Tallis didn't know what she was doing at the manicure and makeover stations that had been set-up. She had never had much interest in makeup or dressing up but for some odd reason she had been drawn to the colorful array of items and things lined up on the table. She sat down in front of one of the mirrors and looked at herself. Her pale skin almost glowed in the light, freckles covered her small face. She tucked her hair behind her ear to reveal her blind eye. She stared at herself in the mirror, she had always been self-conscious about her blind eye. When she was younger it had been the same bright-unnatural green as her other but as the years went by it turned a pale white. Her make-up loving father told her that if she wanted she could have color contacts to hide her eye but she had always been uncomfortable about the idea and she knew both of her fathers where as well.
She looked over the makeup items and saw color contacts, she decided that maybe she would just try them on to see how they looked. She carefully picked a pair of dull green contacts and carefully placed them in her eyes. She blinked a few times and slowly looked back up at her reflection. She cocked her head to the side, unsure of what to think of the new appearance. With these on maybe people wouldn't think of her as a freak or at least not quite as much, she could have a fresh start, a new look. The idea was appealing but she couldn't help but feel as though, as she looked at herself in the mirror, that this person wasn't her, this girl was a stranger and while her life was appealing it wasn't her.
She carefully took out the contacts and cleaned them, placing them back where they where. She covered her blind-eye back up with her hair and looked back at the mirror. Maybe she should wear some kind of makeup though, even just a slight makeover. She knew how to apply makeup and was good at it but really just never had cared to wear it. One of her dads worked part-time as a makeup artist and wore makeup occasionally. She remembered having found memories of her and her dad decorating her other father's face and then him being not thrilled but didn't have the heart to tell them he didn't want to have makeup on. She smiled slightly to herself as she remembered and decided that while she wouldn't put make-up on she would do her nails. She decided to do a very simple design, a black base with little white moons and stars on each nail. She carefully looked through the piles of nail polish, surprisingly having a hard time finding a single bottle of black nail polish.
Eventually, she found one and placed it near her work station. She carefully washed her nails and cut them, doing exactly what her dad had taught her. Once again another memory came up with her and her fathers doing each other's nails, one more excited than the other. She smiled to herself again as she got ready to paint her nails. She carefully opened the pitch black bottle of nail polish and carefully took out the brush carefully and slowly started to paint each of her nails. After some time passed she finished. Now all she had to do was wait for the base to dry and she could paint the rest. She put away the nail polish and looked for a bottle of white nail polish. She soon found it had placed it near her, still waiting for her nails to dry.
She leaned back in the chair she was sitting in and closed her eyes, she started thinking about when she was younger before she had learned about her magical abilities. Even before then she had been bullied due to her size and blind eye. She had always been on the smaller side and her blind eye was definitely not what most kids would call normal, she remembered that even the parents would talk about her how she was such an odd child, why would anyone adopt a freak. It hurt her but she knew her parents always had her back and would never let her down. She opened her eyes and got back to work on her nails. She opened the bottle of nail polish and carefully designed the moons and stars on each of her nails making sure to not mess up. She soon finished and carefully closed the bottle of pearl white polish placing it back where it was. She sat back and looked at her nails, she was happy at the result even if it had taken a while. She looked once again at her reflection in the mirror and thought, that maybe she could do with a bit of makeup. She looked at her lips and saw that they were cracked and dry, a little gloss would help with that. She looked through the makeup items trying to find a simple thing of gloss. After swimming through what seemed like an ocean of items she eventually found a thing of gloss. She carefully applied it to her lips making sure to stay on her lips and not mess up. She soon finished once again putting the makeup back. She sat back in the chair and looked at herself in the mirror and smiled slightly, her dad would be proud all of his teaching wasn't for nothing which of course she would never say to him but may have thought on occasion. She decided that she had, had enough of makeup and whatnot for the day and decided to head back to her dorm. She quickly cleaned up the area around her and picked her bags up, pushing the chair back into the table. She was happy with her nails and while the thought of wearing the colored contacts still lingered in her mind she walked away, ready for what the evening would bring.

It wasn't that he'd decided to actively partake in getting a makeover, so much as he'd been swept into it after his fascination with the transformation of his fellow students. A lot of them had chosen new nail polish, or gotten slight alterations to their appearance. Assuredly the Professors were doing this all in an effort to boost the confidence of the students, while providing some of them with a foundation of skills they'd be using their whole lives.

