This weekend was especially boring. All the older students had gone to Hogsmeade for the day. It was so unfair, they could go shopping and have fun while she was stuck in this stupid castle. It wasn't even like she didn't have money to spend, she had enough, just that the rule said that only third years and above were allowed to go.
Jada wandered down the corridors of the school aimlessly, there were so many that she was bound to get lost eventually. That should provide some kind of entertainment for a while. Unless there was something else she could do. She did have her wand on her. A smile spread across her face at the thought, a harmless little prank wouldn't hurt anyone would it?
Though she was far from knowing many spells, she knew enough that she could work with. Lets see... Verdimillious or Periculum, she could scare someone with the sparks... Oooh, she could follow someone around and lock every door they tried to enter...
She kept walking as she thought. The biggest question of all was who to do it on. Since most of the older students were away, it would have to be someone their age. Perhaps some unlucky person would just walk her way?

Robin was on the prowl. It had been far, far too long since she'd performed an adequate prank on someone, and she was looking for the perfect target. Someone unsuspecting - preferably unknown, so the crime couldn't immediately be linked back to her. The castle was not nearly as crowded as usual, considering there was a Hogsmeade visit currently. Robin didn't mind when the castle was empty, though. Less eyes watching her do whatever she wanted. She didn't know exactly what she planned to do, but she was forming ideas in her mind. She had a few different potions stored in her deceivingly large satchel - maybe Robin could come up with something involving only mild pain to her victim.
Robin's eyes scanned the corridors as she meandered until they landed on a girl in green. Her curly hair was not much unlike Robins, differing in length as the locks fell to the girl's waist. The girl was gorgeous, and the Ravenclaw couldn't quite take her eyes off the younger girl. Something took over Robin's unconscious mind and she stumbled over to the girl who seemed to be scanning the halls just as thoroughly. This was so unlike herself, she didn't quite know what she was doing, but she allowed for her natural older sister instincts to kick in as she popped up beside the girl, crossing her arms and tilting her head with a smirk on her face.
"You look like you're up to some trouble." She said, her amusement obvious. "I'm Robin. Need a hand?"

Jada inhaled sharply, not expecting to be interrupted. Turning to face the older girl behind her, she replied, "Why not, I'm Jada, by the way." The girl seemed older than her, if not only from the way she looked, but also how she held herself. As if she had a certain amount of superiority to her. In fact, they didn't look too different, the two of them. Although Jada thought she certainly didn't look like the kind to cause trouble 'round the school.
She continued, "It's kinda just too peaceful here, you know," blabbing to everyone what she wanted to do probably wasn't the best idea but, she had a feeling that Robin had gotten herself into enough trouble before to know how to avoid it. "But I wasn't going to do anything much, maybe just trip someone down the stairs or something."
The thrill of breaking the rules filled her. First of all, they'd need to find the perfect spot. Somewhere that wasn't frequented by teachers or prefects and where they'd have enough time to prepare before someone came their way. The stair idea significantly narrowed down their options, perhaps something more subtle would be better. "You got any better ideas?" Robin would, after all, have more experience doing this than her.

"You're right," Robin responded lightheartedly. "So peaceful. And absolutely boring as hell," she looked Jada up and down, already feeling like she liked the younger girl. Robin looked around for anyone who could possibly be watching them. Noticing a few people, Robin whispered," Too many eyes here. Follow me!" And took off down the hallway at a fast-paced walk - way less stealthy than she probably thought she looked, but nonetheless fun.
"You're on the right track with the stairs…." Robin trailed, leading Jada through the halls and to the spot where she had been pushed down earlier this year by a Slytherin girl. Nobody had seen her fall then, and nobody would see this unlucky victim fall either.
"Here." Robin stopped behind a tapestry near the stairs leading up to the fourth floor and knelt, rummaging through her bag. Only a few students frequented this area at this time of day, but they still had to work quickly. "Where… is it?" Robin murmured to herself as she pushed through the miscellaneous things in her bag. "There!”
Robin pulled out a vial of Babbling Beverage, freshly brewed over the weekend. She had three doses, this being the first. She'd been waiting for the perfect moment…
"On the count of three, I'm going to cast the Slippery Jinx on that top step." She points out the nearest staircase, their position partially hidden by the tapestry. "The next sucker who walks down that staircase is going to for a little unexpected trip down the stairs where you, my dear Jada-" Robin wrapped one of her hoodie-swamped sleeves around the girl's shoulders and smiled mischievously, lowering her voice even further. "- Will use the levitation charm to drop this beautifully brewed Babbling Beverage on 'em." The Ravenclaw cleared her throat dramatically, shoving the vial into Jada's hand. "Renders the affected party unable to form a coherent sentence," she croaked in a mock imitation of their potions professor. "Whad'ya say? Ready to piss off some arsehole with me and probably get away with it?"

Jada followed the older girl eagerly, wondering where they were off to. She’d said the stairs had been a good idea so, probably another one, no? They walked along the portrait decked hallways, Jada half jogging to keep up with her, to a part of the castle she had never been to before.
They approached a short flight of stair, coming to a halt. Jada had lost all orientation of where they were but that didn’t matter. She would find her way back eventually. Robin was right, it was much more private here than where they were before. She couldn’t help but wonder what they would do here. Maybe they would scare someone making them tumble off. It was then that Robin began rummaging in her bag.
“What are you looking for?” she asked, “And what on earth is in that bag?” she added as the items in her bag clinked together during her search. She hadn’t brought much along with her herself. In one pocket was her wand and a few stray candy wrappers in the other. Luckily, Robin seemed to be more prepared.
After what seemed like forever, she held up a vial of bright red liquid. A potion? Maybe they would slip it into someone’s bag and it would explode? She directed her questioning gaze at the girl, waiting for an explanation.
Jadas eyes widened with each word that left Robins mouth until they gleamed in the dim light. “that’s genius,” she said. In no world would she ever have concocted such a brilliant plan. She even giggled at the rendition of their potions teacher.
The only part that worried her was her own. What if they don’t open their mouth? What if… no. It would go fine. Everything would go as it should and they wouldn’t get caught. Right? Either way, it was too late now, she could do it and she was going to.
“Hell yeah,” she answered, moving to the bottom of the staircase where she would wait. Holding her wand at the ready, she muttered the spell under her breath, practicing the movement with her hand. You can never be too ready for something. Now all they had to do was wait.
