Similar to what any other students would do in a study room, she was studying. God that's an awful beginning nevertheless, today Selene was studying on her own. Of course, she would be on her own! She prefers it that way. It's not that she doesn't have any friends it's just that she doesn't believe in those kinds of bs, well not anymore to say the least. What? Did she hope for one? Did she long for one? No. The taste of betrayal still lingers somewhere inside her, everything, everything that happened how could she forget? Duh. It was only a few months ago. Selene didn't need those kinds of distractions. She was more than happy to do things for herself. Right now, her mind was somewhere else, usually, she would be daydreaming but as of the moment she was studying for potions class. She was a prodigal learner after all. She will always have to be two steps ahead of everyone in terms of classes. She's a Slytherin, it's in her blood to always be the best of the best. If not then how did they win the house cup last month? There's also a high chance that they'll win again this month. Come to think of it, she just now realize that the school is a preparatory one, huh, took her some time to realize it.

Her hair was tied up in some sort of a messy bun type while her lips were clamped shut. Nothing else matters aside from what's in front of her right now, books and more books, homework, and more homework! A lot of people think that her favorite subject would be potions since she's a prodigal potions learner. But no, it's boring for her. Her favorite subject out all would be both Charms and History. Her favorite teacher would be her transfiguration teacher, of course, her randomness made the class more interesting, and dare she say fun! Selene let out a sigh, she was almost done with her homework. After this, she just needs to make another mind-map of the lessons that were taught today, after that, off she goes to her room and going to sleep, of course not forgetting a cup of tea and one apple. It's important to stay healthy at times like this. With that in mind, she should also drink some vitamin tablets. She was minding her own business, nothing much not happening. She did wish something was going to happen at least. Something that would cure her boredom.

Nevertheless, she continued on with her studies. It was peaceful and quiet, as said before, the way she wants it and the way she likes it to be. How long has it since she's been sitting on this chair? Maybe a bit too long, otherwise it wouldn't explain the reason why her lower part feels sore. Maybe she's been studying way too long for her own good. Maybe she was supposed to be sorted in Ravenclaw? Maybe in an alternate universe, but even if she was sorted into any other house, Her twisted mind will always remind. A sly smirk showed up on her face as she recalls the event of meeting four girls in the top of the astronomy tower. Ah, the rushing feeling when she would bend someone's words so they can chew them up again! How amusing! proving how she was slightly more superior in the situation. She waited and waited but perhaps nothing interesting would happen today, making her bite her lower lip before rolling her eyes. Ah, how she hopes.

The clumsy Gryffindor stumbled in through the doorway, tripping over her own feet as she did so and earning a few reproving glances from a few quiet, studious souls who only wanted to read in peace in return. She got up, dusting herself off as she did so, and sat down by a relatively empty table (only occupied by a single slytherin girl). She turned her bag upside down and spilled her books all over the table, making quite a disturbance doing so. Janet turned the page of a book, boredom written all over her features, not that she didn't like reading. She just didn't like studying. And to be honest she came in the study room so little that she had nearly forgotten what it looked like. The only reason she was in here at all was because of the coming up history of magic exam she had. Usually Janet was to be found "studying" in the noisy and chaotic common room (oddly one of Janet's favorite studying environments) but some of her more responsible friends had insisted she couldn't concentrate properly and she had reluctantly went off to the study room. She sighed heavily as she re-read the same sentence about 15 times (she just couldn't concentrate on such boring shit like this) and got a couple more glares in return. Really it was amazing how much of a disturbance Janet could make when she wasn't even talking!

Selene was doing just fine, reading on her own, and studying peacefully while her mind was occupied by too many answers for one single question. At the same time, it bugged her. But she was happy to clear her mind by studying. You could say she enjoys it..? No, that's not it. Who would ever enjoy homework? Ravenclaws perhaps or maybe a couple of Slytherin students. But setting that aside, the room was peaceful with a couple of other students doing their own thing. The room had a dusty smell to it, it somehow reminded the young witch of her father's office. It brings both, bad and good memories. A nostalgic feeling, one would say. Cursed memories that will always dwell inside of her. Like a tattoo that just never seems to erase itself, it will always be apart of her and she can't ever run away from it, but for sure she can push it away and keep it locked down shut. She's self-conscious of the fact that she will one day need to face it again.

