Great Hall Location
What a day, what a day! The four tables in the Great Hall no longer belonged to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. No, today every color was mixed together to create only the finest of rainbows and numerous other palettes, and it was time to decorate the Great Hall, along with the rest of the castle.
After Cy had darted through the castle with groups of students, unlocking doors with the keys she’d swiped (she’d give them back later, she promised, and OOC she also promises to beg the other professors for a thread of her doing that later but no guarantees) and helping the unbelievably creative prefects set up their own locations, she’d come back here, to the Great Hall, where countless students were waiting - whether to carry off some supplies to go elsewhere or to stay and help decorate right here.
Funny enough, she couldn’t see the beauty of all these colors around her, couldn’t appreciate the decorations as much as everyone else who walked through these halls and stared up at the students’ creations. But that was okay. She could feel it all anyway, hearing the chatter of kids putting their creativity and crafting skills to use. The enthusiasm alone was enough to put a grin on her face that wouldn’t fade until the entire ordeal was over.
The First Table
The first table was meant to be a welcome of sorts. This intent could be gleaned from the fact that the letters WELCOME! were emblazoned across the table in rainbow paint. Here, multitudes of piles of pins, arranged neatly - which guaranteed that Cy herself had no hand in making the actual piles - littered the surface, pins that represented every sexuality, romanticality, preferred pronouns, and gender identity that anyone could think of, depicted in shapes anywhere from hearts to ghosts to rubix cubes.
Nobody was required to use any, of course - a person’s time to come out or share their identity with anyone was theirs and theirs alone - but they were there and free for the taking.
The Second Table
The second table was something quite peculiar. Half of the table was taken up by a pile of very large magical ladders. They weren’t heavy, light enough to be moved by a child with a little effort or two children with very little force, but they also boasted the utilitarian feature of sticking fast to the walls they were leaned against, so that falling over was not an option. “You might want to spot each other anyway, though,” Cy warned them, “You neve know when something could malfunction, even if it’s not supposed to.”
But the real purpose of the ladders were the gigantic blank flags lining the walls of the Great Hall, right along where the walls met the ceiling. They were only white for now, just pieces of thick cloth fluttering from where they hung, but the fabric paint and bountiful brushes scattered over the free half of the table left no question to what they were supposed to do. A handbook on the flag colors of various identities was tossed somewhere among the paint jars - hopefully it wouldn’t get lost. If not, asking Cy would do in a pinch.
Rolls of painter’s tape were also stacked on parts of the bench, used to hold the corners of the flag taut while painting, or to mask parts of the flag for smooth lines - the plentiful table space made sure that nobody would be missing any surface area to lay out their flags on. Once the paint had dried, the students were welcome to climb back up the ladders and hang their flags, plus the colors of whatever they wanted to paint and maybe even a little artwork or lettering they could add in themselves, on the walls for all to admire. The Third Table
The third table was packed. Not that there wasn’t ample workspace, but some of the parts that had originally made up the first table had been moved to this table to make more surface area and fit everything. This was the general craft table, for making decorations other than just pins and flags. The things made here could be taken back as souvenirs, brought to other locations to spread the rainbow reign even further, or hung up here in the Great Hall.
But seriously, there were a lot of supplies. Strings of every color for friendship bracelets were wrapped in spools beside balls of yarn for anyone who wanted to crochet or knit. Colored paper, from tissue paper to construction paper and cardstock, were laid out in stacks, plus markers and pencils and crayons. Paint and brushes didn’t fit on the table, but students were free to take them from the second table. Prepared garlands, streamers, and tassels lay draped over the end of the table for anyone who wanted to either put them up as they were or use them in other projects, and beads, ribbons, and wires of every shape, color, and size were organized in tool caddies along with small pliers, scissors, and glue.
Wanted to paint? Sure, there were mini canvases all over the place, and if they were all taken, take to the walls, floor, and tables. Everything was free real estate. Wanted to sew? Thread kits and fabric scraps were everywhere. Wanted to make a garland? There were dried flowers in a tub if you wanted to use those, but paper and fabric worked pretty well for those too. Wanted to make candles? No problem! Basins of hot, colored wax and cold water lined the wall behind the table, just take a string and have a go at it. Set them along the wall, behind the wax and water, and maybe they’d even be floated up alongside the usual lighting at mealtime.
There was also the glitter, of course. Jars of it, with lids like salt and pepper shakers’, from confetti-style chunks to fine silt. For now they were contained, but they were going to be everywhere by the time this was done with. Couldn’t figure out what to make or how to make it? Ask Cy! She was there to help, after all, and while she probably couldn’t tell if your project looks good, she was certainly willing to suggest things you might want to make.