It wasn't the majority of students that caught Sylvain's inquisitive eye though. His curiosity peaked when a girl with bleached white hair and green eyes caught his attention. They seemed to be applying nail polish at first, but broke out a box of a lovely lilac purple hair dye. Much the same shade as the Scottish Thistle native to his home of Inverie.

Entranced by their bold appearance, he then admired their choice in fashion. They sort of dressed somewhere between preppy and punk, which was different from how Sylvain enjoyed dressing. He'd chosen a nice and simple button down shirt with khaki shorts. His brown buckled belt matched his loafers and his argyle socks brought it all together.

As he peeked at them from across the courtyard, he hid behind a pillar hoping not to catch too much attention. It was honest curiosity after all. He really wanted to see how the hair turned out, and to ask if they was happy with the results of their efforts. Sylvain knew that sometimes people needed change to feel better, and looks could be a very telling thing to change.

As they came back to their station, Sylvain slipped a little closer to better see them dying their hair. He'd never dyed his hair before, but he imagined it took a lot of courage to look at the leap of faith from confidence and decide to recreate oneself in a new image. That kind of trait would be interesting to him, and prove the sort of self-assured attitude he'd been looking for in friends all year. If they could make the leap then so could he.

He wasn't particularly skilled at self-care. He'd really only trimmed his nails and gotten a haircut when told to do so, and he rarely, if ever, washed his hands outside of meal time, or after using the restroom. All of these bad habits had piled up and gotten worse over his time at Hogwarts so he decided to casually procure manicure instructions from one of the professors.

"H-hello, Professors." Sylvain said sheepishly, hoping they would seat him next to Cassandra. "Where, uh, should I sit down for a manicure?"

He cautiously returned his gaze to the person who'd captured his interest in the event to begin with, and had to nervously avoid making eye contact as he did so. Worried that Theyd find him unsettling or unnerving for gawking at them, he idly waved with a small brisk gesture of greetings. His elbow at his waist and his hand extended to signal he'd seen them. The only question he had, was whether or not they noticed him and could wave back with their hands so busy.

Cassie pulled aside their hair onto their shoulder, although for the back part of their hair a bit tricky to be colored, Cassie found a way so all their hair colored equally. Their hand ache and when Cassie push the now wet purple hair back, they forgot that they wearing white shirt. Cassie cursed under their breath when the purple color start to seeped and stain their favorite shirt.

While waiting for the coloring to start seeped through their hair and root, Cassie looked at the abandon nail polish and all the essentials they need to start doing their nails. Cassie shake the clear liquid of the nail polish bottle and crack it open. The smell of the chemical from the nail polish hit their nose. Cassie then close the nail polish.

They start trimming their nails into neat shape like they intended to. When they done with all their fingers, Cassie open again the clear liquid of the nail polish. They applied it carefully on their left with their right hand. When the nail polish half dry, they do it the other way around. Using right hand for their left hand.

Thank Merlin I am ambidextrous, Cassie thought. When the base nail polish dry, it is time for the second step. They grab the beige nail polish and do the exactly same way like the first one. When they in the middle to make their nails look pretty, a familiar voice greet their ears. The sound of timid boy asking both of the professors where he can seat.

It seems the boy decide to approach the young Serpent. Cassie smirks for the boy bravery. Some people know that Cassie is not the type of person that easy to get along with or approachable and yet for some reason this boy approach them. Cassie had to applaud for the boy courage.

"You can seat beside me if you want"Cassie said with their head down while still doing their nails. Their husky voice rasped out. Before that Cassie sense that the boy is waving at them but since they busy with the task at hands, the only thing that they can muster to said is that. When all their nails had been colored, Cassie looked up at the boy.

Knitting their eyebrows together trying to put the name onto the face. "Correct me if I am wrong you are Sylvain, right?"Cassie inquires the boy. Cassie once or twice saw the boy passing by, either with his group of friends or just him alone. It is funny how big the school is. They already stayed at the school for one year and yet only a handful of people that they know.

It is either as their acquaintances or friends some also their enemy in the making. No wonder at the beginning of the school year they often got lost. Cassie look down on the boy nails and try very hard to control their facial expression not to grimace. "Uhh.. Do you need help with that?"Asked the green eyes girl, nodded with their chin and head towards the boy hands.

"I could help you with it after I done with my nails and washed out my hair"Cassie told the boy and throw halfway smile to the argyle and loafers clad boy.

