an endearing tone without a single drop of venom, so Althea couldn't bring herself to feel mad.
"Cassandra Ironwood," The Slytherin introduced. Althea gave a slight bow of her head, "Althea Valeden. Pleasure to meet you, Cassandra."
