Hjørdis had to control her laughter as she witnessed the hufflepuff prefect turn her head of house into an Oompa Loompa. He was so orange. It was... hilarious. She smirked, using every ounce of her concentration to prevent herself from bursting into sudden laughter. He was covered in so many colours, with him becoming the target of everyone's attacks.
"You better watch out, if you want the bengal to be paint free!" Hjørdis instructed the young @Alan Vanes who came into the corridors with a currently paint free cat. The poor bengal was going to experience some recolouring if his owner did not take care.
She gripped her paint brush, flickering her gaze between the various targets. Waiting to see who made a move to her, and who she was going to aim at. That was when she caught his look. Caradoc Browne had a grin on his expression and... "Don't you da-" She started as her eyes widened slightly. He was coming for her. Hjørdis turned suddenly trying to dodge out of the way, rushing out of the way but she slipped a little on the paint on the ground, almost going straight into the floor. She managed to catch herself but she was not quick enough. Wait, where was he? She turned to see where he was and - it was too late. He had somehow caught up to her. How?! She was faster than him! She had won the race earlier!
Her eyes widened as she knew it was too late. She found herself in his grasp, staring into his blue eyes. Don't you dare, her look screamed back at him. But... He was daring. He was so daring! Paint from his hair dripped onto her clothes. She tensed up slightly, swallowing as she locked eyes with him. From the corner of her eyes, she saw his hand at the last moment - far too late to move. Her cheek was quickly covered in paint. He just- Hjørdis internally fumed. Her heart pounded as her glare narrowed. The badger was too bold.
Hjørdis almost sighed a breathe of relief as he moved away, but her anger did not subside, "Caradoc Cecil Browne, get back here, you oompa loompa!" She scolded, unleashing her wrath as the adrenaline surged through her as she pulled out his full name. She raised her hand - the one not carrying the paint can - and pointed it at him without hesitation after she caught her breath, "Impedimenta!" She snarled, attempting to hinder his movement and block his escape. She had no idea if spells were even allowed in this game but he cheated so she could too. If successful, she would jerk the open can of green paint towards him, attempting to hit him whilst he was hindered.
She focused her attack solely on the cause of her rage: Caradoc Cecil Browne!

Walking through the corridors with his basket of flags hanging from his arm, Chad felt a renewed sense of purpose as he watched all of the students running to and fro, decorating the whole castle with rainbows and glitter. This was what pride was about- expressing yourself in the most flamboyant ways possible, or in whatever ways you wanted to. Pride was about embracing the beauty of humanity, and the humanity of society, or whatever else sounded deep and meaningful. His smile widened as he even saw professors joining in on the fun and all the paint already splashed across the walls. The castle would look even more beautiful than it did at Christmas, he decided, which truly said something for the decorating prowess of the Queer community here at Hogwarts. Maybe the LGBTQIAP+ Club should be placed in charge of decorum for any and all future events in the castle.
Rolling his eyes (although, it was with a wide smile), Chad quickly cast an Umbrella Spell to protect himself, and more importantly, his clothes, from most of the paint being splattered everywhere. As much as he’d relish the feeling of getting dirty and colorful, he had a mission to do, and quite frankly, he liked his clothes too much to risk getting them soiled. Setting his basket down on the ground, he looked around for a suitable location to hang his flag. Pressing the flag against the wall, by some sort of magical plot device that made all of this make sense, the simple flag was stuck to the wall. However, Chad had no doubts that before long, it would get covered in splatters of paint from the rioting children running through the corridors- not that he cared all that much. He wasn’t some fantastic artist who’d spent forever on his masterpiece of a flag, nor was he particularly sentimental about the “art” he created. As long as he put stuff up, he didn’t mind what happened to it afterward.
Stepping back and admiring his handiwork, he nodded curtly in approval. It was nothing much, but he was still leaving his mark on the school today- literally. He may not have been the best student nor a star Quidditch player, but no one could say that he didn’t contribute to Hogwarts’ new decor. It was only a little bit, but a little bit was enough for him to feel good about himself. He looked hot, he was plastering his art all over the school, and it was Pride Month… it was a wonder that his head hadn’t exploded from his massive ego, at this point.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a girl flinging paint at the walls, and his gaze lingered on the figure for a moment before his mind caught up to him. No, no, no… she’s not Alexx, a voice whispered in the back of his mind, but it was too late and in vain. Scooping up the basket from the floor, Chad quickly crossed the corridors, reaching the girl’s side in no time flat. Oh, she was cute, too… big blue eyes, and the cutest splattering of freckles possible. She was no beautiful blonde Slytherin, but she was cute as a button, and Chad needed to have some fun today. Clearing his throat quietly, Chad’s wand appeared in his hand. With a smooth and quietly uttered “Orchideous!”, a single purple violet appeared in his hand. It was a spell he had been sure to practice thoroughly, especially for occasions such as these… you know, romancing a poor girl in the corridors. Typical stuff, right?
“Why, hello there,” he said quietly, with a warm smile at the… uh, much shorter girl. Seriously, he had to be at least a foot and a half taller than her, if not more. (It was actually exactly a foot and a half, but exaggeration made it sound better) “Pretty girls like flowers, don’t they?” he continued, keeping his voice smooth and silky, his hand lifting to tuck the violet right behind @Breana Oliveire’s ear. This sort of talk didn’t come as second nature to the fedora-wearing boy, but it felt natural to slip into this role- like slipping on a jacket, or putting on a hat. Besides, it was much easier to flirt when the person he was talking to was as pretty as Breana. “Not pretty, no…” he murmured, his eyes meeting Breana’s, as he took in the girl in front of him. “Gorgeous.”
With a jump and a rueful laugh, Chad stuck his right hand out for a handshake. “I’m so sorry! Where are my manners? I’m Chad, Chad Preoccupied. I know, silly little last name, isn’t it? I bet you have a lovely name though… After all, how can a girl as adorable as you not have an adorable name, to boot?” He winked quite blatantly at the girl, before glancing from the paintbrush in her hands to the paint splattered at the wall. If she was choosing to participate in this event, especially with something as drastic as paint… well, there may have been a chance that she was interested in girls, too. And it was that slim chance that motivated Chad to keep talking to her.
“Painting now, are we?” he said with a chuckle, shaking his head with a smile. “Well, I guess it’s about time that Hogwarts got a new paint job, don’t you think?” Glancing around the corridors, and seeing as no one was glaring daggers at him for talking to Breana, he could only assume that she was here alone. “Well, then, I hope you don’t mind some company. Do you mind if I join you?”