Atlas was pulled from her inner thoughts as she heard Ethen's voice pick up again realizing that in his tone he had probably sensed her sadness. The two were practically inseparable so it made sense that he would if she was acting off. Keeping her focus on the mirror in front of her she listened to his words, her heart giving a small jump when she heard him call her pretty again.

It was just a little thing but in her young mind it was everything especially because this time he had said really pretty. Giving a soft half-smile to Ethen, Atlas heard her new acquaintance interject as she tried to motivate Atlas to not let the little things get to her.

Hearing the girl ask questions about her look, gave her some brainstorming power as she looked down at the pallette trying to bring to life a look in her head. "I uhh yeah I have a lot of ideas I've just never played around with makeup before. I usually am to busy getting dirty or scuffed up so looking uhh girly isn't really a skill of mine." Atlas confessed to the young girl as she noticed a red and a purple in her kit.

"Maybe like a sunset eye look if that's a thing. I have a lot of orange on one eye so it might help to balance it out with some more colors." She thought out loud. The young girl had offered to help but Atlas felt bad having her take time away from her own look. "Also I guess there's eyeliner which seems really spooky but also fun..." Atlas continued as she cocked her head at the eyeshadow colors trying to see how to go about her look.

"My mom wears makeup but I've never thought to ask her about it because I never really cared --Not, Not that I do now...I just uhh I figure why not." She played off trying to sound like today's endeavor meant nothing to her. "And I gotta keep up with this character." She joked nodding her head to Ethen as she watched his look get crazier by the moment.

"I'm not one to ask for help, like ever but uh if you have a second I guess it couldn't hurt." She replied to Alexis as she admired her unique look.

Opeila chuckled a little when Ileen told her that she always seemed to miss that there were Errands unless someone dragged her there. The twelve year old didn't miss the sideglance and gasped with theatralic indignance. "Drags you there? That is a little harsh, don't you think? It's not like I physically forced you to come, I invited you, Ileen." She shook her head, an amused smile on her face.

Hearing her Head of House's voice unsettled Opeila a little. After the recent events, she simply didn't want to talk to her. Opeila was a causer of trouble, that was undeniable, but she knew when the fun was over. And she knew exactly that she had crossed a line with that thoughtless party in the middle of the night. After all what the professors had done to try and keep them safe, she felt simply ashamed about it now.

She chuckled at her new friend's words about disfiguring her forever. "What sort of ideas do you have that could possibly end up disfiguring me permanently? Well, now I am worried."
The brunette reached up to the back of her head and took the hairband out that held the two strands of hair together she always tied back so they wouldn't get into her face. Having them open would be an unfamiliar picture. "Go ahead! I trust you." Opeila sat on on of the chairs.

Opeila had really not expected Ileen to ask questions about Lady Margary and it hit her unprepared. "Yes, she does indeed. Don't your grandparents?" She tried to move the topic onto Ileen's family. Opeila liked her housemate but honestly didn't trust her enough to tell her about her own messed up situation.

"I can do your nails if you want.", she offered.

Her eyes scanned the courtyard as she allowed the young hufflepuff to paint over her arm. Honestly, she had no idea why she had agreed to this. Her pristine appearance was being drawn on. Her appearance was becoming less pristine every single second but looking around, the students - for the most part - seemed to be enjoying themselves. That made it worth it, right?

Hjørdis blinked as @Crystal Jagger spoke. The child was thinking of @Caradoc Browne, who she called house dad and so... she accidentally called her house mum? She was confused, to say the least. Her blank expression did not say anything but she was certainly a little perplexed by the whole thing. Her mind wondered over the words. Caradoc was really like a dad to them. She saw the way he raged that night. The anger he felt. There was no hesitation in his actions. He was like a dad protecting his children. And they saw it too. They looked up to him in the same way. It was really rather sweet, to be honest. She saw it time and time again. Badgers dancing alongside him in the Great Hall, the way they spoke about him, they way they looked up to him. It was pretty adorable.

She glanced over to @Quinn Healy again, noticing the struggle he was experiencing. But she did not need to worry. The very same Head of House that Crystal had been thinking about walked passed them, catching her eye and made his way over to him. She could not help the small smile that appeared on her lips as she saw the company starting to surround Quinn. A small girl appeared too. He was not alone. That was the thing about Hogwarts. They did not realise it. No one was very truly alone. Even if you wanted to be, even if you did everything you could to push people away... There was something about this place that would never let you be alone. It was the magic and beauty of Hogwarts. You would always find someone, somewhere...