The young girl once again sighed. She pinched the bridge of her nose, it was clear to anyone that comes close to her that she wasn't in the mood to talk. She crossed her arms and legs, with a blank stare plastered on her face. She looked around the place of the study room, the sound of other students studying as they open up a book, flipping through the pages to find what they are looking for. The view from the study room wasn't so bad after all, it was quite pleasing considering it's placed on her bored. the second floor. There were many windows and bookshelves in every corner of the room, not as many as the library tho. Her ice-blue eyes reflecting the place as she examines it. Come to think of it, the study room could be a good place for hiding or to escape somewhere out of the school.

It was then that, Selene decided to go back to her studies. That is until a blonde-haired girl, decided to surprise everyone with her presence. Selene eyed her for a moment, examining her. It was already known to all in this room that the girl was a clumsy one. No, she didn't think of her actions as that annoying of a disturbance. However, she did found it quite interesting, just a little. The girl as far as the eyes can tell does not have any benefits that she can offer, meaning she's useless to Selene. But she could be a distraction for a short while for her. After all, all these revisions and mind maps got her bored. She pretended to be focused on her studies, glancing at the girl as she sat next to her. She was about to examine her behavior. But her being tremendously annoying makes it even harder for Selene to either continue her studies or to read the girl. She clicked her tongue under her breath. Nevermind that, the girl does not by any means have any interesting traits to her, nor does she know what the definition of focusing and studying means. What was she even doing here? To bore her mind off and dozing out to sleep? That could be the potential reason for that. She took a deep breath before looking straight towards the girl's eyes. Truly, it was amazing how much of a disturbance this girl was. Making Selene regret thinking that she could be interesting at all in the first pace, looks are deceiving. They are very deceiving indeed.

"You might as well just leave. You're being both a distraction and a disturbance to many others with that annoying voice of yours." She said in a menacing tone, was it a warning? Was it a threat? Both.It doesn't mean Selene doesn't like the girl no, she just regretted thinking the girl was interesting in the first place. Selene rolled her eyes before standing up quietly, she was going to search for another book to read and for her mind maps.

Janet looked coolly at the girl and raised her eyebrows. What was it to her if she had made a little noise on the way in? She could relax now! Janet's bright blue eyes took in the slytherin sitting before her and evaluated her. She seemed to be a bookish type, as she had been enjoying the books she was reading before Janet had come in. She also came off as the type of person that wanted to be alone most of the time? Janet could be wrong but (in her experience anyway) most people like her didn't enjoy rowdy company as much as people like Janet did, well to be truthful not many could enjoy noise, but you had to learn to feel at peace with the racket in Janet's household (she had grown up with five older brothers and many cousins who practically lived with them) and since she had gotten used to the constant uproar she now felt weird in quiet places such as the study room. She had learnt to tune out the chatter and could therefore study in almost every environment (such as the common room) and this was perhaps why she wasn't being so sympathetic to people just because she made a little hubbub, could it even be called a hubbub? Janet wouldn't go so far as that.

"My voice? Last I checked I haven't actually said anything yet." She said rather coldly, "And I have as much right to study here as anyone else."

Immediately there were a couple of hisses coming from other students who were studying, of course, obviously, it wasn't just because of her but the both of them, Her giving up to the bait only made Selene chuckle, well slightly. Even tho the girl herself was useless, mayhaps it wouldn't hurt to have a little distraction right? Of course, it wouldn't! Selene tried her best not to slip out a smile from her lips, well, even tho it's against her signature to do so, the things you do for entertainment! Nevertheless, Selene finally found the book she was looking for. It was a book about folklore and myths about many things. When she saw a glance at it, at first, she was at least a tad bit surprised about it, aren't books like this supposed to be in the library? Considering the fact that she already read half of the books from the library, she was amused to find a new one. A good way to use the time after doing homework. Well, aside from finding distraction over a useless and petty thing.

She slipped the book out of its rows and turned to look at the girl sideways. She didn't reply to her, the other student's reaction to both of them, it was enough right? To let her chew up her own question. She thought about it for a moment before turning around completely, walking towards the table. True-true, she had the rights to sit right where she is right now. But moreover, being a disturbance is not any of it. Selene was getting tired of this, she had more things planned in her mind. Alright, maybe a couple more minutes before she goes.

She looked at the girl, straight to her eyes. Both of them were almost the same, except for the hair and everything else they were basically the opposites. Selene let out a small smirk, but it quickly fades away not letting the girl have the chance to see it. She then tidied up her belongings. "Someone caught the bait." She stated, putting her belongings back to her bag. She could be faster if she wanted to, but well, she awaits her response.