Still busy holding the cat into the air the student certainly did not realize any big changes right around him, such as two buckets starting to finally hover next to himself. He was grinning at tiger when with a splash he was suddenly covered in paint. It seemed to be going everywhere as it began to pour from the top of his head down to his shoes and even Tiger was not spared. All warning from @Hjørdis Jensen had been moments too late and worst of it all, the third had just been opening his mouth to respond to the snake's head of house which gave droplets of paint access to his mouth which made him splutter. Making a face of disgust he would try to wipe the paint from his face but all he did was smear the yellow and red pain together and mixing a uneven orange in the middle of his face.
Giving up on that for not the third year shook his head which caused paint to splatter from the strands of hair and hit the surrounding walls and possibly students. Tiger too was completely covered in the paint and resembled a cat that had fallen into a puddle of colorful mud which looked hilarious. But that was not a priority now, whoever had done this needed to get his revenge so Alan's eyes locked onto the dance loving head of house @Caradoc Browne. With a bright grin the third year grabbed a bucket of blue color from and skidded after the professor and as he passed the man he would build up momentum just to splash the bucket to his side and hopefully getting his revenge by covering the professor in some baby blue color. After that he would continue his sprint as he attempted to get to safety as he ducked into the nearest classroom he could find with the empty paint container in one arm while he clutched Tiger to his chest with the other.

Atlas could already feel her wet close sticking to her skin as she quickly took a hair tie from her wrist throwing her hair into a messy bun as she heard Annie plotting with her making sure to keep one eye on the corridor for any sneak attacks.
"Hold up the defense...no problem." Atlas coyly responded as she took a page out of Papa Badger's book and grabbed a fresh bucket of yellow paint placing one hand on either side of it to grip it tightly. After pouring a bucket of paint on Professor Jensen, Atlas thought her Head of House deserved to get a taste of his own medicine watching as he got out of the way of the next attack leaving her the opportunity to strike.
Her converse sliding on the floor, Atlas pushed her body forward and back to maintain her balance as she shakily held the bucket in her grasp feeling it gently slosh over the sides and onto her fingers. Thrusting the bucket forward but keeping it tight in her fingers, Atlas watched as the bright paint soared through the air in the direction of Professor Browne.
"How bout some house pride!" She taunted at Caradoc sticking her tongue out playfully as she quickly set the empty bucket down on the ground sliding it through some wet paint and out of the way as she tried to get ready for the next attack.
A young boy had entered with a kitty and although she had an insane urge to pet the kitty she knew she needed to stay focused or she would lose the great battle fight. Giving a small wave to the adorable bengal, Atlas turned her back on Caradoc as she raced to the table for more paint ammunition.
She had hoped her best friend and chaos other half would have found her by now but figured he got lost or distracted in another part of the castle, Atlas shook her head and laughed to herself knowing that if he did find her in this mess of pain that he would be covered before he would have a chance to say hi.

