dancing the day away
As Amara was exploring the castle, looking for a private place. She eventually found herself on the fourth floor in the rehearsal room. Amara smiled and started to hum as she took off her robes exposing a leotard and dance skirt on underneath. She checked her bun in the mirror the make sure it was still up. She then walked over to the music station and put on classical music. Once the music was on, Amara started to stretch.
After she finished her stretching, Amara started to practice her turns letting herself fall into the comfortable pattern of turning and breathing. It had been a stressful first week and Amara was glad to have found a safe, calm space to practice her ballet; something very few people know about her love for. She has always been self-conscious about her dancing and was afraid others would mock her for enjoying such a muggle based activity, but she loved every part of it. As she turned, Amara muttered the words for spells she had learned trying to remember them.
After the turning, Amara started to work on the dance she had been choreographing when the door opened. Amara squeaked and stopped dancing, "Hello?" she said looking down.

Alec looked down as well. With a small laugh to put the girl at ease as he looked back up he said, "I-I don't exactly see what's so interesting about staring at the floor. But too each their own." Before his gaze went around the room. "Sorry u-um one of the professors told me to come up here grab something. Not exactly sure what they wanted me to grab, though. Shooed me away before I could ask any more questions," Alec explained.Before biting at his lip as curiosity grew over him. "Erm-um If you don't mind me asking yah, what exactly are you doing?" He asked, tilting his head. Both the music that had been earlier and what she was wearing intrigued the boy. He wasn't very familiar with anything muggle, so it wasn't that much of a surprise.Although it took a moment before he realized he was being weird. A question like that and even no mention of who he was. He scowled a bit, mostly at himself, before offering the girl a small smile. "S-sorry uh-nevermind that. My name's Alec. And yours is?" He asked, tilting his head once again as he overlooked the girl.Her hair in buns and wearing something that looked like a one piece swimsuit. And a skirt. This confused the poor boy. Like almost anything muggle did. It was a far stretch if he understood something muggle. Mostly it was muggle slang to be exact that he understood. Not girls in one piece swimsuits and skirts.

dancing the day away
@Alec Mason
The boy keeps rambling on. First, he explains what he is doing here than asks what she is doing and then introduces himself. As he keeps talking, Amara covers her chest with crossed arms waiting for him to stop. When he finally does, Amara starts to respond, "I am not staring at the floor," Now that she has organized herself, her voice is no longer meek, "I was dancing. Why a professor would ask you to do something and not tell you what is beyond me. What class was it for... Alec was it?"
She knows that she sounds somewhat rude or cold, but Amara does not care. Alec seems almost confused she realizes. He keeps looking at her outfit as if he has never seen a dancer before. She turns down the volume of the music and starts to crack her knuckles as he inspects her and in turn she inspects him.
Amara realizes that he is a Griffendore and resists rolling her eyes. How is it that someone in the house of 'heroes' knows nothing about one of the most common forms of muggle dance. He must be wizard born. Amra stares Alec down as she continues to wait for his answer.

@Amara Dragamior Sorry Alec seems a bit judgy at the moment!Alec gave her a small awkward smile. "Charms" He said with a small shrug. It could probably wait though. Alec was more curious about what kind of dancing she was doing, anyway. He wasn't much of a dancer himself. In fact, he only really knew of ballroom dancing and he was really, really bad at it.Once this girl had gained her composure, there was more confidence to her voice. Alec had probably startled her earlier when he walked in on her. Besides, what kind of dancing required people in one piece swimsuits and skirts? I mean not that Alec didn't think it was cool. Just odd. It seemed like fun, though. Maybe he'd have to try it out sometime.And she didn't even say her name. Well, her name is girl then.. She then went on to turn down the music she was dancing to as she.. Stared at him? Alec wasn't exactly sure. "Interesting type of dancing.. How do you do it, anyway?" Alec asked. Hoping this would clear both the awkward tension and Alec's slight confusion to this type of dancing. She didn't seem like she'd be the type of person to show him how.And he'd probably walked in on something very personal. But he decided he'd still ask, anyway. He'd only really caught a glimpse, anyway. That didn't exactly feed his curiosity on the subject.