As soon as she talked a few frustrated hisses were directed their way from innocent scholars only wanting to use their time wisely. Paying no attention to them Janet glared across at the girl and awaited her response, wasn't she going to say anything? She had started to tidy up her belongings rather slowly as if ideas to poke fun at Janet were running slowly through her mind. Judging by the small smirk playfully spreading across her face (quickly stifled as if she wanted to conceal it) she was the type that enjoyed this kind of petty drama. Well at least Janet herself didn't have to move from her spot and clear away her own books, she reveled with satisfaction.
"Someone caught the bait."
Something about the slow and deliberate tones with which she spoke, the knowledge that they were purposely said to irritate her, caused Janet's blood to boil. Unfortunately the gryffindor had a terrible temper and really it was a foolish idea for the slytherin to feed to glowing embers that was Janet's rage. She certainly wasn't pretty when she was angry. Not wanting this jerk to get the better of her she replied.
"Well it took you long enough to think of that reply didn't it." Janet snapped back quickly, "What an original response."
Her voice was dripping with sarcasm as she glowered back in her direction. It wasn't the most cutting reply but Janet wanted to get in a word before she had the chance to say anything else.
Ugh she hated pettiness.
If there was one thing that really stirred up her fiery personality, it was people who enjoyed spreading rumors, causing drama, starting arguments (that sort of thing) simply because they enjoyed it. Why did that satisfy some people? That was one mystery that Janet would never understand.

Selene could help but be slightly-wait no, more amused by the satisfied aura around the girl. Ah? So Selene manages to make her believe she was some sort of Disney villain. Pfft, amateurs, besides she already knew someone else that fits the requirements of being one. Nevertheless, how fun! Does the girl believe that she could read through Selene's basic behavior? It was both stupidity and idiotic to actually try to do so. What? Was she some sort of a people reader master? Or perhaps a profiling character? My! Doesn't she know? Deception comes in many forms! Selene couldn't help but snicker at her once more, oh come on! She just couldn't help it. I mean, the girl believes she could hit a nerve on Selene that easy? She's continuing to merely prove her points further! The best part is that the blonde-haired idiot doesn't realize it sooner? My-my does Selene need to explain it further? The girl really thinks she could prove a point towards moi. Selene is always unpredictable. You would never know what she'll do next to the point it could make you anxious.

Ack, so the girl was someone who misunderstands someone quickly from both bad-temper and thinking or justifying that she was right? Is it not? And then presume to create misunderstanding of other characters unless they do something that'll trigger the girl. If Selene was foolish, then the blonde-haired girl was a useless idiot. Selene always hated those types of people, why? In this cruel on world, they were the ones who'll join in on the fun and wouldn't want to admit what they did was wrong. Always wanting everybody on their side. at least, those were the kind Selene experienced, of course. But it was merely a guess on the person's full-on encyclopedia. maybe Selene was being a hypocrite, sure, call her that or whatever you want, but hey, short-tempered people are like that because their anger or their emotions are just too big for their small bodies, dwarves. She heard a couple of students hissing at them both but some just can't seem to take their eyes off the show. Selene laughed, the girl was just that stupid not to actually realize the real intentions of Selene for doing this, well halfway correct that she enjoys causing misfits every now and then but hey! Was it not better than having to re-read the same sentences?

Did the girl not realize that Selene actually had more things in mind than just trying to make the girl dislike her, or pushing her buttons every now and then to try to get her fired up, letting her chew up the own trouble she made? It was stupid for the girl to have replied to Selene in the first place, she could have just ignored it. But oh well, everything seemed to go according to plan. See? Selene was both trying to prove her point by how much voices the girl could make, disrupting the other students inside the study room..well as explained earlier it could have been avoided if the girl just remained silent, but at the same time, Selene wouldn't have the reaction she wanted oh well. Not just that but it's a win-win for both, isn't it? She could have a break from all those reading while Selene had what she wanted, proving herself superior to the situation and finding a new book to read, one that's not so boring bonus!

"But isn't it what you wanted? A break from reading the same sentences over and over again?" Selene asked, well, it was more of a rhetorical question like any other questions. The tone of it was neutral. Selene crossed her arms, with her thumbs displaying, indicating her superiority behind this as well pointing one foot towards the door. She has more important things to deal with after all, but of course, it wouldn't hurt to hear the girl's response once more.

