OOC note: Reducio1) While everything written is true for Dido, much is intentionally incorrect (eg: Dido is not in Ravenclaw)
2) For Angel, Dido's gift is:Dido had slipped into the tea shop and purchased a small handful of beautiful, shining gems which apparently would glisten and sparkle when touched by a wand. Since then, she had spent every single day twisting and fastening some of the “Blinglets” onto a chain to make what she hoped would be a lovely addition to Angel’s jewellery.
Dido grinned at Tina’s enthusiastic comment, shrugging slightly with a “what can I say?” look, as if she hadn’t spent hours sitting in bed, swishing and stabbing at the air with her wand in an attempt to practise. Just as she turned to respond, a slightly rude but well-intentioned reply lined up, she noticed another Ravenclaw, Tina’s room-mate, walking towards them, a beautiful cake, assumably meant for Angel, floating in the air before her.
Tina and the girl, “Fawkes” apparently, immediately began chatting animatedly and, as was by then typical for Dido, her smile fell and her eyes narrowed, staring at the pair. Their easy banter was an affront to Dido’s whole being; Who was this girl to speak to her best friend like-
Tina introduced Dido to Fawkes. As her best friend. That’s right, Dido thought cheerily and a little maliciously, That’s me, not you, Fawkes. Thankfully, she didn’t say this thought and kept it hidden, allowing a moment for the Ravenclaw to greet Dido almost as amicably as Dido’s consideration had been unfair.
After Dido responded to Fawkes, the three girls continued setting up the party, Tina utterly determined to ensure that it would be the best possible event for Angel, Dido noticed another girl she recognised head over. With a quick glance at Tina to check that this girl had in fact been invited, Dido gave a little wave, forgoing a real greeting in case she forgot the poor girl’s name. Luckily, said girl introduced herself quickly, removing the problem, and Dido nodded intently in agreement with Tina’s acceptance of help.
After about another half hour, or perhaps more, of setting up, Tina ran off to inform Angel that the party actually existed. Dido took the moment to ask the other two girls a question.
“Do you guys have a present for Angel?”
She almost immediately followed the question up with, “Because I do but-like- I’m happy to wait until this evening to give it to her if you guys don’t- I’m her room-mate, you see and…”
Dido trailed off, waiting for a response. Whether or not one came, Dido eventually decided that she would give the present then instead of waiting. After all, if they hadn’t brought presents, it was their own fault.
Almost immediately after Tina had come back, Dido spotted the characteristically perfect pose of one Angel Dayes near the group and, with utter and pure excitement, Dido began to grin and giggle quietly at the girl’s approach. She grabbed some stars from Tina and, waiting until Tina’s count, Dido threw the stars into the air to either side of Angel, hoping that the others would send theirs more in the girl’s direction.
As the stars settled, Dido ran forward and hugged Angel briefly, calling, “Happy Birthday!” into the slightly taller girl’s ear. She pulled out the small silk bag which had come with the “blinglets” and pressed it into Angel’s hands before, at last, stepping back from the slightly beleaguered Slytherin.

So far the celebration was quaint, bright and for the most part, merry. Plenty of happy birthday greetings were lingered towards her, one thing was for certain her presence was known notably easily as of this moment. Dido Bleaklane, her roommate and friend stepped up towards her space and gave her a warm hug and a greeting, as well as a little gift. Binglets were very unique in itself and Angel received it with a warm smile.
"Why thank you Dido, you shouldn't have!" her words were more than true as she began to feel flattered
She remembered the times she would always go to her garden and frolic about in the summer weather burning against time. Mother would wake her up with startling her as she was amused by Angel's reaction to her own fright. Father was surprisingly the opposite, he would simply say his happy birthday greeting and tell her to come down for almusal. Those were the times. Her friends would be invited and her parents were particularly fond of impromptus. Her birthdays were always that same theme annually. This time was polarizing, her birthday was spent with friends rather than relatives or family. Entirely with friends
