Wisteria stepped towards the looming library doors, staring up at them with excitement.

Finally. The Hogwarts library. It's been one of my biggest dreams to come here.
Wisteria reverently opened the doors and stepped inside, hoping not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere. The first thing she saw were the seemingly endless rows of books, with a carpeted walkway in between. She stood there for a second, paralyzed with immense happiness.

Wisteria found an empty table and sat down, taking in the calm, quiet atmosphere. She could finally read in peace, without people shouting and screaming all the time.

And without anyone judging my love for Muggle books...she thought, opening her bag.

Wisteria had brought one book with her. She figured she'd read it in this perfect atmosphere, and then read the books the library offered. She took the book she'd brought out of her bag.

No Longer Human. A masterpiece of psychological fiction and existential dread. Others may find it dark, but Wisteria loved it. She flipped to the page she was on and started reading it, completely immersed in Oba Yozo's alienation.

...

The second she finished it, she put it down and just... thought. About life. About grief. About clowning. She always did this with books she finished reading. She couldn't fully escape the world in the books. But she had to this time.

Right. Studying exists, she thought, already annoyed at the thought. She got out her school textbooks and started reading, No Longer Human put to the side.

"Human beings, who would betray each other in an instant, were capable of looking at the most beautiful, pure things without noticing." -Oba Yozo, No Longer Human

December initially thought he was just walking around school aimlessly, but, seemingly without realizing it, he'd ended up gravitating towards the library. It wasn't until he almost walked into someone and it jarred him out of his thoughts that he looked up, and saw that he was right in front of the library's doors. Well, it'd be nice to go to the library today, wouldn't it? Seeing as I'm already here... Prometheus thought to himself with a little smile, then made his way inside.

He continued to walk around with no actual objective, but in a much more relaxed manner than before. Something about being surrounded by bookshelves was calming, in a way. Well, at least, more so than hundreds of loud students. Sometimes, I just need a break from it all...

Eventually, the absentminded thoughts started to fade, and he began to weave his way through the endless shelves to reach one of his favourite reading spots; a somewhat secluded table with the most lovely cushioned seats. He liked it particularly because of both the desk; which sat neither too high nor too low, and the pillows; which were neither too enveloping nor too flat, which he thought to be perhaps a sort of Goldilocks situation.

Only, when he reached the aforementioned spot, he sighted another student already comfortably seated there, probably enjoying the peace and quiet of the secluded spot. He didn't exactly want to ruin that for her, so he figured he might as well be on his way. Yet, for some reason, he didn't move, and instead found himself leaning a little closer from behind a shelf to observe her. She looked as though she was in quite a peaceful spot, entirely immersed in whatever she was reading.

Almost too much so, even... Prometheus observed. He seemed to have arrived as she was just finishing the book, because the remaining pages to be read were quite sparse, and thinning still. She was obviously focused, but her expressions changed every now and then, and it was really quite intriguing to see. She flipped a page and her expression eventually became a thoughtful one, in that sad, squinty-eyed way, like something just nearly makes sense, but it shouldn't.

Some book, He thought with a small shiver. Oh. Wait, she's finished it? He saw her close the book and she seemed to take a moment to think, which, valid. Then she put it away, and took out what looked like study material. Oh, she's about to start working on something else. I wonder if I could talk to her, since I won't be interrupting her reading now...? Prometheus thought for a moment, before deciding that his social anxiety could stuff it, and walked over to the table. There were more than a few chairs' worth of sitting room, but it was up to her, really.

"Excuse me, d'you mind if I join you here?"