Jake had never heard of Pride Month, and didn't really know what it was. He had never really met anybody who was LGBT, or at least he hadn't known it, but he believed in equal treatment - all romance was gross.
He DID know a lot about paint, and colors. THAT he loved. So when he saw the giant painted banner, the cans and cans of paints of all different colors, and the paintpocalypse that had taken over the hallway his face lit up with shock and awe.
"Whoa....." the boy said.
It was like Hogwarts had been transformed into a child's painting. It was like a rainbow had dropped all over the halls. He watched the others - both children AND Grown-ups - laughing, throwing paint, and having fun. Even Professor Browne was there throwing paint around! Sometimes he acted just like a kid.
If it had been September Jake would have been very worried about mussing his clothes. He painted at home, but always had a smock, and he had never once thrown paint all over the place. That had been before magic. He had learned since then that it was ok if his robes got messy because magic meant they could be made clean again, and nobody got in trouble.
Still he was careful not to get TOO close. He didn't want to get involved in a paint war. Just wanted to watch it from the side. He saw the girl from the pool there too - but was too stunned to wave hi. Not only were the grown-ups throwing paint on the kids, the kids were throwing paint back on the grown-ups. The boy gaped around at the chaos, as Professor Browne was splashed by a paint monster! Not a monster - but a boy who looked a bit like a very colorful swamp monster. With a painted bundle of something in his arms. Something about him seemed verrrry familiar but soon a wide-eyed Jake realized that he was coming right for him!!
The empty paint can clattered to the ground, and Jake was just about to run out of the way when the cackling boy with the orange grin spoke. "Jake, run. We gotta run! Th-They are crazy!" the bigger boy said, in a slightly-stuttered voice that the eleven-year-old recognized right away.
It wasn't a swamp monster, it was Alan and Tiger! The words sounded urgent, but he must have been having fun or he wouldn't have been laughing so hard! From what Jake could tell everybody had gone crazy. The little Hufflepuff's wrist was grabbed suddenly, a painted handprint to show for it, and then he was dragged off - the two of them running into the nearest classroom.

Entering from Ravenclaw Common Room
Dealla came sprinting down the stairs with more speed than was probably wise. She was already sporting streaks of glitter on her face, held there by glue, and behind her trailed four balloons, each of them covered in a thick coat of glitter and held fast to her robes with strings. They were held aloft purely by her speed, and would likely bump into anyone who didn't jump out of the way fast enough when Dee sped past.
She was also likely leaving a cloud of glitter in her wake. She really hadn't skimped on the glitter while decorating those balloons.
However, nothing about the peaceful scene of rainbow-coloured crafting in her Common Room had prepared her for the full-on war raging in the corridors, so she really wasn't paying all that much attention when she skidded around a corner and entered a battlefield.
Dee froze, trying to take in the scene. The paint was everywhere: Splashed across the floors, walls and even parts of the ceiling, streaks in all colours flowing into each other. There were several people about, too, all of them dripping in paint and throwing more paint at each other at the same time. Some of them were students, none of which she recognized, at least not covered in paint as they were, and two adults. It took her a second, squinting, to recognize Professor Browne whose upper body and face were completely bathed in orange. Professor Jensen, who she was mostly familiar with from a few of the errands she had done in the past, was the other one, and a lot more easily recognizable, although not completely spared from the paint war raging around them.
The small Ravenclaw took a deep breath. She had really been on her way to meet her friend Ileen, but it looked like she would have to pass through this battlefield to do so, and she sincerely doubted she would be able to do so unscathed.
Storing one of the two glitter shakers she was carrying in a pocket of her robes, she quickly snatched a brush off a nearby table and dipped it into an open can of purple paint, before she set off running down the corridor, glitter balloons trailing through the air behind her.