So she was very pleased to see @Breana Oliveire who was the small girl that appeared to save Quinn's day. The girl - with a frog on her head - had started playing with hair within moments, it seemed. Hjørdis could not help but smile a little at the sight. The young Ravenclaw looked so excited as she seemed start braiding the professor's hair.

Hjørdis could not help but wonder if @Ileen Knight believed her words or if she was just being polite. These students needed more self-confidence half the time. It was a shame but... perhaps, perhaps she could help. Somehow. There was a battle to fight in making someone confident but it was worth it.

@Crystal Jagger created a leaf design around her wrist before it moved into a snake design on her palm. It was pretty cute. She was obviously putting a lot of thought and care into it. The result showed that. "It's lovely," She acknowledged, as she lifted her hand once the girl was done and looked at it a bit closer. Careful to allow it time to dry, Hjørdis avoided moving it too much. Perhaps she should have said more, commended her efforts in a more enthusiastic way but... she was not that person. She was blunt, and concise. Her words might not have been overly embellished with details but they were true and honest. That should be enough, right? "Thank you, Miss... Jagger, right?" She asked wondering if that was actually correct. She was not one of hers, it was hard to keep track of everyone. But she was starting to know them a little bit more after the hufflepuff incident not too long ago.

A familiar boy called her name, @Percival Rainwood. She quirked an eyebrow. He wanted to do... what to her face?! Hjørdis had one student drawing on her arms and now another who wanted to draw on her face?! She blinked at him. Her gaze going from him to the tub of facemask and back to him. Of course not. Why would she ever agree to letting him paint her face with the facemask? That was a definite no. "Very well. Anti-stress? I think I need that," She replied - what was she even saying? Why was she agreeing to this? She was going to look absolutely ridiculous by the end of this...

But for some reason, she just could not bring herself to say no. She was very good at saying no. But... it seemed like that was all she had said these days. They needed to hear something different. They needed hope. And they needed her to not break that hope. Perhaps this was Percival's payback for hitting him with a scourgify not too many days ago... Whoops.

Hearing another voice, she glanced over to @Sylvain Indarys, who asked about manicures. The young Slytherin near him piped up to help. Perhaps @Cassandra Ironwoods could assist him whilst Percival apparently painted her face - why did she agree to this again?! If not, Hjørdis or maybe Alaric would help Sylvain out shortly after. "Do you know what you'd like done to them?" She asked him, wondering if he wanted a more nail treatment thing or wanted them painted or designed in a specific way.

Katrina sat quietly, the girl-- Elspeth-- silent as well. The second-year timidly painted her nails, lucky that her steady hands and the simplicity of the activity allowed the result to be pretty good. "I'm going to go get something from my room. I'll come back and be over to the tree over there," Katrina tossed her head in the direction of a short maple tree that she sat under for most of the errands.

She decided it was high time that she re-dyed the teal streak in her hair. It was starting to fade a bit, and now that it had become a part of who she was, she was going to do a longer lasting dye. Katrina raced up the stairs and shoved herself past the portrait. There were already a couple of other girls playing with dyes and it might be fun to help anyone else who wanted to play with their hair. At least it will help me make some friends. Katrina grabbed a little black box with several drawers, it was meant for makeup, but Katrina stored all of her hair dye stuff in it instead.

Soon enough, Katrina was sitting under the tree with a towel draped over her shoulders. With two fingers, she smeared Vaseline around her hairline around the existing chuck of dyed hair, to make sure the dye wouldn't stain her skin. Her routine was quick and efficient, she had dyed her and her friend's hair plenty of times. She took out a pair of gloves from one of the drawers in her caddy and slipped them on. Time to teal-ify her hair.

Katrina grabbed a bowl and measured out the correct proportions of the teal dye and developer, stirring them nonchalantly. The Gryffindor wrapped the chunk separate from the rest of her hair with a hair tie and got to work. She began running her teal gloved fingers through the hair, feeling the slime between her fingers. Now all she had to do was wait.

Katrina sat under the tree, silently hoping someone would ask her to do their hair, but she wouldn't be the first one to reach out.

Trying to steer clear of any further blunders with his friend or in front of their new acquaintance, Ethen focused his attention on the growing chaos of his face. He listened quietly to the two girls speaking and came to the conclusion that he had no real idea what any of the tools they mentioned were. Eyeshadow, eyeliner… Ethen tried to imagine what the difference would be only confusing himself more. Had he truly been trying to use the makeup for its purpose, he believed that he would be even more lost than Atlas seemed to be as she tried to decide on her look.

