Aelis felt her face heat up, she bumped into someone… again. Maybe that’s her superpower. She looked at the girl, taller than her and older. She held back a gasp, ”This girl is beautiful…” she thought. Her face was framed by pink curls, but a waterfall of blond hair was behind her head.

“A-ah, pardon me… I didn’t mean to be in your way.” she moved to let the girl walk with what seemed to be her family. “Damn gay panic…” she groaned inside.

“Aelis?” she heard he father call. “What do you want for ice cream?” she turns to him with a bright smile, he is the only one of her family who didn’t look at her with disgust when they learned she was Slytherin. That’s why she hangout more with him than her mother. “Like usual! Mango and chocolate.” yes, this is weird. But it actually tastes really good¹. The sweetness from the mango mixed with the warmth of the chocolate is a perfect mix for summer… or every other seasons.

She can’t help but look a bit at the girl she just met… met is a big word. Just talked to is better. She’s really pretty, but she can’t help but be a little annoyed at her harsh tone. “Who does she think she is?” she think with a frown, this girl may be pretty but her personality isn’t.

Alicia and her family went outside to eat the ice cream they bought and they all stood around chatting. Alicia's gaze fell on Aelis and she frowned. The girl was obviously British and probably went to Hogwarts. A stuck up British girl. A girl that thinks she can own the place and invade other people's personal space. Cassidy was talking and Alicia pulled her attention away from the girl in the ice cream shop and back to the conversation. Apparently they were talking about Cassidy's next steps since she was no longer attending Durmstrang. Alicia listened as Cassidy explained that she was going to head to the Ministry to enter the Auror exams. The family was stoked that their eldest daughter was going in for something so good for the Wizarding World. Alicia chimed in. "The summer camp this year is going to be the theme of different departments! I signed up for the Department of Mysteries. I even got an owl stating my partners and there's a girl there that sounds super cool! Her name is like the definition of cool! @Evgenia Starkova!" As her family started to wonder what would happen at summer camp that year, Alicia's eyes were drawn once again to Aelis and she frowns a bit before standing up to go throw away her melted ice cream cone.

Aelis could feel the girl eyes on her. “Is she trying to make a hole in my head or something?” she thought, it was a bit scary to be observed like that. “Scary…”

When she heard the older girl pipes up in the conversation with her family, she’s in the summer camp? Just like Aelis, that means they will see each other? Let’s hope she won’t assassinate her. She signed up in the department of mysteries? That’s cool, not really Aelis’ type, but still cool. Aelis signed up in the department of regulation and control of magical creatures, she’s so excited! Hopefully she will love it and then will be able to join it when older! Joining the dragon research and regulation bureau would be a dream coming true! She sighs, “Don’t get your hopes too high, Aelis. It’s not even sure your parents will keep paying for your stay at hogwarts. Especially since they learned you’re a Slytherin.

She remembers very well the disgust in her grandmother’s eyes, the disappointment in her mother’s eyes when she came back from her first year. That day, she stayed in her room singing to calm herself, of course, she sang musicals. She always loved theatrical songs, lost in her thoughts, Aelis forgot the other girl and started humming while waiting for her father to return.