The Fourth Table
The fourth table had nothing to do with decorations. This was the snack table. Stacked high with multicolored refreshments of every kind, the centerpiece of the long table was a seven-layer rainbow cake, courteously baked by the Slytherin Head of House, which Cy repaid by unlocking her office door and letting kids violate its privacy. An array of goblets filled with what looked suspiciously like fancy cocktails but was actually refreshing rainbow lemonade stood on each side of the fancy cake, plates and silverware stacked on the benches should anyone need them. Not far from those were platters of rainbow chocolate-dipped strawberries, rainbow cupcakes, cheesecake bites, mousse, skittles, and way too many other sweet things.
For the less, er, blatantly unhealthy, a pile of fruit kebabs each with pieces of chopped fruit ordered neatly in a pattern of a (you guessed it) rainbow were stacked near the ends of the table, next to some fruit tarts and pitchers of water, if anyone needed a break from the sugar, which everyone would probably need sooner or later. These were all free for the taking, of course, and plates, napkins, silverware, and cups were all replaced periodically by magic when used up. Just try not to get too many crumbs on the decorations!
Cy’s open for interaction! Get as messy as you want. If there’s something you need like a craft material that’s not there, feel free to DM me on discord or owl me to ask if you can say it’s there - or just ask Cy IC, she’ll give you an answer. Need suggestions on a cool project? Feel free to ask! You can put your decor up yourself, keep it, bring it to another location thread in this errand, leave it for someone else to put up, or whatever you want. Have fun, and don’t forget to provide a TOTAL WORD COUNT SO FAR at the bottom of each post. Here’s the link to the original errand post with all the rules and guidelines.

Mentioning @Crystal Jagger and @Artemis Vernatis
To whatever gods and goddesses and combusting planets were watching over them, thank you. Mars never skipped, but today was a different story. They'd awoken bright and early to the sun arching a rainbow over their curtains. It seemed even the weather was in the mood for a little pride.
The Castillions had never been big on pride month. To them, it was the breaking of tradition that had keep them living in comfort for their entire lives. They never did anything to celebrate it, let alone acknowledge it. But that just made it all the more fun to harass them with rainbow colors.
Some of Mars' fondest memories were of running around the manor with streamers flying out behind them, each of the T'ien boys' armed with globs of paint or buckets of glitter. Always with the permission of the maid—who was pretty queer herself—they'd deck the halls in everything that made them happy. An explosion of color and a fierce kind of love; over-powering any sense of darkness.
And it seemed Hogwarts was thinking along the same lines. The year had been wrought with pitfalls and killer insects, but all of it seemed to fade away in a flash of opalescent glitter. Today, this month, there was nothing to do but celebrate. And if they got detention in the process, well, at least they got to admire their handiwork for whatever duration they had to sit there.
Bouncing into the Great Hall, they stopped by the door. The majesty of it all called for a moment to take it in. The normal house tables were no longer separated by their respective colors. Instead, the whole room was awash in rainbows. The first table was littered with pins, every flag they'd ever seen before represented in the mess of it. The second was piled with—ladders? Oh! Those must be for hanging things, that made enough sense. Some blank white sheets were in the back, paint cans and brushes waiting to turn them into masterpieces. It was all gorgeous. But what really excited them was the third table. Glitter. Lots of it. God, this would be fun. Coupled with a couple of banners and confetti, the surface held everything they needed to wreak some real havoc.
Wandering over to it, they spied a string of triangular banners. They pulled it out of the stack, eyeing the design. Perfect. Scanning the rest of the table, they sighed a little. There was just—so much stuff. They couldn't possibly hold everything they wanted. Picking their way through it, they snagged a jar of glitter, a couple more banners, and posters, tucking them all under an arm. That would do for now. They were meeting Crystal anyway, as per her owl, and knowing her, the witch would have more than enough paint without them bringing it themselves.
They also stooped by the second table, rolling a few sheets of parchments up and tuck them under the other arm. They really should have brought a bag. Luckily, none of the pins require extra hands to hold. Scanning, they hoped their sexuality would be there. It was—complicated, at the very least, and they were young, so it was subject to change. Maybe staying general would be easier. They settled on a small rainbow flag instead. They were about to turn away when a flash caught their eye. A simple silver heart, slightly messy handwriting spelling out they/them on the flat surface. Mars stared at it for a moment, then plucked it up and pinned it to their lapel with soft hands. The silver suited their blue robes. Something in their chest swelled a little at the sight of it.