"You're only proving more of my point..but turns-out you're more foolish than I thought you were." Selene didn't care if the girl gets what Selene was talking about or not, or if the girl could realize that even before this whole conversation started, the blonde-haired girl already lost in the first place. She caught the bait of replying and snorting back at Selene, making more of a fool of herself by believing that she thought she scared Selene off. But it's just that, the girl no longer interested Selene after this, after all, she did all of her homework, while toying with the girl! Knocking two birds with one stone! Selene enjoys seeing the reactions that core out of people's faces..it was just satisfying how she could read them. Accuracy is her second-best stat after all. Selene smiled, one is never fully dressed without one! Somehow-someway, she sometimes doesn't even realize it herself that she would find a way to use a problem as a solution. Selene then took her belongings and walked to the door, pushing aside her hair behind her face. The other students were studying, but couldn't help but watch the whole performance. Before Selene opens the door of the study room, she glanced at the blonde-haired girl whose name she still does not know of. But who knows, this could be interesting. The world is a stage after all! And the stage is for our entertainment. She rolled her eyes. looking at the girl sideways. "Here's a short explanation, you already lost when you caught the bait. Wipe that satisfied smirk off your face will you?" Meaning, by replying to Selene, she manages to humiliate herself by showing her aggressive side to the students watching.

"Smile! You're never fully dressed without one~!" She said in a humming tune, she couldn't resist the way her smug seems curved on her lips! Well, she just proved her superiority in the current situation and the feeling is well...so, lovely.

"But isn't it what you wanted? A break from reading the same sentences over and over again?"
She hated to admit it to herself, but that was, in fact, what she had been doing. The Gryffindor girl just wasn't used to sitting still, she did enjoy reading but if the book didn't catch her attention even slightly there really was no hope for it. But Janet was a bright and clever girl, so luckily she could survive school doing the minimum of studying.
She rolled here eyes and scoffed, "Sorry if I'm not used to sitting alone reading, most of my time is spent with my friends, but I'm guessing you can't relate, lovely personality like yours."
As the words escaped her lips Janet couldn't help but feel an ounce of guilt. It wasn't like her to make fun of people's actual personality's and she really didn't want to make herself the bully. But really she had been asking for it by taunting her like that. Maybe Janet had gone too far but in her temper she often said things she didn't mean. Janet raised her book above her cheeks and glared across at her. The slytherin began to scoop up her belongings and started to walk to the door.
"Here's a short explanation, you already lost when you caught the bait. Wipe that satisfied smirk off your face will you?"
"Caught the bait? What did you want? for me to ignore you? Not say anything? Ha, well sorry if you can't handle my responses, but I would just advise you to shut your mouth if everything that comes out of it is designed to irritate people," Janet only just refrained from adding "It's probably all your good at anyhow" she wasn't going to go and make herself completely in the wrong.

Selene couldn't help but roll her eyes once more. Apart from her really wanted to stay a bit longer, besides, she wouldn't want to leave the girl hanging. Although she really needed to go to the toilet as of the moment, so let's make this quick. She lowered her eyelids, looking around the room and looking at the girl's overall body language and attire. Selene does not condone that all houses fir their own stereotypes, that's just on a whole so wrong to do so. The Sorting Hat will always know where our heart lay depths. Slytherins aren't all so bad, as many people think-just a lot of misunderstanding, don't we all? although the seemingly Gryffindor did annoy Selene more and more as the minutes pass. Of course, Selene was patient, she's always patient even if a boy was about to pour water at her she'll try to remain calm before slamming that bastard to the floor.

"Caught the bait? What did you want? for me to ignore you? Not say anything? Ha, well sorry if you can't handle my responses, but I would just advise you to shut your mouth if everything that comes out of it is designed to irritate people," did she just realize that everything that comes out of Selene's mouth was supposed to annoy her? really? Selene thought she was an idiot but really now, she was more than that. as the young girl rummaged her hands through her pockets, "You are not strong." Selene then took a piece of gum to her mouth, a rather fun fact is that bubblegum is actually a wizarding world item that's distributed all around the muggle world without the muggles knows about it. Meaning it's proof of the wizarding world's influence throughout the muggle world. "You only have strength," Selene muttered as she slings her bag on top of her shoulder. "Took you time to realize, princess~" Selene taunted the girl before leaving, letting the girl think whatever she wanted of Selene. @Janet Jackson