Ileen dusted off her robe with a wrinkled forehead. On her way from the Common Room to this corridor she must have walked through three clouds of glitter and probably looked like a walking disco ball by now. Blinking violently, she tried to get the green and blue glitter grains out of her eyes. She had the feeling that something was happening again that she had no idea about. She really had to try and get some actual information. Surely, Dee would know what was going on.
She turned the next corner with vigour. Her mouth dropped open and she stopped in surprise as she took in the scene that took place here. The corridor was a battlefield in shining colors.
A soft giggle escaped her as she spotted her Head of House and Professor Browne throwing paint at each other, but they were not alone. Several students had joined the battle that seemed to be about life and death, as eagerly as they were fighting.
Ileen was stunned. Although she had already seen her Professor at some artistic events she had organized, this was art on another level. The young slytherin could not resist an amused snort. Well - honestly, for her it was the same as a makeup errand - only throwing paint at others and not herself. Her eyes scanned the people near her, but she knew the students mostly only by sight.
When she stood on tiptoe to get an overview of this chaos, someone caught her eye. On the other side of the corridor she spotted a small figure, with familiar jumping brown curls, who looked as if she was getting ready for battle. Several objects pressed against her, she seemed to take a deep breath, then she started running.
“Dee!” Ileen sounded more astonished than amused, even though she hadn't quite made up her mind about one of the emotions yet. Her friend probably couldn't hear her anyway - it was just too loud in here.
Reflexively, Ileen hopped down the stairs and started running towards her friend.
It felt a bit like she would let Dee walk alone into her doom if she just stood there. After a short hesitation she crossed her arms over her head and threw herself into chaos. But she did not get very far. When she avoided a splash of paint flying in her direction, she made a quick step forward, stepped into a puddle of paint, and slipped. “What - “ With a frightened squeal she slipped into the crowd with rowing arms. After a few feet, she lost her balance for good and crashed to the ground. Like a penguin on ice, she slipped further onto her stomach until she stopped a few inches later. “Ooof.”

Percival walked down the hall with little care. The boy was wearing a light brown shirt, one of his favorites, and a pair of slacks.Reducio
The boy's feet collided with the stone flooring as he walked down the quiet corridor. Percival played a small game in his head as he walked.
Fairly simple in design, the boy did his best to avoid the cracks that separated the stones. Percival did not really mind doing this small game.
Percival was staring at the ground trying to avoid every crack. Seeing how not many students were around, he didn't feel the need to act so proper.
Though, the boy was certain he would die if someone saw him, a Pureblood, playing such a stupid game.
Percival's head snapped up as he heard distant yelling and laughter coming from ahead. The noise was not terribly close to him, and he felt his curiosity spike.
The boy scrunched his nose up as he tried to figure out what exactly would be happening. Maybe it was a bunch of unruly Gryffindors thinking the owned the place.
It was not like that did not happen on a regular basis.
'Stupid Gryffindors.' he thought to himself in a judging manner.
As the boy continued to walk down the hall, he noted that the laughs and yelling grew louder. He guessed that whoever was in the corridor was loitering in the halls.
It irked Percival at the thought of having to keep his cool near a bunch of Gryffindors.
Gryffindors were honestly the worst house when it came to being polite and well-mannered. A bunch of hooligans they were.
Percival huffed to himself as he got closer and closer to the yells. Since he was closer, Percival began to hear the different ranges in the voices.
It hit the boy that some of the voices sounded very familiar, and that some of the voices sounded much older than a first-year.
The boy frowned as he rounded the corner, and froze as he saw exactly what was going on.
Percival saw not only students but professors covered head to toe in paint.
His gaze picked up the familiar form of Professor Jensen as she tried to run away from another Professor.
"Don't you da-"
The boy picked up his Head of House's words as she tried to get the Professor to think twice about getting paint on her.
His eyes widened slightly as he watched Caradoc streak paint down the other's cheek.
Percival watched as his Head of House began to blow up at the other. Even calling him by his full name as if she was scolding one of her many rebellious snakes.
The boy knew that Professor Jensen could be very mean when crossed. He had found that out when Opeila's little party had gotten busted.
Percival picked up a can of dark red paint, and slowly crept up behind the other Professor. The boy swung the can back before splashing the entire can's content onto the back of Professor Caradoc.
"Protect Professor Jensen!" he called loudly as he threw the bucket harshly to the ground.
The sound made a sharp bang as the metal can collided with the stone flooring of the corridor.
The boy could hardly care as leftover red paint-spattered across the stone floors, and began to look around for some more paint.
He glanced towards a girl on the floor who looked fairly familiar. It took him a second before he realized that it was a girl that Amara had been talking to at the party.
Percival could vaguely remember that he had introduced himself to her, and she to him. Though at the moment the boy could hardly even think of her name.
He was fairly certain it started with an 'I' or maybe even an 'L', but the boy was at a lost at what her name could be.
"You! Hurry splash Professor Browne!" he said quickly as he picked up a bucket of blue paint.
It was fairly clear that the boy hoped the girl would join him in obliterating Professor Browne with paint. Though he honestly doubted the Professor would let them get away with it.