Finally, with their cacophony of rainbow paraphernalia in their arms, they scooted over to the fourth table. Food. Sugar and snacks, all arranged and colored, dyed—you know the drill—rainbow. Mars popped a grape into their mouth, looking over the spread. Hmm. Maybe Crystal would like a piece of that massive cake. For that matter, maybe cake would soften the blow of the rainbow explosion that was about to happen in the Charms classroom. Bribery always worked, right? And it seemed that Professor Vernatis would never say no to sweets.
But, there was a problem. They weren't an octopus. They'd already run out of hands with everything they'd grabbed. But it would be a shame to not come with snacks. They hummed, trying to find a work-around. Well, this was a wizarding school. Common problems required magical solutions. A light-bulb going off in their head, Mars searched the table for a tray of some sort. They frowned, not finding one. Glancing up, they noticed a witch. Professor Lian. Ah, of course she had been the one to organize this.
Shifting their items, they made their way over to her.
"Hi, Professor!" they greeted, catching a poster than threatened to tumble to the floor, "Thanks for setting this up. I can't wait to glitter bomb the Charms classroom." Letting out a grin, they hoped the woman would be able to sense it in their tone. Mars glanced back at the snack table and then turned to her once more.
"You, uh, wouldn't happen to have a platter lying around somewhere though? I might try to bribe my way out of detention."

May makes her way to the Great Hall from the corridors, now full of glitter and paint because of the paint war she had with Annie Morgan, but she just hoped that she would encounter someone that knew the cleaning Charm. May herself, being a Charms Prodigal didn't know anything of the cleaning Charm, yet, she was about to learn it. Soon.
She entered the Great Hall, and absolutely did not want to ruin anything with the paint she had in her hands. She was marveled with the cake and flowers and the heart LGTBQ+ pins, and the snaks...she just wanted to go and eat those delicious snacks.
She looked at the Transfiguration Professor, and said, "Hello Professor Cy. It's twenty."
Really, was May so dumb? She had always said the number twenty in class when the professor asked questions, yet, she knew other students would say the same things. Actually, she wasn't very good at Transfiguration itself, but was trying better, since she enjoyed the professor's good nature and, yes, she felt pity for her because she was blind. But at least, she was one of her favorite professors.
After thinking all of this, she looked at her Aquintance, Mars T'ien. She smiled at her, and winked slightly. She wanted to correct herself, to the Transfiguration professor, but felt exceedingly embarrassed to talk to her.
"Umm, can I take this colored paper professor Cy? It's to decorate the Defense classroom."

Of course, it came as no surprise to her that the queen of all things ridiculous, Cypresse Lian, had been the one to organize this whole shebang. Ami’s mountain of respect grew even higher for the Transfiguration professor as she got ready for the day, sitting in front of the vanity in her dorm room. With a few more touches to her makeup, she’d be ready to greet an old friend of hers- someone who had been hiding inside her all along, but someone that she’d only unlocked this year, like a skill in a video game. She could’ve used Transfiguration to help speed the process along, of course, but there was something satisfying about doing drag makeup the traditional way, the No-Maj way. And besides, she had already transfigured some of her clothing to be more appropriate for the weather, so she figured utilizing magic for her makeup would’ve been borderline cheating. Grabbing an angled brush, Ami applied the final touches to her pencil mustache, before reaching for a tin of bobby pins to start on her hair.
Growing up with Abella Marie Procoppio as her mother meant that Ami definitely knew how to do all of this, even if she had never had much of an excuse to know how to do her makeup or braid her hair. But as her fingers wove through her fiery locks, interlacing them together, her thoughts went to her grandparents, not her mom. She’d talked to her maternal grandparents a grand total of seven times, although that was seven times more than she’d talked to her other set of grandparents. And when Mr. and Mrs. Marie had heard from their daughter that their only granddaughter was running around trying to smooch girls and dressing up as a man, they had become upset, even borderline enraged. Traditional and extremely conservative, they had already hated the idea of their only daughter marrying a lowly No-Maj. Having their granddaughter be… homosexual seemed to be too much for them to bear. But, like with most things, Ami didn’t give a flying frick-frack what they thought. She felt guilty about it, knowing that there were many out there who were far less fortunate than she, knowing that there were kids who were kicked out of their homes because of who they loved. She was one of the lucky ones, where her parents were accepting and probably borderline relieved. After all, her father no longer had to chase off any unsuitable boys with his scary military glares and barking.
