That Hurt. That Really, REALLY Hurt.
PRIVATE THREAD WITH @Dan Palmer. Backdated to the day of the Slytherin VS Gryffindor quidditch match.
Lamik's eyes fluttered open, a small breath escaping from his lips. He was on his back on what he could only assume was a bed, looking up at the ceiling of what he could only assume was the Hospital wing. It took him a few moments to remember why he was there, and when he did, the boy let out a groan. He failed his team. Again. With his luck, losing him might have cost Gryffindor the game, and it wasn't like this was the first time it would have happened.
It quickly dawned upon Lamik that he wouldn't be able to get up. How did he come to that conclusion, I hear you, fair reader, asking? Well, im not sure, but it might have had to do with the intense pain that shot through his chest when he tried. Yes, it seemed that he had broken some ribs. And tore a muscle. There was also the possibility that he was exaggerating, of course, but whatever the case was the staff hadn't managed to heal him completely yet. Lamik silently cursed at (using spicy words such as "Stupid") the bludger that hit him. before remembering that what knocked him to the ground was, in fact, NOT a bludger, but a person. Dan. Dan, for some insane reason, had decided to blatch him.

That Hurt. That Really, REALLY Hurt.
Dan peeked into the hospital wing doorway, to make sure Lamik wasn't throwing a fit. He didn't know why he was doing that, if Lamik wasnt throwing a fit now, he was about to be. Dan was aware of what he did, and what a dick move it was, but it was the strategic thing to do. And to be honest, he wasn't really that sorry about it. Huff n Puff's enormous lead made things desperate for his team. And desperate times called for desperate measures. Normally, Dan would not have blatched anyone, let alone a boy he found kind of cute. He even had a little 'not really' date with him at the insistence of that bat shite crazy flying professor who, praise be to the Holy Potato, had left.
He stepped inside, trying to be as quiet and discreet as possible. Being barefooted, as always, made that quite easy. Not only was sneaking almost natural for him, but his lack of noisy footwear silenced his movements even further.
He quietly approached Lamik, who did not seem to notice he was there, to no surprise. He was a master ninja boy, of course Lamik wouldn't notice him.
"Ehhh.... hi. I'm uh... sorry about what happened on teh pitch."

That Hurt. That Really, REALLY Hurt.
Lamik heard the footsteps approaching and turned his head to face whoever it was that decided to check up on him. Assuming it was the nurse, the young Gryffindor spoke up: "My chest hurts..." He said quietly before realizing who it was that he was talking to. Lamik eyes lost their softness as he listened to Dan speak, briefly wondering if the apology was genuine or if the Slytherin was about to mock him relentlessly. If it was the first, Lamik would scold him. If it was the second, Lamik would shut his mouth and never speak to the boy again.
"You're... sorry?" Lamik started. "Youre sorry. Right." A small scoff escaped the boys lips as he took a short moment to decide exactly what to say. It was ridiculous that he even had to say anything. It was ridiculous that he even was in the situation that he was in. As the anger bubbled in lamiks chest he did everything he could not to tell. "I could have literally died. Sure, the chance was low because... Well... Magic.. But it could have happened. What kind of captain cheats? What kind of example are you setting for your team? And why the hell would you think that coming here with nothing more then a half hearted apology could make everything better?!" Lamik took a deep breath and looked away, his eyes watery. Maybe he was being too harsh. He did curse, after all- and for the first time. No. He thought. No, Dan should feel bad.

That Hurt. That Really, REALLY Hurt.
Dan was mildly confused, and amused at Lamik's outburst.
"First of all, weren't no damn way ye were gettin' out with more'n some broken bones. And seeing how fast they can heal here, and how ye were out like a light the whole time, yer bellyachin' is proper unwarranted. Second, it was the most strategic choice to make. Unlike ye, Slytherin had a shot at the cup. Best way to get it was teh make sure yer team didnt grab the flittin' gold thing."
He paused, as minor annoyance started to set in.
"And as far as me half-arsed apology, I didnt have teh come here at'all. I came here because I felt like we connected back at that bat-shite crazy flying professor's backwards-arse tea party. I came cuz I felt bad about the play. I'd do it again, if it meant we got the Cup. But I wouldn't like it, ner feel good about it. But if ye would rather I didn't come to apologize, jest say so, an' I'll not do it again. I come to apologize, an' ye wanna bite me shaggin' head off about it. What'r ye so upset about anyway, ye knew ye were gonna be injured when ye signed up fer Quidditch. It was in bright red letters, fer Christ's sake."

That Hurt. That Really, REALLY Hurt.
Lamiks jaw hung slightly open as he listened to what Dan had to say. It was ridiculous, really, that the Slytherins stood by his actions even after the game had ended. "So- If we were in a quidditch game... and I took out my wand and cast the Fire-Making spell on one of your teammates mid-flight... you would be ok with that?" The question started of in what was almost a whisper but gradually increased in volume until he was speaking clearly. "And if I then landed, took out a knife, and stabbed all of your second strings in the leg, would that be ok? Those would be the most strategic choices, really. And besides- magic could heal all of those injuries in an instant!"
"You're right about quidditch being a dangerous sport, and it's exactly because of that that cheating is so wrong." Lamik said after a short pause. "Clearly, you aren't a bad person. You wouldn't be here if you were, and I do appreciate the apology despite the impression that I may have just given. You were still in the wrong though, and you can't expect me to be somehow instantly ok with your putting me in a hospital bed just because you visited and apologized."