Dee was sprinting down the corridor, her balloons flying behind her, and trying to dodge the wayward splatters of paint coming her way as well as she could. Still, it didn't take long until both she and her glittery tails were sprinkled in paint in different colours. It complemented the streaks of glitter on her face quite well, really.
Halfway down the hallway, she spotted a familiar face at the other side: It was Ileen, and she was running towards her, too. What?
Gaping in astonishment, Dee slid to a slippery halt. Why would Ileen run into this? What was the point of meeting in the middle of the war that was raging around them? They would then both have to get out of here!
But, as it turned out, that wasn't their biggest problem. As Dee watched, Ileen slipped in a puddle of paint and water, and, waving her arms wildly, went down in a splash of paint. Impressively, she even slid a bit further before coming to a stop. Dealla very much appreciated how dramatic the fall had been executed.
Dee couldn't help herself. As she saw her friend lying in the puddle of paint, apparently somewhat stunned from the situation, she burst out laughing so hard it made her stomach ache, completely unrestrained.
However, her joy at her Ileen's mishap didn't last long, either. Only a moment later, another boy entered the battlefield, one she vaguely recognized. Was that... Oh yeah! Guitar boy.
Dealla's mouth dropped open as, with complete disregard for his surroundings, the boy splashed an entire can of dark red paint in direction of Professor Browne, who was, coincidentally, standing right next to her fallen friend.
Now, it's rather hard to precisely aim while throwing paint around like a mad-man, so as could be expected, some of it, not to say a lot of it, missed the Professor, and instead rained down on Ileen in several splatters.
Squawking in outrage, Dee grabbed a nearby can of baby pink paint, and splashed its contents in the general direction of the boy who had just (inadvertently) covered her best friend in (even more) paint.
"Revenge for Ileen!" she shouted, and then realized that, well. She couldn't aim any better than Percival. Soo... chances were that she wouldn't just hit him, but also Ileen, and the two Professors, and anyone else who happened to be near. Oops.
Word requirement filled already.
Permission given by Ileen to be hit by Percival's paint attack.

A familiar voice spoke up. Protect Professor Jensen... She blinked. She recognised the voice but she could not tell exactly who it belonged to until her glance fell onto the young Mister Rainwood. The Slytherin wasted no time in getting set up and making a declaration to attack the Hufflepuff head of house whilst protecting here. That... was quite an unexpected sight. It warmed her heart a little.
Her spell hit Caradoc, slowing him down. She did not really need to throw more paint at him, however. It would appear that everyone was doing the same thing. Hjørdis lowered her hand that was pointing at him, having cast the spell. Everything was happening so quickly, a moment's pause was enough to catch her breath.
Her gaze flickered to his back, trying to actually process what was even happening in this chaos. For once though... it was quite a pleasant mess. For the first time in a while, she was not thinking about people getting hurt or the creepy crawlers in the dark. The paint everywhere was actually rather beautiful. It signified many things. Not only did each colour have a meaning in the pride celebrations, they also celebrated acceptance and love. Colours of life, healing, acceptance, self-love, love filled the usually sparsely decorated corridors.
Hjørdis bite her bottom lip. She only had a short time, seconds in fact, before it would wear off. Quickly moving, she moved in front of the man, dipping her hand into the green paint bucket she was still carrying and soaking it into paint. She dropped the can on the floor as she moved. Getting closer, she wiped her hand over his face in return, rubbing it in a little before running it down the side of his neck and leaning in, "Payback's a-" She whispered into his ear, finishing off the sentence that ended in a profanity quietly so no one else could hear. Her hand moved to his chest, she had started to wipe her hand on his shirt but it was pretty much also soaked in paint at this point that she was not getting it any cleaner... Pausing for a moment to look at it, she figured it was not helping. Scooping some of the white paint that he put on her with a finger, she booped his nose with it.
With that, she backed away as quickly as possible hoping that the spell lasted till then. It could have worn off at any moment. Swallowing, she exhaled softly. Pinning herself against the wall to get out of the way, in case he suddenly started to move at a normal speed, she continued, "I believe this colour goes well with your outfit, Mister Browne," She replied, dramatically looking him up and down to check out his rather multi-coloured assemble by now.
Suddenly, she turned and quickly moved down the corridor - away from him. "Oh, Mister Rainwood? Destroy him for me, will you?" She called out down the corridor with a smirk on her face as she gave the young Slytherin a firm nod of her head before quickly dipping out to make her exit as fast as possible.
Permission given by Caradoc to godmod the spell being successful.