Pinning her pigtailed braids to her head, Ami gently placed her fedora atop her locks, effectively hiding her longer locks from sight. Buttoning up the rest of her shirt, tightening the belt around her waist, and shoving her feet into those glorious golden boots, Ami turned to look at her reflection in the mirror one last time before she headed out to the Great Hall. A classic straw fedora with a rainbow ribbon perched jauntily on her head, and a black-and-gold patterned short sleeve shirt was tucked into some purple pants, held in place by a simple black belt. Her wand was safely secured in an armband around her left forearm, ready to be drawn by her right hand to create rainbow chaos through the castle. Her thick brows, chiseled facial structure, and thin mustache all seemed both foreign and familiar to her, like a long lost friend you haven’t seen since childhood.
“My name is Chad,” he tried out, feeling his chest swell as he attempted a marginally lower voice. He couldn’t possibly go that low, though, without straining his voice and cracking it, so he’d just have to be a very high-pitched man-child today. “My name is Chad Preoccupied. You killed my father. Prepare to die!” No, that was a little too… bridal for his taste. “My name is Preoccupied… Chad Preoccupied.” He could get behind being a hot British spy! With a wide grin, he nodded curtly at himself in the mirror, before turning on his heel to start his walk towards the Great Hall. Obviously, he expected for there to be stares- after all, he looked hot, and he knew it. In fact, he didn’t so much as he swaggered through the corridors, winking at several confused girls and shooting some finger guns at some boys he hardly knew.
It was Pride Month, and Chad was proud of who he was.
Entering the Great Hall with a great flourish, Chad expected everyone to stop and stare, and to maybe even bow at his mere presence. However, very few people even stopped to look, and he would have to content himself with a few confused glances in his general direction. He carefully made his way over to the first table, grinning at the array of pins for him to choose from. Oh, how tempting it was to sweep the fedora off his head and grab all the rainbow ones as Ami… but he had made a promise, and even if that promise was only to himself, he still intended to honor it. He grabbed a he/him/his pin, pinning it carefully to the very front of his shirt. A black pin with a simple golden crown grabbed his attention, though, and he pinned that one right alongside his pronouns pin. Perfect. Simple but stylish. He didn’t dare reach for anything else, as he was, quite frankly, unsure of what else he would grab.
The second table was far more interesting, of course. There were ladders, and for a man as manly as Chad, the image of standing atop a ladder while wreaking havoc was very appealing, indeed. Glancing around, Chad picked out the woman of the hour, one @Cypresse Lian, and called out to her, “Cy, you genius British bastard! I’m taking some of these flags with me to different locations, so if you say no… well, too bad. I’ve got chaos to cause, my love! Mwah, mwah, mwah… happy Pride Month, mi amor. You look muy bonita, señorita, as per usual.”
As tempted as he was to stuff his face, Chad opted to ignore the fourth table laden with food in favor of the third table filled with craft supplies. He feared that he would get sidetracked with all of the delicious options available to him, and there was no room for distraction in his master plan of spreading Queer Pride.
Grabbing a large basket from the third table, Chad loaded it up with as many art supplies as he could fit in there, before hauling one of the ladders over to the wall. Retrieving ten of the blank canvases from the walls, he quickly went to work, painting and glittering the flags so he’d be able to hang them up at all the different locations he planned to go to throughout the day. Each and every one of them looked roughly the same, although there was, of course, some human error. In the center of the plain black flag was a golden crown and a lipstick stain, side by side. On top and beneath the drawings were the words “Queers! Better blatant than latent!” in rainbow glitter, which of course, came from the iconic movie Pride (thanks Scott). The whole affair took Chad less than 20 minutes with the aid of some simple Color-Changing charms to speed the process along, and in no time at all, he had ten beautiful flags to hang up around the school.
Gently folding them individually with care, he placed them into his Basket of Awesomeness, before setting out to go hang his artwork. He was a man on a mission, and there was nothing that would stop him from spreading his message. It was Pride Month, and he would make damn well sure that he lived up to the legacy that those who had come before him had left.

