A Common Acquaintance?
During dinner Rosalind had felt jittery. She was so excited for the coming meeting. The veela really wanted to know more about the trinket she had found and apparently this Ravenclaw was notorious for his knowledge and interests in mysterious things. Well, if Rosalind was honest she wasn’t really sure. After all, it was Erik that recommended him and the boy always looked a bit nervous around her. The lioness shrugged and hoped that the meeting was worth it.
After she had reached out to the boy for a meeting about her necklace, she had promptly gotten an owl back. The answer had been to the point and pleasant, kind of what the lioness had expected from a Raven. Erik hadn’t really told her much about him, only that she should expect a skinny second year with crooked glasses. She was fine with that. The silver haired girl only hoped he knew something about her trinket or could help her at least discover some good books about it. Well, if he didn’t know anything, maybe he could help her discover more and point her into the right direction. Rose looked around the great hall one more time and set on her path.
They had agreed to meet at the front desk of the library, because, if it was research she required, it would be research she’d get. As Rosalind waited there she got questionable glances from one of the other students near and was asked if she needed anything from the desk. Rosalind blushed as she understood she had blocked the queue to check books out. She quickly sidestepped and got out of the way, just as she gave a little wave in apology.
Then she looked questionably at her wristwatch and pursed her lips. Just a few more seconds and the boy would be running late. She hoped he would come and she wouldn’t make a fool out of herself. She decided to give him a little more time and if he didn’t come she would try to dabble in all these books by herself. Rosalind nodded to herself and stood more upright. She was determined to get this done. Mysteries should always be solved. Rosalind gave a little smirk at that. Then the grand doors of the library were shoved open, almost as if too much force was used to open them. The veela bristled as if real feathers were rustled at the sudden intrusion.
