God, why did her mom's family like to drag Esther to formal events? She, Robin and her mom had decided to visit London for a while, before summer camp started. Too bad it was all the way in August. She had been looking forward it. And then all of a sudden her uncle Jonathan and aunt Maureen decided to tell the three of them about a gala they planned to visit, hosted by some people known as the Noxleys. Esther definitely did not go to school with a person whose last name was Noxley. As a matter of fact she had never even heard of that name.  They first decided to stop at New York City before making there way iver to London.

They arrived as Esther immediately brghtened up for she saw Beatrice or as she liked to call Bea in the doorway with Bonnie, a pink pygmy puff sqeaking on her shoulder. "Hello! You coming to the gala with us right? Mum said you'd be coming but I just want to confirm. You better be or else I'm gonna dump all of your Quidditch gear outside an apartment window. There's loads of them in New York City." Bea started as soon as Esther came inside. "Really?" Esther looked at her mom, thinking it was some joke. Why would her aunt and uncle out of all people invite them to a fancy gala? Her mother replied "Beatrice dear, why don't you show Esther and Robin around?" Her aunt and uncle agreed with Amelia, so Esther decided she'd get answers later. "Come on you two, there's a no maj at the nearby park giving out free ice cream! Mum and dad may not approve but who cares? Ice cream is ice cream!" Bea whispered so that only the two sisters could hear. "Your right!" Esther replied silently, knowing very well of her uncle, aunt and grandmother's belief in blood purity. They left the house, still chatting, after promising their parents they would be safe.

It was burining hot outside, luckily the park was nearbly or Esther would have not made it. They were delighted that the no maj with the ice cream had not run out. "Blueberry please!" She said to the ice cream man, and got one. Bea had decided to get a strawberry popsicle, to match with Bonnie while Robin had decided on a vanilla ice cream with cohocolate sauce. They had found a nice bench and ate their ice creams while chatting about various stuff. "So, have you thought about getting your pet yet?" Beatrice asked Esther. "If you do, try considering a pygmy puff, they're so cute!" "I'll see, maybe a-" Esther replied but was interupted by a squeal from Robin. They looked ahead and Esther saw the cutest thing ever. A small grey bunny was hoping around, looking for food. " Wait, I think I have a carrot, here!" Beatrice said, handing it over to Esther who held it out to the bunny. "I really wish I could keep her but it could belong to someone else." Esther said sadly while staring at the bunny. "Let's wait for a while to see if anyone comes for it." Robin suggested. They waited untill evening but nobody had asked for a bunny. In the end, they decided to take it home, as it was getting rather late. And after confirming several times with her family that it did not belong to anybody, they allowed her to keep it.

"Now it needs a name." Beatrice said that night after they finished their dinner. "How about Lonnie to rhyme with Bonnie?" "Hmm, not really." Esther replied. Suddenly she was reminded of a name she had read somewhere. It sounded very elegant. "I'm thinking Leona." She announced, standing up. "Leona it is!" Robin said happily. "Looks like Rowan will be getting a friend at home." She added.