Today was a good day! Usually, Carolyn would be hiding somewhere reading a book, doing her homework or perhaps drawing in her sketchbook. Today however, she would actually join other students as they celebrated the glorious Pride month. She didn’t expect to encounter such event here but she was pleasantly surprised to see all the posters advertising the occasion. Carolyn has attended Pride parade in London last year but that was the only experience she had so far. Her parents were usually too busy to drive there just for one day and they didn’t feel the need to either. That year though, their daughter figured out she might be different from other kids at school and begged them to take her. It wasn’t easy for her. Most people just assumed she was too young to make such decision as if it was her decision in any way. It was not, she simply KNEW. Surprisingly it was her father, raised by very traditional Korean parents, who relented first. Carolyn’s mother was kind and all around lovely but her family was more than strict and more than traditional. According to her stories, their ways were almost twisted at times and while she managed to escape that life, it did leave hidden scars and sneaky influences that sometime lingered and affected her thoughts. Thankfully, she would always overcome those stumbles and this time was no exception. Carolyn's father might have been lucky to be a muggle doctor in this regard. He had met many people that way and learned how different they were. Their sexuality was never something he had to prescribe medication for despite some parents thinking otherwise. He was also the one to buy her lucky sneakers decorated with her colors. “Wear them with pride,” he said encouragingly. And so Carolyn did. She did not wear them often but when she did, she felt proud.@Cypresse Lian , @May Moonstar and @Mars T'ien
Carolyn’s feet stopped moving as the sneakers suddenly seized to be the best thing to look at. She finally reached the Great hall and it was a view beyond her expectations. “Wow,” she exclaimed happily. There was so much she could do here! No more house colours, everything was rainbow and any other color one could think of. It was simply amazing. Good thing I only brought my sketchbook, my bag will need to carry plenty today. Her eyes surveyed all the tables and they also lingered at the huge blank flags lining the walls. She was not confident with such big spaces however and also wanted to explore the castle. This would take too much time, she decided eventually.
“Hello, Professor," she finally greeted the woman responsible for this magnificent mess. “Thank you so much for doing this,” she added with a smile. Cypresse might have not been able to see her but she was sure her voice was cheery enough. There were probably many others that voiced their gratitude before her yet Carolyn couldn’t care less. This was definitely something to be grateful for. She then proceeded to skip towards the third table. This was going to be her station. First, the young Ravenclaw took some brushes and paints from the second table, waving at the two other students present. She recognised them as fellow first years but she never actually spoke with them and was too afraid to start now. Then she moved to occupy one of the canvases. She already knew what she wanted to paint, she made her sketches well in advance. Dragons…and oh so many of them. Carolyn made sure to try and represent as many people as she could and so she spent quite a while painting each one of them on paper. She wanted to take these and hang them on the walls…or anywhere really. After she was finally done with all of them, she left them to dry and returned to the crafting table. She wanted to create some paper decorations as well. Small pieces that could fit anywhere.
In the end, she decided to go for butterflies, remembering how fun it was creating them with her mother. She could pack couple of those and leave some here for the others to take. The paintings would fill her bag as it was and she still wanted to take some glitter for the road. There was no reason to take too many of these too. In a hindsight, I should have brought a suitcase…

Nick strode into the Great Hall with low expectations about the event. He knew that there would be rainbows and pride spirit, but he didn't expect so. much. It wasn't that he minded, he just wondered what went through the professor's heads when they decided to trust the students of this school with so much color and glitter when almost every single ball they throw ends up with punch being thrown everywhere or fires being started.
He was happy to help out and participate in the fun. Nick might've grown up in a heavily queerphobic town but after a year with little connection from the town and being surrounded by lovely members of the LGBTQ+ community he was a strong ally. Like screw his stupid neighborhood's religious beliefs, basic human rights are more important.
The first thing he spotted walking into the rainbow covered Great Hall was the giant rainbow tiered cake on the fourth table down. He had heard passing rumors of the cake made by the amazing Professor Jensen but this was better than he could've imagined. He quickly rushed over to the snack table, filling a paper plate with various sweets of all kinds.
Walking over to the third table, he sat down near the various colored papers and markers. He didn't quite know what he was going to do yet so he was going to sit here and enjoy his sweets while pondering what to do to help decorate the castle.
Looking around at the Great Hall, he saw all the great artwork the other students had already made. A lot of the canvases and flags were covered with pride flags of various kinds, from the classic flags themselves to mythical creatures colored to match the flags. It made him feel a bit self-conscious about what he would do, he was a writer, not an artist. Looking down at his paper plate with bits and pieces left of the cake and other various sweets an idea popped inside his head.
Nick started running around the Great Hall gathering supplies, first looking to the first table to jot down all the pride flag patterns because he honestly wasn't that informed on the subject. From there he grabbed rainbow tissue paper, scissors, tape, simple white construction paper, cardstock of various colors, and markers of almost every single color.
Starting with the tissue paper, he cut into long thick pieces of every single color of the rainbow multiple times over before gently rolling them up and placing it in the drawstring bag he had brought into the Great Hall in case he was going to be traveling anywhere.