“I don’t think I’m much help… but if you need any of these, I’m keeping them,” Ethen chuckled as he held up a few small curved spongy items. He couldn’t imagine what they were for but they gave a good squish with the proper pressure. Chuckling to himself, Ethen began slipping the small sponges into his pockets for further use. Returning to the pile of lipsticks, Ethen began doodling up his arm making sure to at least keep his patterns intricate as he imagined that they were tattoos to himself.

“Me? I’m not a character!” Ethen grumbled as he turned to face the two girls. His face and both arms were covered to near entirety with an intricate pattern of shapes and lines vibrantly painted on his skin with the lipstick. “You are just jealous that I am a master with this stuff,” Ethen teased. But he knew by the look of it only Alexis actually knew what she was doing with any sense of intricacy.

When Alexis asked if they were planning to also do manicures, Ethen froze and squinted at the table in confusion. The gears of his mind churned desperately as he tried to figure out what the hell a manicure was. For a moment, he wondered if it was some kind of snack. If so, he couldn’t risk not enjoying this manicure. “I mean… the manicures, that is what I am here for. Right Atlas!” Ethen said elbowing the girl in his facade of confused confidence.

Serena had wandered down to the courtyard to soak up some of the sunshine. She had debated on bringing a book with her but ultimately decided that she just wanted to sit under a tree. And maybe she would shut her eyes and take a little nap. Ever since the fire in the Hufflepuff Common Room back in April, the first-year had had a difficult time sleeping. Her nights in the Badger Bungalow dorm were filled with tossing and turning and tightly squeezing Mr. Bun at the slightest sound of a disturbance. Needless to say that the lack of sleep was starting to catch up to the badger. Dark circles were beginning to become prominent under her eyes, and she was reacting to things a little slower than usual.

With a yawn, Serena looked out at the courtyard. But instead of the usual set-up, there were several small tables around the place. The twelve-year-old noticed that several of her peers were sitting at the tables. Some appeared to be painting their nails, and others were applying make-up. The sight flashed her back to evenings with her mother and aunt, having ‘Girls Nights’ where they painted their nails and did face-masks. Serena gave a small smile. She couldn’t wait to go back home and have those nights again. Maybe when she was back in London, she’d be able to sleep again.

Serena glanced down at her nails. She hadn’t thought about bringing any nail polish with her to Hogwarts, so they had been plain since August when their last Girls Night had been. Maybe the first-year should give her nails some much needed TLC? And perhaps she could mess around with make-up! Serena wasn’t really allowed to wear it at home yet, but her parents weren’t here to tell her no, so why not?

Serena walked over to where the others were. It was then that she noticed Professor Jenson and Professor Equinox sitting at a table. Were they there to supervise? Serena gave the two Heads of Houses a small wave and made her way over to an empty table. She opened up one of the boxes to reveal a selection of nail polishes. Serena began looking through them. She wasn’t quite sure what design she wanted yet but was confident that inspiration would come to her soon enough.

Serena glanced down at her outfit of the day. Even though it was summer and starting to become warmer, she was wearing a beige knitted sweater. She had paired it with a pink pleated skirt and a heart-shaped silver necklace. Perhaps a pale pink nail polish to go with her look? Besides, a lot of her current wardrobe was pink, so it would go well with anything. After rummaging in the box, she located a color that matched what she was envisioning.

Also grabbing a clear polish for the base coat, Serena sat down and got to work. She painted on a layer of clear polish. After waiting a few minutes, Serena shook up the bottle of the pale pink polish and opened it. She made sure to wipe off the excess and then began the first layer of color. After finishing both hands, it was clear that another coat would be needed for the color to really start shining through. So after waiting again for the nails to dry, Serena added on another layer. Satisfied with how the color appeared, she applied a coat of topcoat after ensuring that everything was dry.

While Serena was waiting for the final layer to dry, she noticed some crystals in the box with the nail polish supplies. Having another strike of inspiration, the first-year very carefully grabbed hold of a pair of tweezers and plucked out some of the gems. She applied one small white jewel, each on her thumb, index, middle, and pinkie nails. She also added one to her ring finger, but also added a small gold chain above it.

After waiting another few minutes for her nails to dry, Serena admired her new nails, giving them a small smile. She forgot how relaxing it was to paint her nails. The badger would definitely have to remember to pack some nail polish when she came back next year. It was hard to believe that her first year at Hogwarts was coming to an end. It had definitely been…eventful, to say the least.

