Midnight Mayhem Part 1
Lucia kindly ignored Alina's comment about her grades, feeling that the girl probably wouldn't want her to comment on it. Lucia's grades were very up-and-down - she did quite well in subjects she enjoyed, like Potions and Transfiguration, but spent most other classes either making her way through them with almost no enthusiasm or, in very few cases, giving up entirely and doodling hearts and dresses on her parchment.Interacting with @Alina Rosier
She nodded at the suggestion of a banner - she was curious to see her new friend's art skills.
"I.. yes, I do miss them," Lucia told Alina in response to her question (well, it was really a statement) regarding her sisters. "I miss them a lot. Sisters... Well, you know what it feels like," She glanced at her friend. "When they're there, you often can't wait to get rid of them, but when they're gone you wish they were with you,"
Her face brightened. "Briar will be joining Hogwarts next year, she's eleven already,"
Lucia hoped that her brainy younger sister would be Sorted into Ravenclaw, as she had always wanted. Ebony didn't mind Ravenclaw too much - apparantly it was a 'novelty' to have a brainiac in the family.

"Yeah, especially the prefects," she shook her head. "I couldn't imagine being one of them. They're got their nose so far stuck in a rule book that they can't seem to have fun in the greatest place there is." She at least loved Hogwarts. Not only was it surrounded in such mystery, even for someone growing up with magic like her, but it seemed to have a mind of its own. It seemed to grow, change, and play harmless tricks on her.
"Now I don't know how they go about this. Maybe you could make a secret invitation or something and slip it to the right people?" She knew Lucia would probably want to take action on that part since it was her idea, and a great one at that.
"We should do it soon!" because Alina liked a good gathering. "And hey..." she paused because she meant this and was serious, but the last time she brought up Lucia's family she sort of felt like she was getting snapped at, "...If it's a problem that you get detention, if this does get discovered, you can put all blame on me and I'll meet the consequences. Trust me, no one at home is going to care if I get one. Know one will even know because they don't care. I'm invisible there but it can come to our benefit for this."

"We won't get caught," she said firmly. Lucia was pretty sure that if she did, detension would be a problem, but she wouldn't let Alina take the blame even so. It had been her idea, after all - and even if the girl was 'invisible', as she put it, Lucia wouldn't let other people suffer for her own decisions.
"Ok, I can write owls and send them to people. Have you got a spare bit of parchment or paper that I could use please?" she asked, looking to her friend.
Alina nodded and ripped a page out of the back of her notebook.
"Thanks," Lucia said, taking it, and rummaged in the pockets of her robes for a quill and some ink. She found a rather bent but useable quill, and a small stoppered pot of ink which had almost run out. She looked at it doubtfully, biting her lip as she thought of the words, then unstoppered it and dipped in the quill.
She wrote:

Lucia Fox and Alina Rosier invite you to a secret midnight party!
There will be snacks, music (quiet of course), games and dancing.
It will take place on Saturday at midnight, in the Hufflepuff common room.
If you would like to join us, please RSVP by sending an owl to either Lucia Fox or Alina Rosier.
As we do not want to get detention, please do not tell anyone about this event, and if you come please wear your regular pyjamas.

There. The last two lines were a bit faded, but it was all legible.
She waited a moment for the ink to dry, blowing gently on the paper, then handed it to Alina.
"How's that?" she asked.
"I can copy it out to send to Lindsey and Alexa, but I think you should probably write one to send to Clifton - or just ask him in person. You'll need to ask him if he knows three trustworthy boys as well."
ReducioWe can make a thread in the Letters subforum containing the invites and tag in the invitees so they see them.
Then we could give them till maybe Friday next week to RP their response and make the thread in the common room on Saturday.
We could keep that up for maybe a week, then say that's the end of the event - what do you think?