Next, he cut the white construction paper into hearts of different sizes before coloring them in with different flags, trying his best to incorporate as many of them as possible. This probably took the most time out of all the little things he did because he made so many of them. After a while, he had a bunch of pride paper hearts that he poured into his drawstring bag.
Finally, he wrote a couple of notes on colored cardstock using different rainbow colors for each different character. Nick wrote like this He knew how much chaos would ensue on the teacher's classes and offices so he wanted to treat them to something.
He gently placed the cardstock in his bag, he had spent so much time on everything, he'd hate for it to get ruined. He grabbed some tape and scissors so he could put everything up in various classrooms before throwing the bag on his back. Before he left, he cut another slice of cake and put it on a paper plate. He would get more later, he didn't want to ruin the cake.

── ❋ ──𝓣his pride errand was spiking Amadea's mood; she didn't think she had been this happy in a long time. While the thought was slightly saddening, Amadea tried to look on the bright side: at least she was actually feeling happy. After meeting with Chad and Quinn in the Hufflepuff Common Room, Amadea's spirits were lifted even further as she went on to gather some supplies in the Great Hall. Pride Month was undoubtedly Amadea's favorite month, not only because it was filled with pride, but also because it was the beginning of summer and warmth. All of these things combined made Amadea quite happy about the prospect of Pride Month, even though she herself wasn't gay (or so she thought).
Amadea knew Pride wasn't just about the celebration; it was also in remembrance of all of the people who had been oppressed and discriminated against during the fight for equality of the lgbtqia+ community. It honored all of those brave people who had advocated for what was right and stood up for themselves; she knew that this aspect of Pride Month was just as important as the celebration of those in the lgbtqia+ community. With the thought in the back of her mind, she entered the Great Hall and looked around. It looked nothing like the Great Hall she was used to eating her meals in. She was immediately greeted by a bright WELCOME sign that was placed on the first table in all rainbow lettering. Her eyes moved toward the second table, where magical ladders were standing in order to...well Amadea wasn't exactly sure what they were supposed to be used for. After a quick look toward the walls, she figured it out. Giant flags hung from the walls, waiting to be decorated by students. She decided she would leave that up to the other students; since Amadea didn't consider herself part of the lgbtqia+ community (oh sweetie just you wait) she didn't feel like it was her place to decorate their flags with any of the colors depicting a certain sexuality.
The third and fourth tables were what really caught Amadea's eye. The third hosted all of the crafting items Amadea could ever need to make the most colorful pride decorations she could imagine. And the fourth table contained a myriad of food and drinks in every color there was, making Amadea's stomach rumble. Amadea noticed a few other people in the room including the Transfiguration professor who had organized the whole event, but no one that she recognized and she decided to stick to herself in order to make her decorations quickly and head on her way. It seemed like people had the Great Hall decorations under control, so she strolled over to the crafting table to begin her work. She already had a few ideas in mind when she arrived at the table; between these decorations she was about to make and the arsenal of color changing spells Amadea had under her belt, she felt confident that she would sufficiently be able to do her part in making Hogwarts as glittery and gay as possible.
Amadea got to work quickly, cutting and gluing things together until she was satisfied with her work. It helped that she had the giant rainbow cake staring at her as an incentive to finish her work more quickly. Letting her creative juices flow, Amadea taped some rainbow papers together to make some sort of rainbow ball looking thing that didn't look like a baby had made. Satisfied with her first decoration, she began cutting up some more paper and before she knew it she had made four of them. Next, Amadea moved on to make some garland decorations, cutting out hearts in the colors of the rainbow as she listed ROYGBIV to herself to ensure that she wasn't forgetting any of them. Once she had done so, she took a string and glued all of the papers onto it before cutting out a white cloud and placing it at the top of the string to make it look like it was raining rainbow hearts. Satisfied with her creations, Amadea sat back and looked at them. It seemed like there was something missing but she couldn't place her finger on what exactly it was. As she looked around at the crafting items in front of her, it struck her. Glitter! How could she forget one of the most pivotal materials? She grabbed a glitter jar and sprinkled some on top of all of the decorations she had made, adding an extra shine that wasn't there before. Now they were perfect. Amadea couldn't wait to bring them around to the next places she was headed and decorate the castle with them.
