On the Train Open Closed

Allie looked up. "Oh!" Her first thought was that she wanted to keep reading. Then she decided, Oh, whatever. I need to meet others anyway. "Of course!" She said warmly, setting her book down. She unzipped her back and put away the book, then turned back to face the girl. "You need to get away from all the noise out there too?" she asked, smiling a little. "I'm Allie by the way," she said. A second later, a voice could be heard ringing throughout the corridor of the train.
"Anything from the trolley?" The Trolley Witch appeared at the compartment's sliding door with a trolley full of sweets.Allie glanced at the girl across from her and said to the Witch,
"Um, can I please have a chocolate frog?" The Witch nodded and fished out a chocolate frog from the bottom of a large pile of Pumpkin Pasties. Allie saw them and she grinned. "And two pumpkin pasties please," she added. Pumpkin Pasties were her absolute favorite sweet. The Trolley Witch chuckled.
"Of course dear." she handed Allie those as well. Allie took them from the Trolley Witch and set them down on her lap. She thought about getting more, for there was still a few hours left in their journey, but then decided against it. She turned to the girl across from her.
"What's your name?" She asked, wondering if the girl was getting anything from the trolley.

I´m walking alone and trying to find place where to sit. I don´t know anyone here, so I don´t have any people with who to sit and talk. I see two girls who are ordering something. Everything is so new to me. I´m thinking, that maybe they would want to sit with me. No I dont think so... What if they don´t like me? I stop walking and watch them thoughtfully. Maybe they don’t like muggle-born? I´m trying to remember, how my father used to say that I am good the way I am and he loves me forever. I take a long breath and go to girls. Then I just say: "Hello, can I sit here?" I can´t believe that I just came and said that. Maybe I´m as brave as my father said? I´m smiling a little bit. Maybe they dont even care that I am muggle-born? I really wish that they wan´t to sit with me. I just wan´t make friends. I´m just I’m afraid they won’t like me and I’ll be left outside again. I still smile, even though my mind is still running the circle. I rub my other hand nervously, waiting for an answer. I tilt my head a little.

"It's nice to meet you too," Allie replied to Elizabeth. "I'm from Westbury, England." She smiled warmly and then opened up a Pumpkin Pasty, sighing with pleasure when she took her first bite. Just then, the compartment door slid open again and a ginger haired girl peeked in. Allie had noticed her standing outside the sliding door for a while, probably waiting for the trolley witch to leave so she could come inside. She looked a little nervous, so Allie tried her best to be welcoming and kind as the girl asked if she could come and sit there with them. She smiled at the girl. "Of course!" Allie said. Maybe sitting in a compartment with these girls wouldn't be as loud and noisy as the other one had been. They seemed quiet enough. Allie waved the girl inside and added, "I'm Allie Lewis and this is Elizabeth." She paused, glancing at Elizabeth. Sometimes people didn't like to have someone else introduce them. Then she continued. "Want a pumpkin pasty?" Allie held out her right hand, which held the wrapped sweet. Her left hand, however, was still holding her own unwrapped pumpkin pasty which she hurriedly finished and looked at the girl, still offering her the treat.

When Elizabeth pulled out her school book, Allie thought, Yes! Someone else who loves to read! She quickly nodded and grinned as she reached into her own bag and brought out her copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, showing it to Elizabeth.

"Funny," she said, opening up to her page, halfway through the book. "I was just reading this when you came in!" Then she looked at the new girl and asked, "Do you like to read?" Allie hoped so!

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them was the second to last school book she had to read before she had finished all of them! Allie was a lightning fast reader, and she had a really good memory as well, so everything she learned stuck fast in her brain.

"Also," Allie added, "have you read any of your other school books? If you have, which is your favorite?" she asked, curiously. In her opinion, Fantastic Beasts was one of her favorite school books, (Yes, she had a favorite schoolbook!) as well as A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot. But she really did like them all and was even planning to read them all again once she finished them, if she didn't find other books that were more interesting.

Allie was very glad to hear that Elizabeth seemed to love reading as much as she did. And she liked a History of Magic as well! Most other witches and wizards found that one to be the most boring of them all because it was literally a History of Magic, and they didn't seem to like history very much. Even Allie's own father wasn't very enthusiastic about the book.

"Oh, I love a History of Magic! I also really like Quidditch Through The Ages, although that is one of the only books I would rather be actually doing than reading, you know?" Allie paused and thought about Elizabeth's other question, and after a while she thought of her answer.