Serena shook her head. No, she didn’t want to ruin the good mood she was in by dwelling on those events. After making sure that her nails were, in fact, completely dry, the first-year opened the other box on the table. This one was filled with all sorts of different make-up products. Despite watching both her mother and her aunt do their make-up before, Serena had never tried doing any of it herself. And honestly, she didn’t quite know where to begin. The badger looked up to see if any older students could help her, but everyone else seemed so busy with doing their own thing that Serena didn’t want to interrupt.

So, she began digging through the box and would just start trying to use whatever she ended up grabbing. Pulling her hand out of the box, there was a clear, cylindrical bottle with a gold and purple lid in her hands.

“Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer…” Serena muttered to herself. She had never heard of Tarte or Shape Tape before, but she recalled her mother using concealer to cover up blemishes and the dark circles under her eyes. Now, if this were a cartoon, a lightbulb would have appeared over the first-year’s head and lit up with a ‘Ding!’

Maybe Serena could use this…Shape Tape to cover up the ever-darkening circles under her eyes. And then no-one would have to be the wiser about her lack of sleep! But first, she would have to figure out how to apply it… But it couldn’t be that hard! Could it?

Opening the bottle, Serena noticed that there was an applicator similar to what was at the end of a lip gloss. She noticed that there was already some of the product on it, so she began spreading the pale liquid under her eyes. The badger wasn’t sure how much she would need, so she covered her entire under-eyes, dunking the applicator back into the bottle when needed. The concealer was very…sticky. And when she blinked, her eyelashes would sometimes get stuck.

Looking in the little hand-mirror on the table, Serena almost jumped out of her seat. Sure, her dark circles were gone, but she looked ridiculous! Surely it wasn’t supposed to look like that. Did she do something wrong? Serena sat there, trying to think about how her mother had applied her concealer, but unfortunately, her mind was coming up empty. The first-year looked around the room, trying to see if anyone else was using concealer, hoping to see how they were applying it.

Sylvain looked back at Professor Jensen as if she had said something to him. His brain took a second to catch up to what she'd just asked him as his mind had already began considering whether or not he should just go ahead and sit next to the stranger that caught his attention without anyone's permission.

"Actually, I think they can help me." Sylvain said as he began to drift away from Jensen. He turned back so as not to be impolite and did his best bow in appreciation. "Thank you Professor Jensen, I just need a trim I think.” He needed a lot more than a trim.

He mosied over to the station next to Cassandra's. As he approached, they very politely gave him permission to sit without asking. He thanked them, but he could not stop staring. "It's very considerate of you to offer me a seat, thank you." He moved all of his gear to rest at the bottom of the arrangement. He didn't want his knick-knacks getting in the way while he trimmed his nails.

He had come alone, so there was little in the way of comfortable conversation for him to make with friends, but again, the stranger spoke to him calmly.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, you are Sylvain right?"

He sat astonished for a second. This wasn't a new feeling to him, though it was rare for him to be on this side of it. Usually it was Sylvain that remembered someone's name and them who'd forgotten him. This person knew his name, and only took a few seconds to remember it.

"Y-yeah, M'name's Sylvain." He seemed to recall the student being assigned to House Slytherin during the sorting ceremony, but couldn't remember any specific interaction with the hat. "You must be Cassandra Ironwoods.” He remembered the snake's name, but knew next to nothing about them.

He extended his grubby gross dirty fingers out to shake Cassandra's purple dyed gloves, before retracting his offer a bit awkwardly. "Uh, sorry about that."

Returning to clipping his nails, he idly trimmed as he watched as they finished dying their hair. It was beautiful to him, as were their green eyes. "Oh, uh, hey, I really like the color you chose." He half whispered as they seemed occupied washing out their hair. They didn't seem to notice his sheepish whispering.

"Uhh.. Do you need help with that?" They asked him innocently enough while definitely attempting not to be grossed out by the dirt and grime caught beneath his finger nails. He was a gross boy.

"I don't know if I need it, but it's certainly very kind of you to offer. If I'm being honest, I came over here because I noticed your hair, and couldn't look away."

Well, he had just said it out loud. He was trying to offer a compliment, but neglected to think his words through all the way. He responded again nervously in an attempt to delay the inevitable disgust his staring and awkward gentleness usually brought him. "Uh, eh, that is to say, um."

"Speak Sylvain!" He thought to himself "Speak!”

“What I meant to say was that I think your hair looks fantastic, and I'd like it very much if you helped me understand why you wanted to change its color."