But first, she wanted to try some food. She had worked hard on making the decorations and she deserved to reward herself with a little treat. She walked over the table, surveying what the available options were. Amadea poured herself a small glass of rainbow lemonade and grabbed two rainbow dipped chocolate strawberries. As she took the first bite, she sighed. It was absolutely delicious. The rainbow lemonade tasted just as good. Amadea wished that her sister could be here to see all of the festivities that were going on; after all, Kat was the gay one in the family so she would appreciate it and probably enjoy it more than Amadea. She wished that she could take a picture or something, but with no electronics and no camera, Amadea had nothing. Instead, she slowly sipped her lemonade and finished her last strawberry as she turned in a circle, trying to take in every detail that was going on in the Great Hall. She would make sure to remember it all so she could describe it in a detailed letter she would write to her sister later in the day; if anything weighed on Amadea's heart during this errand it was the fact that Kat couldn't be here to celebrate with her and that Kat couldn't be here all of the time. Being a witch was the biggest shock of Amadea's entire life but it was also the most rewarding experience she had ever had and she only wished that Kat could be here with her; it wasn't the same explaining it to her as it would be to experience it.
Pushing her sadnesss away, Amadea disposed of her remnants and picked up her decorations. There was no time to be sad. There was too much decorating to do! With that, Amadea headed out of the Great Hall toward the Astronomy Tower.

Akina entered the Great Hall with a surprised look on her face. It was so regal and old fashion before, with the candles glowing on the house banners. The gold and dark wood bringing in that sense of tradition. But now? Oh god now.
Now it was an explosion of colour.
She wasn't sure if this was because of the fact that they was some sort of holiday she didn't know in the wizarding world or a celebration of some kind. Surely this wasn't like back home where people supported each other and showed that they cared for their neighbour, right? Akina had found it silly that they needed a month to celebrate that sort of thing when you had all year to show it.
The Hufflepuff did understand the sentiment though, that everyone around her matters and that this month just shows whose an ally or is apart of that community. Something to this day that she could not relate to. Relationships of those kind just weren't on her radar, Akina had to worry about if her family would have enough money to buy proper food and payments on the house. Her sexuality didn't really come up.
Maybe it was more that she never had the space to think about it. Find out what exactly she was attracted to in the grand scheme of things, if she was attracted to something at all. The whole idea was sparkling and new like Hogwarts itself was to her.
She wanted to show her support to her fellow students and teachers regardless. Akina had time here at Hogwarts to figure it out, but those around her might not get the same support as here in Hogwarts. At least that's what her mother had told her.
"Remember my little Saru-chan, we will love you regardless of who you are. You are our pride and joy, so just be yourself." Akin could hear in her mind from her mother before coming here. Something that sunk deep into her mind.
Walking to the third table the Hufflepuff looks to see what `they had to use to make something. Hopefully they would be able to make something for the classrooms to display and be really proud of, though her options were limited since she didn't know how to use many mediums. Seeing the string to make friendship bracelets made Akina think though. Did they have banners like the ones in the halls for each classroom? The girl didn't think it would be wise to spend hours upon hours knotting each stitch for huge banners, but they had magic.
Surely there was a spell to make things bigger. It would be odd if that wasn't the case, maybe the teacher at the front of the hall could tell her! Or teacher herself could do it, either worked in her book. Taking a few deep breathes, Akina grabbed her nerve and walked to Professor Cypresse Lian.
"Um, hello? Professor-" Her voice trails off, trying to remember her name from sorting. She doesn't think she's had this teacher before. "Professor, is there a spell that could enlargen things? I want to make a banner for all the flags but I'm not that good at drawing, just making string bracelets"

As Jo skipped into the great Hall, the glitter and paint on her face was only one of the telltale signs that she had come straight from decorating another room.
A quick scan of the table revealed much to be desired - Jo didn't know any of the students. With a quick frown, she dashed to the first table, only for that frown to widen. The table was covered in pins, some with gay flags and others with different flags, many of which she had never seen before. Still other pins had pronouns on them, or little pride slogans.
The time just wasn't right for Jo - there was so much she needed to learn. Maybe her feelings would change or float away with the wind as she got older, leaving behind the ever-elusive "normal". Maybe Lady Aithne would hate her. Maybe everyone would hate her if she really did like girls.
Jo rifled through the pins, a pit of dread in her stomach, until a pastel-colored one caught her eye.

"Love is love," it said. Just that. "Love is Love."
That was what Jo was searching for. A reminder that love was love, and just as a parent's love towards their child never changed, neither would her romantic feelings. Love was what it was - it refused to be restrained and cleanly grouped into categories. Hurting people for who they loved would only lead to pain because love was love, and there was not a single thing anybody could do about it, except love.
Jo tacked the pin onto her red sweater. After finding one more pin that she liked with a quote from Hamlet, Jo sat down at a table and, after an ill-advised attempt to get glitter off of her face by rubbing it with her sleeve (which only served to smear it around even more), she began to work on a suncatcher just like the one she had made in the Gryffindor common room.