"I think I will be in Ravenclaw, or possibly Slytherin. I would much rather Ravenclaw though, my mother was one." she explained. She actually hadn't thought about it much, thinking more of when classes were supposed to start and what types of things they would learn on the very first day of classes. But it was true, she really, really wanted to be sorted into Ravenclaw, not only because her mother had been in it but also because she just felt like she would belong there. Truthfully, she probably wouldn't belong in any other house.

Allie smiled. "Thanks, and I really think you would make a good Ravenclaw as well, or actually. . ." she paused, thinking about her answer. "A Gryffindor." Then she smiled even wider.

"Best friends?" she asked, only a little bit hesitantly. "Really?" If Elizabeth said yes, Allie would already have a good friend - and she wasn't even at Hogwarts yet! She also really enjoyed talking to Elizabeth. Looking out the window where Elizabeth's hand was, Allie nodded. She hadn't realized that it would be raining that day.

"I think we will be there soon, we've been on the train for what feels like hours!" Allie stopped talking for a second as she thought, looking out at the drips of rainwater slipping silently down the windows. "Do you already have your school robes on?" she asked Elizabeth, trying to be prepared for arriving at the school.

Allie did, she had worn them all the way to the station in the morning, trying to be as prepared as she could for the adventures ahead of her. Of course, she had been one of the only ones with her school robes on already, but Allie didn't mind very much, the robes were comfy and she wouldn't have to change on the train.

Allie grinned. She liked that Elizabeth was so excited to become friends with her so she immediately shook her head after Elizabeth apologized.

"No, no!" Allie objected. "You aren't going to fast, it's fine." She shook her head hard. "I really wanted to meet new friends, and this is better than I could have ever hoped for!" She gave Elizabeth a small, slightly awkward smile, a bit embarrassed.

Allie nodded. "Me too, I put mine on super early because I didn't want to be unprepared and I mean, they are comfy at all, you know?" She smoothed down the front of her robes after she readjusts the way she is sitting. Then she glanced out the window, getting hungrier as Elizabeth mentions it.

"Ugh, I hope we get there soon!" She said after a while. "All this waiting to be sorted is also getting on my nerves. I just want to know my house as soon as possible," she added. That's when she saw the large black outline come into view, towering over the train. She almost jumped with excitement.

"There it is!" she shouted, only feeling a tiny bit silly for shouting in the train. "Look! It's Hogwarts!" she leaned towards the window, trying to see as much of the large castle as she could.

I answered questions in between in a low voice. for example, whether I like reading. And so I like. Alongside music, it is an escape from real life. But I like more fiction books. Fantasy, sci-fi, love ...
I love the feeling of getting immersed in someone else’s life and forgetting mine. I really hope I can chat with these girls another time. They were nice to me against my expectations.
Maybe we could become friends? It may be too much to ask if they don’t even like me.

When Hogwarts appears, my mouth snaps open. I knew that Hogwarts is gorgeous, but I never tought that it would be that awesome. Perfect scenery, tall towers that almost touch the sky, green grass, old stone bricks, birds flying on the sky...
"It´s so beautiful.." I say. I always dreamed of place like this. I can´t believe that my life with magic have really started. I´m just extreamly happy. Maybe I will fly with birds, maybe I get better life? Maybe, just maybe I will fall in love with someone. Maybe the guy -or girl, no one knows- Loves me? And we are happy. But not yet. Im just a child. Now the most important thing is learn all about magic and make friends. Maybe this will go well. I can do this. I´m sure.

Allie nodded, agreeing with the other two girls as the three of them stared out the train window at the castle in front of them. It was beautiful, and Allie couldn't wait to get there! She stared out the window for a little bit longer and turned back just in time to catch the end of Elizabeth's question to Lily. She was still able to figure out the whole question though, and she looked at Lily for an answer. Lily seemed a little shy to Allie, but of course she didn't really mind, she knew plenty of shy people and they were all still wonderful people. She turned back to the window as she waited, and watched the large structure grow ever closer. The train was going quite fast, and soon Allie could see more details of the castle: all the balconies that hung from it, and all the towers. Her heart was racing as the castle came closer and closer and closer. . . What if she didn't make very many friends? What if she was sorted into the wrong house? What if, what if, what if. . . That was all that was running through her head, so she quickly turned back to face the other two girls in the compartment with her to try and distract herself.
