Dear Elara,

Hi! Rosy here! I hope you're healthy and all! I miss you and Hogwarts soo much! Here in the muggle world, letters aren't used that much nowadays. We usually use Muggle gadgets to send messages that are received immediately. Don't ask me how, because I still don't know how it works!

I'm getting so bored here in London! All my friends are travelling, except me because my parents are doctors so we can't really travel much. My cousins do come over quite often, but I can't talk to them about magic and stuff because that's against the law!

I almost spilled the beans yesterday! We were talking about food, and I almost told them about the Hogwarts feast! If my mother hadn't pinched me, I could have been in Azkaban currently!

I was missing all of you so much, I thought- Letters aren't wizarding stuff, does that mean I can still contact my friends? And boom! Just like that, I landed here. The post office is really empty right now, to be honest. I don't like this a lot!

My Great aunt Susan is getting really nosy about the school I study in. One day, my parents got annoyed and told her that I study in "Saint Churchwell's Government School for Unnecessarily Rebellious Children." This time, when I met her, she refused to come within 5 feet of me! Not complaining though!

Enough yap from me though, I hope you reply soon enough. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Love,
Rosy

Dear Rosy,

Thank you for your letter. It was such a lovely surprise. I wasn't expecting an owl to arrive for me, so I was curious the moment I saw my name on the envelope. I read your letter as soon as I brought it inside.

Summer has been fairly quiet here. A few days ago, my mum and I went into town to pick up a few things, and we stopped by a little second hand bookshop on the way home. She let me choose one book, and I've been reading it every day since then. Whenever the weather is nice, I usually sit by the window or out in the garden with it for a while. I've also been trying to press flowers between the pages of an old notebook. Some turned out quite well, while others only became little brown petals.

Your story about almost telling your cousins about the Hogwarts feast made me laugh. That was a very close escape. I don't think I'd trust myself much either if someone asked too many questions about school. Your parents' story about "Saint Churchwell's Government School for Unnecessarily Rebellious Children" was even better. I almost feel sorry for your great aunt... almost.

Lately I've been thinking about Hogwarts a little more often. I can't wait for summer to end, so I can go there. Thank you again for writing to me. It made my afternoon a little brighter.

Love,

Elara Whitlock