Where was Cy during this mess? Can you guess? She was where anyone who'd just spent the last half hour running around a castle full of stairs and no elevators would be. She was at the fourth table, sitting on the tabletop - apparently benches were better used as footrests than seating - and munching contentedly on a vibrantly colorful cookie with a glass of lemonade in her other hand.
The first one to approach was @Mars T'ien, who stopped by the first table to peruse the assortment of pins before greeting her. Cy grinned, swallowing her last bite before speaking. "Not like I could leave June without some glitter," she snickered. "Vernatis is gonna be pissed, but while he doesn't know, go forth! Destroy his classroom!" She could almost feel the rictusempra that he was going to aim at her after this was over. Maybe she could get out of it by offering to help clean up... though she knew herself well enough to know that that probably wasn't going to happen.
"Somewhere on the other end of the table, I think," she waved at the stacks of silverware and ceramic on the benches. "I don't remember where I put the plates, but whatever you're bringing, there should be a plate big enough to carry an entire cake, so you should be set." Bribing teachers with sweets to get out of detention - well, she couldn't judge, though she was mostly certain that Vernatis would take the dessert and send them to clean in the Hospital Wing in the same sentence.
The next to speak was @May Moonstar, who introduced herself with a number instead of a name. "Hi, May," Cy grinned, taking another sip of her drink. "Yeah, go ahead. You can bring whatever to the classrooms from here, just no guarantees that you won't suffer the professors' wrath." She could do all she could to defend the students - after all, it was at her behest and keys that they were doing this in the first place - but some professors let out their anger in the form of detentions, and sometimes it was better to just stay out of the way.
A voice rang out as someone who she identified as @Ami Procoppio walked by - or... Chad? Not that Cy could tell. But she wasn't exactly surprised to see the rambunctious Hufflepuff here - in fact, she was almost surprised that she hadn't barreled into the Great Hall and knocked over all the glitter in excitement while Cy had still been setting up. "I'm not British, and you're the bastard," she yelled even as the sound grew further away. "But yeah, take the flags before everyone else does. I have a feeling you're not going to limit yourself to just here." As Chad's footsteps faded into the hall, she waved, barely stopping herself from throwing a bottle of glitter at the retreating figure.
Back to cookies it was, then. Between all the responses, she hadn't been able to finish her first cookie, let alone the other five that she was probably going to end up eating by the end of all of this. She was interrupted just before biting in by @Carolyn Hunt, but it was a welcome intrusion. "It's my pleasure," she mused breezily. "I've wanted to cover this castle in glitter and paint since I was in my second year."
That wasn't a lie, either. She'd somehow engineered some glitter paint bombs and covered the Courtyard in them back when she was still here - it didn't fall out of her clothes for weeks, according to her dormmates, and she and her accomplices been rewarded with several detentions cleaning every bit of their work off the walls. Not that she didn't expect it, but still. This place deserved to be fabulous. and by the end of the day, it would be.
The first to actually request something from her, though, was @Akina Kuroshima, after she'd finally eaten the last bit of her cookie. "Oh, I see where you're going, that's very creative," she said, then frowned and turned to the rest of the Great Hall. "Hey, quick PSA, stop calling me Professor, you people, I feel old! It's Cy, or Miss Cy if you really feel like it, or Ress, or Blind Chicken. I don't give a damn, you know that."
Turning back to the student, she grinned apologetically. "Sorry, just had to... establish that. But yeah! Come find me after you finish, I'll hit it with an Engorgement Charm and you should be all set. It'll turn out pretty thick, though, so it might be heavy. You might want to find somebody else to help you carry it if you want to hang it up."
She would recommend Ceta, but Ceta had toiled with the other house elves, who she had thanked profusely and continuously at the door of the Kitchens before Ceta slammed the door in her face because apparently she was being distracting. Anyway, Ceta deserved a break, so she sent her to go organize her scarves. That task that might have seemed like drudgery, but there was nothing Ceta loved more than running all the silken scarves through her hands, arranging them in whatever array she deemed thematically fitting for the day on the wall. Cy had been shooed out with the handle of her own broomstick. "It's supposed to be a surprise, young miss," Ceta chided, "you can't be in here for that, and you have classrooms to prepare."
"Okay, okay," she'd grumbled, but there was still a grin on her face. "I'll be back at the end of the day, hopefully you'll be done by then." And then she'd run out with carts upon carts of supplies in tow.The deadline is in five days, on June 30th, 2020, but feel free to keep RPing after that. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting for so long!
